A small, but quaint little place to sleep in when traveling. Everything a traveler needs to have a good night's rest. Welcoming and friendly.
Everything you need for a quick getaway was there. Close to town. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
Very neat accommodation with all facilities.
The owners are very friendly. Area is very quiet and safe. Plekkie is furnished with all the basic necessities. You are left in peace, but also know that you can knock if you need something.
We were there basically from late afternoon till mid-morning. Everything was fine apart from the neighbours being noisy.
I would stay at Rust en Vrede again.

Suitable for single person only. Very tiny accomodation. Pictures do not depict just how tiny it is. Son greeted us on arrival. He gave us the key and We had to ask him to show us accomodation. Hosts later came home and were super friendly and polite. We send message to find out process for departure. no response. telephoned. no response. Eventually just left key inside too. The. We got a call and again they were super friendly. But the check in check out process definitely needs attention and Their response time to guests.
Perfect place for a couple wanting to reconnect and just break away.

We loved staying at Rust en Vrede. The hosts were wonderful. The flatlet was clean and was serviced each day. I would highly recommend Rust and Vrede to anyone wanting accommodation in Malmesbury.

Was very cramped but very neat and fully equipped. We were warmly welcomed and were helped to unload and carry the luggage.
I stayed here for 3 nights for work purposes. The unit has a cosy atmosphere and the room is comfortable due to everything you need being there. The unit was super clean. The owners are really nice people and make you feel welcome ─ they didn't lie when they said I'll enjoy my stay. Everything needed was supplied ─ microwave, kettle, fridge etc. As this is the only unit available you do have your own little braai area and privacy. I will recommend this unit to others.
It was very comfortable. The owners were extremely friendly. It's also not too far from the shops, close to public transport also for those who don't have private transport. It was incredibly nice and would choose Rust en Vrede over and over again if I stayed overnight in Malmesbury.

Rust & Vrede is a typical old cleaner's room, behind a garage in the corner of the yard, which has been neatly converted into an open-plan bedroom, kitchenette and dining area. There was everything you need, little extras that I noticed that made a difference are sufficient detergent at the sink with clean wash/scouring sponge and dishcloths, bag of ice in fridge, grill and wood at the grill. Even big bottle of shower soap in shower (don't know if previous guest forgot it there or if it's standard). There are cutlery and crockery for 4 people, even a braai tong, cutting board and serving bowls. Towels were fresh and clean. All areas neat and clean. If you are used to DStv Premium, the Openview (OVHD) satellite TV installed there is very limited and dull. Basically just SABC and e-TV. At least an HD LCD flat screen TV in the room. The ad advertises free WiFi, but the internet forwarder in the owner's house was turned off, so we couldn't take advantage of the free WiFi. The host/hostess was not home but called to apologize. Sent a text to indicate the key is under a certain brick. Other than that I have no complaints and will stay there again if I have business in Malmesbury. Thank you very much.
