Was a very nice weekend full of visits on Gansbaai.
Very peaceful, pleasant, with beautiful flora. Perfect if you have a dog with you.

Nothing like seeing the sea all day.
Clyde, the owner, was a wonderful host via WhatsApp and Jennifer, the hostess, was a wonderful hostess in person. Chocolates, a bottle of wine and cookies were left for us to make us feel extra welcome. The house is unadorned, rustic and just a really nice holiday home, with comfortable beds, enough appliances in the kitchen, a fireplace with a sea view and an excellent location. Take extra blankets for the winter, as well as a bag of wood for the fireplace, otherwise you won't need anything. Here you can just come and relax.
We felt very safe. The children could play freely and could even play in the water on their own while we sat on the balcony. Motorists are considerate as are the neighborhood's people. Excellent for a family vacation!
The place is actually clean, but due to the rusty stove plates and fridge give the place the impression that it is not clean. One set of bedding also had stains on it. One does not want to cook there even if it is self-catering. You can see they are working on the place, but unfortunately it is not quite right yet. Beautiful view and location of house.
We spent four lovely nights at Vakansiehuis by die See. You can't ask for a better location and the sunsets are unbelievable. The house is sufficient for a bigger group, but the crockery can be updated a little. Apart from that, it was really a superb stay.

Waking up with the sound of the waves was amazing, the view was spectacular. Just feel that the accommodation was not as clean as I would have hoped. Also feel the stove can be replaced with a better one. Microwave was on top of the fridge and I could not reach it had to get the taller person to assist.

House rules
1. Please note there is no smoking allowed in the house.2. Only guests that booked, may stay overnight.
3. No loud noise between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00.
4. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur on the premises or its facilities. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests expressly accept the risk of being harmed as a result of their use of the premises or others inviting them to use the premises.
5. Keep the property and all furniture in order.
6. Use devices only for their intended use. No fish bait is allowed to be stored in the fridge/freezer. If it is done it must be cleaned at an additional fee.
7. No pets allowed without permission.
8. Parking is limited to 3 vehicles. Parking on the street is not allowed. Towing cars can be towed under supervision. Appropriate fines or towing fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
9. There are no daily cleaning services.
10. Any rubbish should be stored in the correct rubbish bin, which is located at the back of the house.
11. The property makes use of a septic system.
12. The septic system is very effective; however, it will become clogged if improper material is flushed. If any damages are caused by flushing the wrong materials, guests will be held liable for the damaging costs.
13. A TV monitor and HDMI cable are also available with WiFi at an additional cost.
14. Upon arrival there will be bath towels, a small tub of detergent and toilet paper. When finished it is the guests' responsibility to replace the items.
