Everything one needs for an overnight stay when on the long road.
This place is a lovely hidden gem. Marina, the host, was lovely and even drove all the way from work early to let us in. There is secure parking behind a locked gate and it is in a quiet neighbourhood which allowed for a good night's sleep. The value for money was excellent and the room was a good size, comfortable and offered a lot of privacy. We will definitely be coming back here.

I was hesitant about doing this review because. No kitchenette basin to wash dish's. No hot water tap in the bathroom basin. See photo of the basin, with the single tap. No earth leakage switch on the premises DB board. The only hot water was from boiling the kettle and pouring it in the, which could heat stress break the basin. If these issues were resolved, this place would be well worth the money spent. NB. I was hesitant about talking to anyone about problems because this appears to be a mother daughter run business with the elderly mother receiving guests. NB. No refund is requested, the stay serves our purpose as a night sty over during our trip from Bloemfontein to Cape Town.

Went in winter, it was very cold, no heater. No basin with running water in kitchen and in the bathroom, basin only had cold water. Extremely uncomfortable to wash dishes. Very tiny, hardly any space to move other than that it was fine for an overnight stay.

We were received very kindly. The place is convenient for an overnight stay, but not suitable for longer. The bathroom sink does not have a hot water faucet, making it difficult for a man to shave. We had to boil water in the kettle. There are also no washing-up facilities for the dishes. You can take a look at the mold that has formed around the sink faucet and on the wall above the sink. Furthermore, there are no complaints.
If you're travelling far and need a comfy, neat, simple and value for money place to spend the night so you can resume your travels the next day then this is the perfect place for you.

I slept great. The bed felt like a little cloud. Very nice. I would prefer to have extra channels on TV. There were almost no available TV channels. The room was very clean and tidy. And the silence helped me a lot, as I am a light sleeper. So the fact that Rus-i-Biki is away from the high street helps a lot! I would have preferred there to be a sink in the kitchen to wash my flask and mug before I hit the long road again, but there was no sink in the kitchen, nor an ashtray to put my rubbish in not. Otherwise, I rested very well and was treated very very kindly by the owner.

Marketed as self-catering, but there is no sink for washing dishes in kitchen area and must be washed in bathroom sink. No braai facilities, small, detached outdoor braai would be pleasant.
We slept here on the way to the cape. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. We traveled with our baby, and he can sleep over for free in his own cot. The place is very small, but cozy and well equipped. We will definitely stay there again!

When we arrived there after a long road being tired and sweaty we could not take a shower because of the drought. Although we understand that, Guesthouses must make provision for their guests to have hot water or let them know advance that there is no hot water.
5 liters of drinking water was made available. Coffee and tea bags, sugar and milk available when we arrived. Neighbour farms with pigeons - so the chirping of the pigeons can be heard early in the morning. Not annoying.
