Sabaan is very nicely located. Even though everything is already on the older side, everything has been very clean and tidy.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The communication and directions were great, and we were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. The owner is involved on a daily basis. The resort grounds are well-maintained, and each chalet has private parking. The facilities for a large function are great, and the views are stunning.

We had a great stay, waking up to such a wonderful view can only make your day. Children really enjoyed the slide and the trampolines. Place was clean and tidy. And the staff are all so friendly. Will definitely use the accommodation again.
Our stay was lovely, really quiet, felt very close to nature. It was so nice. My kids loved it.
Challets are neatly clean, bed linen nice and clean. Grill exterior is rusted through, pieces fell off while we were grilling. Boiler leak will need to be replaced. Laundry rack is broken. A shortage of plugs in the kitchen area. Lighting in the room makes it difficult to color your face. The road to the farm is not suitable for a car that is low. If it rains it will be very muddy and difficult to get out. It is also a single lane road.
Had a restful time away from home in the mountains. Children enjoyed the pool.
The road to the accommodation was bad. It is not meant to accommodate small vehicles. If they can put paving or tar road.
Most beautiful view, comfortable, clean linen. Wonderful area and facilities for children on site. From tarmac quite a distance through orchards on dirt road, but beautiful. Signal was very bad at times. Maybe make WiFi available. Maybe make the gate so that you don't have to open it from the inside with a remote. Quite a distance to walk and drop in keys and someone has to hold the gate open during that time.

Great service from start to finish!
Weekend away with our children and parents for my husband's birthday. We were 9 adults and the accommodation was very nice and comfortable. House is delightfully cool among the trees with a beautiful outside picnic and braai area. The service and reception was very friendly and welcoming. Marietjie gave us all the information about things to do in the area to make our weekend even better. The accommodation is well located near adventure camps, the town, God's Window and so much more.

The welcoming wasn't warm. My friends decided to walk to our chalet and they (adults) were reprimanded and asked why they did not get in the vehicle instead. We were given a 4 sleeper bed although we had booked for 5. When I brought this up, I had to provide proof because the lady I was speaking to would not believe me. Fortunately, I had printouts. There is also no backup generator. We checked in around 6-7pm and between then and the next morning ±5am, we only had electricity for ±2 hours. Bring your power banks. The geyser made horrible noises every 5 minutes on our first night, and we could barely sleep; fortunately, it stopped the next day. Otherwise, the place was clean and their guard, Thabo, was very helpful. At the pool were 2 couples. They made remarks about us (black people) being in the pool to bathe because we cannot swim. They spoke amongst themselves and probably thought we couldn't understand them. We took this in our stride. The pool was nice though. The owner was nice on Saturday and Sunday when we checked out. Friday was something different. We all go through a lot, hence we take breaks, but always treat people with kindness.
My child slipped and fell because a piece of concrete was sticking out. She was transported by ambulance to Nelspruit because her knee was dislocated and all ligaments were torn. Now she is going to need multiple surgeries to fix this. Instead of the 3 nights we paid for, we ended up staying 2 nights. I have not heard a single word from the owner regarding this matter.
Can there please a mirror in apartment 19 is put in the 2nd bedroom. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you very much.
Facilities are aged, however are in working condition and kept clean. The staff and team really go out of their way to accommodate and assist their guests with local information and entertainment.
The unit we stayed in was nice and clean and had everything we needed, but the place needed some renovation and renewal. Our 2 yorkies and parrot had a wonderful time together!

The location is an ideal sanctuary. The unit was spacious and well appointed.
We are a family of 4, children are 11 and 16. We had a great time. Welcomed by aunt Rina and everything was right and in place. No problems. Got a good night's rest. Nice close to the game park for day visit. We are sports people so the table tennis and tennis court were especially nice to use and the children had a good time swimming (even if the water is cold). Really just had a great time here! This was not our first or last visit to Sabaan.
The houses are clean and tidy and rates very affordable. The service is excellent, hospitable and friendly. The view beautiful! We will definitely come again.
We were welcomed with open arms. Rina is absolutely there for her guests in every way. If there was loadshedding we found paraffin lamps and emergency lights on our bench outside the door upon returning from our day's excursion. Rina came every day to see if everything was okay or if there was something we were missing. There is also a guard with his dog patrolling the premises every night. I would recommend anyone to visit this gem!

