Outstanding! Good location.
Sabie River Bush Lodge is a little piece of heaven where one can just sit back, and relax while listening to the soothing sound of the hippos and watching them play. Then you also have the surprise of an elephant of two passing by. The staff at Sabie River Bush Lodge went the extra mile and even surprised us with a car wash the next morning. Really great value for money.
One of the most underrated places. Should be a 5 star.
Fabulous gem tucked away but very convenient to the Paul Kruger Gate to Kruger Park. Our river view chalet was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed and lovely en suite bathroom. Lovely views out to the river from the pool deck, which must be fabulous in the summer months. Highly recommend this lodge. The dinner was wholesome and served piping hot, which is a plus. They even bake their own bread.
Super convenient and stunning location along the Sabie river. Self-catering facilities were great and bed was amazingly comfortable, also appreciated the mosquito net. Our bathroom flooded after we both showered and it was not drained for use for later that evening or the next morning by the time we checked out at 10 am so we had to use the breakfast area's communal bathroom to brush our teeth etc. which wasn't ideal. Faster response times there would be the only suggested improvement, so value for money and customer service are rated lower than 5 stars this time around.

We went to have a good rest at Sabie River Bush Lodge for 5 days. We stayed in the luxury Tent no 1. It was a feast with your own private bathroom and kitchen. Nice view from the porch - enjoyed the pool a lot too. We would love to go there again in the future for sure. From there we entered the Kruger National Park. The staff is friendly and washed our car every day.
The manatees on the front porch is an amazing experience.

Very nice lodge with good food and nice and well-equipped accommodation. There were manatees in the river right in front of the lodge. Three of the big five seen from our porch. The game drives were very good and we all really enjoyed them.
The atmosphere is very pleasant.
Expect the best staff service we have ever received! We enjoyed the luxury tent with its own bathroom and delicious kitchenette, as well as the view from the deck with a nice boma fire. The manager personally came to show us what the other accommodation facilities look like, and I can definitely recommend it. The meal was not that good, but the additional services such as washing the car were excellent. Will come again, and stay longer.

We were so surprised with the tent accommodation. Each tent has its own kitchen and massive bathroom just behind the tents. Hippos were right in front of the deck all week. Only negative aspect is the surrounding noise from Shebeens or hangouts.
Sabie River Bush Lodge is conveniently located near the Kruger and Pambheni gates of the Kruger National Park. The accommodation is safe, tidy, food is delicious and the customer service was out of the books. The lodge even washed our car every day after our day's drive in the game park. The view on the deck is breathtaking with visitors from hippos and elephants every day. We would be happy to recommend Sabie River Bush Lodge.

Music outside lodge from local residents disturbing. Traffic on the national road was also disturbing. Tent where we stayed too close to other tent, so privacy a problem.

This lodge is absolutely beautiful, exquisitely manicured gardens, friendliest/helpful staff, accommodation great - including the little touches of chocolates on pillow. Food was spot on with a really delicious breakfast. I cannot believe what value for money this is, with the perfect location, overlooking the Sabie river, close to Kruger. Well done to Candice and rest for making it truly affordable for South Africans and for what you get. Unbelievable!

I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it was. How clean the accommodation was and how friendly the staff was. I absolutely loved it there.
The only downside is that it is basically located against the main road and surrounding trust area, which drowns out the nature and forest sounds a bit. But otherwise in the lodge area, everything was of excellent high quality. I will definitely go there again.

Our stay was pleasant. The staff is very friendly and professional. General cleanliness is very good. I would like to single out Patrick. I forgot my wedding ring on the bedside table on Wednesday morning. I only realized it after we had already left. My wife called the Lodge and informed Patrick of the loss. He later called us back and told us that the ring had been found and that he would hand it over to the person taking over from him. We went there on Saturday and my ring was neatly stored. It speaks of integrity ─ something that is very rare these days. Next time we'll bring the kids.

A wonderful place to just relax where meals are included and we could just relax with friendly staff who are ready to serve us and make sure everything is in place. The hippo hole can keep you busy all day with the activities of the hippos.

