A very scenic spot right on the Marina. The self-catering unit had all the amenities and the staff were attentive and helpful.

Pleasant, we were not there much since we used the accommodation for the night. While we were there, it was very pleasant.
It was really easy to find. The restaurant is excellent and the service is wonderful. The host went out of her way to accommodate us.
No, the stay was then made for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day without any prior notice. No breakfast or any other services were available. The pool was full of bugs and leaves, and the front door was locked. I didn't have a table anywhere to work with my computer. Room 4 needs an air conditioner, the ceiling fan is totally inadequate. The toilet seat is too small for the toilet. The breakfast on Friday 5 January 2024 was unbeatable.
The view is breathtaking and the beds sleep wonderfully. Solette is an excellent hostess! The unit is with wow!

The place is in the high standard for the tourists to use.
If there is any negative, it's the shelf for the decoder that is awkwardly placed at shoulder height and is in the way. I did bring this to their attention. Everything else was superb.

Russels on Port is located on the Marina close to the beach and by a wetland with a large variety of birds. There is a choice between self-catering and restaurant seating with friendly reception.

This was by far the best place we have ever stayed. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The place was as clean as can be. The beds were perfect. Sunsets made for amazing pics with the view. And not once did we worry about safety and security. Well done guys, it was an amazing stay.
Russells on the Port is an absolute gem. Our unit was clean, equipped with all amenities for self-catering. The balcony overlooking the marina was such a treat. The staff is top notch. Will be back very soon.
However, the sound carries a lot between room 1 and 2. Walls are very thin and it hinders a bit of privacy if someone stays in the room next door. Otherwise very nice.
Everything is very neat, ideal getaway place where you can just rest.
Walking distance to Charlie's Brewhouse and Poetic License gin distillery.
It's convenient to walk to Charlie's and the Poetic License distillery, and the views from the balcony rooms are great. The grounds offer secure vehicle parking and are well kept. The lapa area and pool will be welcome during summer stays.

Russels is located in a very nice part of Port Owen. We had a beautiful view and the room was spacious and had very nice decor. The manager was very nice and helpful. When we left in the morning he came specially to make us cappuccinos because their restaurant was then Monday and Tuesday. We really enjoyed it and would recommend Russells.

For: luxury self-catering units, well equipped (even a dishwasher), located on a beautiful, private quay with the most beautiful sunsets. The restaurant serves delicious food. Against: Garden unit no 8 is priced too high compared to the quay view units no 7 and 9. The DStv has about 4 or 5 channels. Suggestions: Book at units 7 or 9 instead, the view is fantastic from there.
Please be careful when you book for accommodation at Russells on the Port. Our booking confirmation says breakfast Included. The on duty reception manager disrupted our breakfast and other guests sitting nearby, that the booking website made a mistake to include breakfast. He spoke loud disrupting conversations family and friends were having at our table and other guests that they topic of discussion across tables and other guests were all about the booking websites and Russells on the Port making their problem now our problem.
Everyone was friendly, restaurant excellent, service very good. Rooms were clean and very nice. The manager Enver, went out of his way to help us the day after Christmas when my husband was so ill, much appreciated.
The staff was very professional, rooms beautiful, view, felt like a holiday destination. We had dinner in the restaurant, food was excellent. Our friends were also very impressed. Thank you very much.
The guest house has two buildings of which we stayed in the house 2 plots away from the main building. The room was very small but neat and it is the Garden View Room. It was more of a parking view room because it overlooks the parking area and there are some plants outside. It was a bit of a disappointment as the rooms are quite expensive. The shower's hot and cold were also switched in the room so my husband burned himself a bit. The restaurant is probably one of the best we have ever been to, the food and service are excellent and worth every penny. It is located in a very nice part of Port Owen but it doesn't help much if you are in a small room at the back overlooking the parking area. The only bad feedback is the rooms are hopelessly overpriced for what you get.
From the moment I stepped in, the whole experience was extremely pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The meals are outstanding and the wine selection good. All criticism is that the inter-room soundproofing is poor. Guests talking in the next room, their TV, etc. is clearly audible. Even though the costs are high, it was worth every penny for us.
Russels on the Port provides a luxury and service oriented accommodation option on the Marina. Sorry though that I had to pay for two nights even though we only stayed one night.