People! You can book here. It was our 2nd time here and if we can we will go every year. All you hear during the day is the splash of water and people visiting! In the evening it is dead quiet and you only hear the night animals! You are on top of a mountain so all you see is a star! Best place!
Beautiful surroundings with a beautiful view. The resort is off the road and accessible by a well maintained road. The owner spared no effort to get the entire resort in a state of total care, cleanliness and care. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful place. The resort has been carefully designed to make visits for families very pleasant.
It was a very short stay. The location is a bit far from the Hazyview centre but the accommodation is excellent. The owner is very good and helpful. The place is ideal for family and friends for a lovely break. Just loved the dogs! Most importantly I didn’t find a single insect inside the apartment during monsoon. It was neat and clean.

The inside of the rooms is not so great. Old couches, not comfy, pictures are deceiving. Outside views are great though. I think guests should get warned of the dirt road leading to the establishment which is fairly long - we nearly got stuck after it rained. Owners/management not so friendly - they couldn't wait to see us off. Literally told us to leave now because we were a bit late for check-out. Truly not impressed. We could not even get one photo on the premises because we were ordered off the grounds, we finished packing on the road.
The management is perfect and thanks to that lady there. I love Sabaan.

Sabaan was such a nice place. The manager made us feel so welcome and was so accommodating. One simply felt at home. It is very close to Numbi and Phabeni gates if you want to visit the Kruger National Park. Even better, I could take my yorkies and they enjoyed it just as much. The view is just as beautiful. I recommend Sabaan to anyone, the service was excellent as well as the view. Everything was beautifully green, clean and tidy and the people are incredibly peaceful. We had a wonderful break there and would definitely stay there again.

We were a family with three teenagers - there was the tranquility of the farm for me and my husband and for the teenagers there was the beautiful pool and ping pong and trampoline. We didn't have small children but there is even a play area for little ones. The management goes out of their way to make your visit as comfortable as possible. They are also always ready with advice for attractions. I will definitely stay here again if I go to the lowlands.

Sabaan is a very breathtaking place to visit, value for money and the services provided are exceptionally good. You have the most beautiful view in front of you when you wake up in the morning and the silence is just special. You are in the middle of almost everything, the waterfalls, the Kruger National Park, Gods Window and you are between Hazyview and Sabie. Sabaan's staff are all so friendly and happy to help you with anything, it's not a problem for them.
Peaceful, really enjoyed the stay, if you need a good rest, go and visit. Thanks to Rina who made us really comfortable.

The road to Sabaan is very bad. Very difficult to get to. Accommodation is very budget. Everything is very old and cutlery and crockery were not very clean. It wasn't the most comfortable stay and it was difficult to get in and out of the resort as we were wanting to go out on a daily basis. I would not recommend a stay here.
Saban we will see you again for sure! They were able to help us with accommodation at the last minute and everything went smoothly. The resort was so much fun for my children 4, 6 and 8 year old boys, that they didn't want to drive to go do other things. Can't wait to go again!

The accommodation was fine, it's in the centre of most of the tourist attractions. The only problem there is the dirt road, I won't recommend someone with a small car to stay there.
Sabaan Resort is central to the most areas of nature like the Panoramic and the Kruger National Park and Blyde River Canyon that makes Sabaan Holiday Resort a perfect stay if you would like to experience nature with kids. Even my 2 year old enjoyed the facility. Thank you Sabaan Resort to make my life easier like that.
The view is beautiful and the drivers are very friendly and helpful. We just feel that the dirt road to the resort needs to be scraped again and that the chalets need to be upgraded a bit.
All that is needed at Sabaan is to make the place a little more comfortable, such as with cupboards to be able to pack your things, because there is not much space at all to store food or clothes. I will pay more attention to the buildings and put more effort so that the places are more modern.