Sabie River Bush Lodge is located in an area where other lodges charge much more money for - in my opinion the same (Service, food and accommodation). We recommend Sabie River Bush Lodge anytime.
The Lodge is conveniently close to the Kruger Park. There’s various options of accommodation available. We stayed in the family log cabin which was so comfortable & luxurious. Beautiful white linen. We had air conditioning in every room. The bathroom is stunning with twin basins. Our view was probably the most surprising looking into the Sabie River on the Kruger side. We saw Hippo everyday sitting outside and heard them right by the fence at night. Only downside is that the lodge is based on a busy road and you can hear the traffic and music from a nearby tavern.
I would definitely recommend anyone to make use of this accommodation, the staff are friendly, helpful and the food is of excellent quality. The atmosphere is peaceful and the facilities are neat and clean and offer you the opportunity to relax and enjoy nature. We were even lucky enough to see a herd of Elephants while enjoying a delicious early morning breakfast on the deck. We also booked a night game drive and it was a great adventure to be able to drive at night in the Kruger game park with a guide. Our car was also beautifully washed every day and during our stay we were able to start each day with a clean adventure. The resort is also conveniently located close enough to the wildlife park and within about 20 minutes you can reach the Kruger gate. Thank you again for the incredibly nice stay, it was truly a highlight to be able to conclude our honeymoon with you.

We lived in a luxury forest tent and stayed for three nights. The self-catering facilities are sufficient and very nice and private with even a kettle braai at our disposal - unfortunately without wood or that we were aware of it and did not make provision for it. We would have preferred a combination of an en-suite tent with self-catering facilities. Prospective visitors are advised to follow the N40 from White River to Hazyview and not the R538 which winds through the densely populated residential area with many speed bumps.
It was truly an unforgettable experience! The meals were tasty and the staff are all friendly. Truly a place where you can just go and relax.

Best reception yet with Andries and Welcome. Hull made us feel very welcome. The tents where we slept are a bit too close to each other so it's not really private. The lodge was set out as such but would have preferred to use one of the other accommodation options for more privacy. The showers definitely need a partition. Als is wet after showering and that makes it really unpleasant. We chose self-catering but one evening wanted to order the main course (chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce) which was part of the full menu in the restaurant. We talked to Edwill and he said it would be possible to adjust the price because we didn't want the full three-course meal. However, when the food arrived, it was placed in two side plates with about 3 to 4 sliced mushrooms each. I really couldn't believe what I was seeing. I don't know how people live who don't self-catering, but I'm glad it wasn't me, because I wouldn't want to see how the portions were for these guests. First impressions last. I myself have been in the restaurant industry for nine years and know that value for money, especially on food, is not to be underestimated. You have such a beautiful lodge. Don't let food bring about your downfall. Thank you and greetings!

Sabie River Bush Lodge was the ideal destination for our visit to the Kruger National Park. The Kruger and Phabeni gates are easily reachable to gain early access to the Kruger National Park. The tent was furnished with the necessary items and the separate kitchen was a bonus. We enjoyed dinner both nights. Money well spent, deliciously prepared and a must to enjoy. The butternut soup was delicious. We also enjoyed our first swim for the summer with the peacefulness of the river and the Kruger National Park to make the experience even better. The hospitality, helpfulness and service was striking. And the clean car every morning a big bonus. Thank you very much for your part in making our stay unforgettable. Blessings!
After a week in Kruger National Park, Sabie River Bush Lodge was just the amount of luxury we needed. Excellent customer service - they even washed our truck for us! Bar and restaurant staff were very professional. I would have preferred more choice of local dishes on the menu though. Elephants across the river in Kruger National Park made our stay complete!

We were there for 3 nights and it was very, very nice, I stayed in the Lux River Front Tent. We had Hippos every morning that woke us up at around 8am. It was great!
Wonderfully relaxed stay and close to Kruger gate. Beautiful surroundings. No fridge and TV in the stay. Well WiFi. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Nice place to unwind after a day of wildlife tracking by the swimming pool.

The staff are fantastic and always friendly and helpful. Everything is really very clean. We slept in the tents and it was deliciously warm, even though it was freezing outside. The lighting in the tents is just a little weak. Furthermore, it would be nice if there was a mirror in the tents. There is a calm and intimate atmosphere here which is special - even the food tastes like home cooking. All and all it was a great experience!

Overall experience was average, friendly helpful staff, rooms small and stuffy - and needs aircon, so environmentally not friendly. One light bulb was blown so no pre-occupancy checks done I assume. Lodge feels secure and safe. Food was good.
The setting by the river was excellent with the occasional sightings of wild game. On the whole a really decent place to go for a short stay, with the Kruger Park being only 15 minutes away. My only complaint is the size of the allocated shower room. Very difficult for larger people to move around in.
We had a pleasant stay. The Lodge was very convenient for a 1-night stay prior to entering Kruger Park. Enjoyed the dinner overlooking the Sabie River. Packed breakfast was also very nice. Will recommend!

Enjoyed a lot. Perfect if just looking for average affordable accommodation. Food is ok, without being open-minded about it. Everything very neat. The staff fantastic. They are incredibly friendly. We had a great stay and would recommend it anytime for affordable, comfortable, clean accommodation near the Wildtuin. It cannot be compared to a 5 star lodge. Therefore for what they are and offer, I would recommend them to anyone.
