It is a lovely tranquil space with a lovely view over the estate and sea!
Stay was very nice! Owners were friendly. It has everything that you need and very neat and clean. I definitely recommend it for others and we will definitely go back there!

We received travel information on how to find the place which was extremely good. Place was neat and private, with only the sound of the sea and waves which was very therapeutic. I would go again anytime. Even the loadshedding times were forwarded to avoid any discomfort. More bedding was provided as the weather was cool and raining. Especially good and we appreciate the stay.

The apartment is sufficiently furnished to enjoy a few days in the area. There were a few items short in the kitchen (kettle for the gas, egg spatula, cutting board etc.). The bathroom is very small, but has a lovely shower. The fridge didn't cool enough (think the loadshedding makes it draw heavily). The apartment is located near the pebble beach by the sea. Good base for visiting the area.

The man from Rus 'n Bietjie is very friendly, but the woman was unfriendly, has very ugly manners. Would never want to go there. Was no pleasure and there is not even a dishtowel or Wifi, had to ask for Wifi.
For me, the steep stairs were a bit difficult to climb. Am a diabetic and very afraid of falling. Have no complaints.
We really only stayed one night, but would really enjoy a weekend there. The facilities are clean. We were received kindly, precautions were taken for load shedding. And that tub is amazing. I can happily recommend it to any traveler who just wants to get away.
The small details were really nice. Rolled up towels on each bed and a chocolate. It gave an element of effort and love.

We were a family of 3. Steve's place was perfect for a lovely, quiet weekend. He was very hospitable and welcomed us with open arms. The area is very safe and quiet, in the afternoons and early mornings we could hear the ocean's ebb and flow over the rocks. It is a very beautiful area and location and Rus 'n Bietjie is the perfect place to go and rest for a weekend. I can definitely recommend it.

We loved staying in the reserve. Great sea view to wake up to. But I fear it will be lost once the area full develops. All amenities were good. We enjoyed the big bath which we could use together (romantic touch). Mirror was awkwardly situated over bath and too high for my wife. Host could consider another mirror at a lower level.
During the day there was plenty to do and see between Suiderstrand, Agulhas and Struisbaai. When we needed to relax a bit, the children could watch a story or play board games with us while the fire was burning for a nice barbecue. Thank you very much Steve for your hospitality!
The location is unbeatable for a city escape. The view from the apartment is excellent. Amenities are basic and could be better but the hosts are exceedingly happy to help with any needs promptly. There is extremely limited mobile reception which may be what you desire but is important to consider in advance.

There was only one blanket. Also no tin opener, corkscrew bottle opener, no sharp knives and only one tiny frying pan. There could also have been a few more glasses and bowls. The host was pleasant and helpful but should stay in the place himself to see what is lacking.

Due to a booking mix-up, we were very fortunate to have the owner's upstairs apartment with a deck that has a magnificent sea-view, albiet in the distance, and watched a spectacular sunset. Of the other two apartments that are normally rented out, the ground floor one in front is better situated but both are well-equipped and the beach is only a few hundred metres away.
Was very pleasant. So nice by the sea.

The venue was clean, cosy, comfortable with a stunning view. Venue only has a bath, no TV or WiFi so if that's what you need then you will be disappointed. Fully equipped kitchen, very relaxing. Steve was an excellent, friendly, welcoming host.

All was fine, pleasant stay, comfortable and beautiful house. Only problem we had was our check out time, which was confirmed by Steve at 14:00, but at 12:00 a very unfriendly lady came to our door and said that they have guests checking in at 14:00, and that she needs us to vacate as soon as possible as she still needs to clean the house. As we were still busy packing up and taking our stuff to the car the lady just came in and started taking off the bedding and started cleaning. She was unfriendly and rude, so we just got in our car and left. We did have a lovely time and would recommend this place to anyone, but only our last few hours we had was not pleasant.