The rooms or the one we were allocated was very old. Old furniture and I don't mean antique, I mean old. Uncomfortable old couches, one of the beds was like the wire bed. I honestly was not impressed at all, the fridge with no drawers, the kitchen cupboards. The owners need to work on renovating especially the inside of the rooms. Kids play areas very nice, kids enjoyed it.
The resort needs a lot of improvement for guests to enjoy their stay, more especially the chalets.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is well located, close to all the popular attractions in the area. We were warmly and kindly received and treated kindly throughout. The chalet was big enough, well equipped, clean and tidy. It's wonderfully quiet and peaceful and almost feels like a tropical island under the big trees and singing of the birds. As a family with small children, I can criticize one point: the play area is not practical for a child under 3. The toys are big and tall, there is nothing to accommodate a little one. Other than that we would definitely be able to recommend the place, and hope to visit again one day. Thank you very much!

Sabaan is beautifully located. The resort is okay, but the rooms are disturbingly dirty. The bathrooms have never been washed with a detergent, so the toilet bowls are brown, the bath tub has a brown ring, the shower curtains feels thick from dirt and the walls are dusty. All the cupboard smell, especially the kitchen, which has cockroaches and spiders. The dishes were rinsed and not washed with soap, so you can still see crusty dirt. The beddings made us sick because it smelled. I could go on and on, it’s fair to say their cleaning staff is not managed and management seems unmotivated.

The resort is very quiet, the apartment was clean and tidy. It's all you need for a short weekend break from the city's noise. My husband and I really enjoyed it.

As a child we also holidayed at Sabaan (25 years ago) and the place is still the same! The swimming pool with the famous log that many children played on gave my child just as much joy! Sabaan Holiday Resort is a nice place. Very quiet, beautiful views. The staff is very friendly but the place need upgrading. The furniture is so old and the bathrooms are not so nice. Something should be done on that gravel road to the resort because it is not so nice to drive on that road especially during rainy days. The other good thing is that even though the furniture is old it was very clean. The surrounding is also very attractive.
We booked three sleeping units as a family group at Sabaan Holiday Resort. We were very well received and immediately felt at home. The units are very neat and well equipped for a longer holiday and some of the group who were together also felt that it was a shame we could only stay there one night. Will definitely visit there again.

If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to the Kruger National Park and the beautiful surroundings, I would recommend Sabaan without reservation. All that travelers in regular sedans may vote against is the approximately 2 km dirt road to the resort. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and you soon feel at home. The residential units are not luxurious, but as they put it themselves, homely, spacious, comfortable and clean.
Sabaan was a very good experience. Beautiful grounds, well maintained. Units are well equipped. Beds are excellent and were recently upgraded. The rest of the unit's equipment is older, but all in good working order. The dirt road is a challenge but quite passable. However, think it would be difficult if it rained. The staff were very helpful regarding the laundry. I would definitely recommend a "Laundromat" which would be an excellent addition.

We stayed in a chalet for 4 for 3 nights. Spacious enough and clean. We had privacy and the braai was always cleaned. The ladies at reception were always very helpful and friendly. Beautiful view.

Sabaan offers convenient accommodation and a getaway for holidaymakers. It is not luxurious but pleasant. Very affordable. The resorts facilities (swimming pool, play room, trampoline) make a difference and worth while. The resort needs some renovations. There are no cleaning services. The road from the main road needs attention. It is inaccessible after 2 days of rain. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Will recommend it.

I wish we knew about Sabaan before! It was a wonderful experience! Helpful and friendly is the motto of Sabaan, and the prices are pocket-friendly. There is so much to do at nearby places, the resort provides adequate and safe relaxation for the children if the adults just want to rest by the pool. One advantage that surprised me is the 24/7 paramedics on standby, the security allows one to get a proper night's rest. Anyone considering using Sabaan is welcome to visit it, regrets will not set in! Thank you very much again for a lazy visit, see you again soon.

