Quiet and serene, secure and wonderful interaction with the host, Ernie. The Rustica Accommodation is perfect for a family group/friends group of 10. Comfortable accommodation, lovely braai areas and a secure setting. Ernie is a knowledgeable and most friendly host who went out of his way to make our stay as relaxing as possible. There was a cot and single bed placed in our little apartment to accommodate my children. 100% awesome. We had a lovely garden area to braai in and laze around. There are no loud noises happening, making it easy to switch off. The location is quiet and safe. The oom who owns the place is just so nice and more than willing to help with anything. We really enjoyed our stay.

Upon arrival we were welcomed with open arms. Uncle Ernie is truly someone who taught us a lot more about the area and history. We enjoyed his chats. Very involved and makes sure you rest well and don't lack for anything. We will definitely go back again for a nice rest at Uncle Ernie's.
Rustica is an ideal place to spend the night when you need peace and quiet. It is within walking distance of a restaurant, church and close to Clarens and the Lesotho border. The Rose Cottage is very private with a braai area, small bathroom and is well equipped with towels and the necessary cutlery, kettle, microwave oven and fridge. There are also warm blankets and a small heater which is great in the winter. The host is very helpful and makes you feel right at home.

The accommodation was not what we expected, a "small" zozo hut with shared bathroom facilities. Luckily it wasn't fully booked and we had the common area to ourselves. Nevertheless, the host made us feel very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay there. We will definitely go there again when we are in that area.
The place looks better in the photos than in reality, it needs some attention, we understand it's a small town and it's just a farm, but it's not to everyone's taste. It was clean and it worked for us to be able to stay close to the Lesotho border. The room is a little too full of goodies. The toilet needs attention, I think only the room we stayed in needs some attention. Furthermore, the service was good and the owner very friendly and helpful.

The place is incredibly beautiful and very neat. The rooms are very beautiful and we were so impressed with each room's theme. There are electric blankets, a fan, a heater, towels, extra blankets and a hairdryer, TV and braai area. Uncle Ernie is incredibly friendly and can tell you a lot about Fouriesburg and which places to visit. He makes a lot of effort and makes sure you have everything you need. It was so nice to get up in the morning and see the bunnies running around, the mountains right around you and of course the silence. We felt very much at home and really enjoyed our weekend! We definitely recommend Rustica if you want to get away to a quiet, peaceful and comfortable place.

Owner went out of his way to get our braai area ready and also to supply power for our camping freezer in the back of our vehicle. He also provided information about Fouriesburg and provided advice on the route we needed to follow. Great service!
We stayed one night for a wedding just outside Fouriesburg. Nice location, quiet although there is not much to do in Fouriesburg itself.
Rustica is indeed considered adequate by the owner, but we are sorry, in all respects the facilities do not meet civilized people's habits. The place detracts from the website's standards. We or friends would rather find a place to live elsewhere.
I stayed only one night at Rustica. Ernie, the owner, was very welcoming and made an effort to accommodate me despite the fact that he was busy with renovations. It was clean, tidy, and conformable with all the basics.

The accommodation is definitely what the name describes. These are very cute wooden houses. It was very nice clean and tidy. Nicely equipped. The bathroom facilities are well appointed and tidy. Our reception was very friendly and we immediately felt at home. We will definitely stay there again!

Rustica Accommodation really offers value for money and it is located in a safe environment. It is about 30 km from Clarens and therefore easy to get there. The owner was very friendly and there was a good sense of hospitality.
Genuine welcoming by the host, that was available throughout the stay, told interesting information about the town and environment and upgraded me from a bedroom to an apartment because it was a quieter weekend. The apartment was comfortably furnished. The property is on the edge of the town with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and within walking distance from everything that is needed to be discovered in Fouriesburg.
It was just cold. But the fire helped a lot, as did the heaters provided. Very nice village.
Our room was neat and clean with everything that you need. The electric blanket was convenient, it was cold! The outside area needs attention because there was heavy rain and it was a mud-mess till the next morning - the bathroom is outside and separate. Paving will make a big difference.
