20 guests' feedbackPleasant and safe. Rear gate parking. Thanks for the microwave in the room. They didn't mention WiFi. It would help if perhaps a folding table could fit behind the front door against the wall. Will help especially if it rains to use.
It was a satisfying visit. Pamper yourself with the delicious Karoo lamb chops and Karoo barbecue sausage with side dishes. Thank you, we appreciated it.
Had a great time and swam, just didn't have hot water to shower.
We arrived late Sunday afternoon. Friendly welcome by the host. Rest a little arranged for us a nice Boontjie Stew with salad and pudding, at a minimal extra cost (which was already arranged that way). The village is a small rural place with not many shops. There is a place to eat not far from there, but everything is closed on a Sunday. Quiet town and you can enjoy nature while walking leisurely through the streets. Can recommend it for an overnight or a day or 2 stay.
Slept well with a walk through the whole town.
Real farm feel. You can walk and explore the town in summer, and visit The Windmill to experience Loxton at its best!
Lots of dust on the blanket chest, dust under the ornaments in the bookcase, the shower head falls off when you try to adjust it. You feel like a safe thief trying to get the water to the right temperature. The owner did leave candy, but I would have appreciated an extra blanket. I felt so uncomfortable there, I gave way a night earlier.
We loved the place and the service we received.
We had a lovely stay at Rus 'n Bietjie. Sandy really went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The barbecue packs were very generous portions, extra information about the area and she was in constant contact with us as we drove to Loxton. Top notch Karoo hospitality!

Pleasant place to stay in beautiful Loxton. Very quiet and comfortable accommodation in the town.
The facilities were full of cobwebs, even though they were nicely presented. We had two units, one with only a kettle and fridge and the other with extremely basic kitchen items. Not enough plates and cutlery for our group of 6. Luckily we took our own, otherwise we would not have been able to cook. No restaurants open in the evening, so you are forced to cater for yourself. Beds in 4 sleeper unit were horrible. Mattresses are finished. Bunkbed crammed into tiny room - would make more sense to have bunkbed in unit with kitchen facilities. Shower in 4 bedroom unit's showerhead is blocked, so water doesn't come out properly. Photos show spacious facilities, but that is not the case. It is such a pretty place from outside, but inside needs TLC and attention to detail. No hot water tap in kitchen, no drying up towel.

Not value for money paid compared to other places I have stayed for the same price. Advert pictures bit misleading. However if better priced would be a pleasant stay. Friendly and helpful people.
Neat clean and peaceful place. Arranged for indoor barbecue as it was raining. We asked for barbecue packets and our hostess went absolutely out of her way with it. Delicious barbecue sandwiches, salad and lamb tops and lamb sausage.
Hopelessly overpriced for what you get. Don't know if it's self catering or not, no breakware or braai items. Hostess not seen at all. Would not recommend it.
People's way of welcoming and accommodating you plays a very big role. Cindy you are an amazing person and absolutely got 20 out of 10. Thank you very much, it was so nice for us in Loxton. Definitely one of my favorite villages in South Africa.
If it shows that there is a pool and you get there and no water in the pool. It is self catering so we booked 2 months in advance for 4 guests. No cutlery in room. Shower has no hot water and pressure. Fortunately, there was an open room available where we could have taken a shower.