Sabaan is an oasis and offers fantastic accommodation at a reasonable price. It's a lovely "nice visit" holiday spot and central to many attractions in the picturesque Lowveld of Mpumalanga. Service delivery is great and the staff are people who each go the extra mile and go out of their way to do much more than just their job. I would recommend that WIFI be investigated though... I would recommend Sabaan to anyone of any age anytime. Value for money!
Very nice and peaceful destination, with excellent tourist attractions not too far away. Too much to see and too little time!
We were able to rest wonderfully and enjoy the nature and calm away from the city. Sabaan is a very pleasant place to come and relax away from the city. It offers a lot for the family. It is also close enough to the Kruger National Park for a great day trip. So can Graskop etc. be visited.

We had a great time until late in the evening. The pool water was a bit cold, otherwise it was very nice to hang out there. It's not too far from everything you want to see.
It's cramped, with too many beds everywhere, and the kitchen and bedroom are simply in one. A bit expensive for what you get compared to Marlothpark where you stay against the wildlife park in a lodge with a swimming pool, air conditioning, TV with DStv and a decent stove.
Felt rested even after a short break here.

Elmarie was the epitome of helpfulness and friendliness. The lighting in the cottage was low so struggled with reading etc. Was warned about the farm road, but if a Hyundai i10 can make it in the wet, so can anybody else!! It is not so bad as some make it out to be. Will definitely visit again and I hope the weather will be better.

Sabaan Holiday Resort was very helpful in moving our accommodation to a larger unit. The staff were very helpful with the booking. The units are neatly equipped with all the necessities that one can use. The rooms are nice and spacious and there is enough bedding to see even the cold nights through. We really enjoyed our stay at Sabaan and would definitely recommend it to travelers who don't just want to spend a night, but also want to stay longer than a weekend.

We cannot fault the Chalets. It was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The only overriding factor is the road leading to the resort. It is a gravel/sand/mud road. Unfortunately for us it was during the worst spell of rain in 2014 that we had to travel on this bad road. I suggest if you are going to visit Sabaan you first phone to find out about the roads condition.

Although we don"t have young children, I can see that this would be a great place for a young family to spend a few days.

Awesome experience, wonderful customer service, very patient. We were lost and the receptionist guided us until we reached our destination; she waited till we arrived at 21:00. She went out of her way to make our stay and our children's stay a wonderful experience. It is a great place for the kids with lots and lots of activities to be done. It is situated in a very peaceful and tranquil place. I would recommend Sabaan holiday resort anytime. Their customer service was so refreshing. Thank you Sabaan Holiday resorts. Thumbs up!

Nice area, cute layout of the houses. Staff Friendly and Helpful. Had a great rest. Only one small problem, which I think can be sorted out, the "geyser" in bathroom makes a lot of noise when water is tapped.
We enjoyed it a lot. The staff were very friendly, and the cabin was very clean. We will make use of Sabaan in future. Thank you for helping us at such sort notice, and answering the phone @ 01:00 am to give us directions.
The place is beautifully located, but I had a small challenge, as I drive a small car, in reaching them. Once there however, the atmosphere was very good to unwind and relax in.
We enjoyed our stay very much, and received a wonderful welcome, and good service during our stay.

Although we can accommodate up to 130 people in 22 chalets it does not compromise the peacefulness of the resort, nor the tranquility of the exceptional views over the Sabie Valley and the plantations.
Facilities at the resort include excellent security, braai facilities, and 1 parking at each individual chalet, a cold water swimming pool, tennis, fingerboard, etc. Our new venue (120 pax), and the Lapa (60 pax), is particularly useful for weddings, family reunions, matric farewells, church and school groups.
Nearby activities include inter alia white river rafting, geckoing, quad bike routes, horse riding, game viewing, cycling, fishing, bird watching, and mountain biking, hiking, Graskop glass lift, the big swing, Zipline, hanging bridge, etc.
