It was very nice to have a warm bed in that weather. I liked the experience the children got. No TV, no warm water (just a gas warmer) they struggled to get it right but they did win, I loved it. The river in front was so peaceful. We really did enjoy it and the staff are really friendly. I will visit again definitely.
Very pleasant stay with helpful staff and 24/7 security. Clean ablutions and communal kitchen area.
It was nice. And the tranquility was overwhelming.
Very nice and peaceful, no worries.
An absolute gem. I will keep returning!
Loved the place. Will see us again to visit Rassie (the dog). It was nice and peaceful stay. Thank you.
Very nice place for a quick sleepover.
Had a great time. Friendly people. Brought us wood later when power was out for Boma fire.
It was very cold but they upgraded us to log house which was also cold but much better for us. People friendly and helpful.
We had a pleasant stay with great assistance from the owners.
We really enjoyed the place to stay and the location is perfect in the middle of all the attractions.
Very comfortable and clean. Was very grateful for the electric blankets. It was very cold the night we slept over. The ablutions are clean and tidy. Would stay again anytime.
Breed the puppy is a highlight. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
The campsite was so neat. We really enjoyed the time. Just a pity about the pit lanes which are slightly neglected.
We had a very nice stay. The ablution facilities are very clean and tidy.
Had a great time. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Accommodation was neat, and people friendly at reception. We had no hot water for 2 days, and when it comes through, it's only for short stretches. Braais was also not cleaned.
The stay was fantastic.
The affordable accommodation of Sabie River Camp makes it possible to visit all the attractions of Pelgrimsrus, Graskop, KNP, Waterfalls etc. in a few days. to visit
We had a great time staying there. Ablution facilities 5 star. Tent houses very nice, neat and clean. Staff very friendly.
Enjoyed it very much.
It was definitely a weekend away for the books, the place to stay is top quality and you definitely can't complain about the service. The ablution facilities are clean and tidy. And the area around the cottages is cleaned every day.
Clean ablutions and overall very neat.
Friendly welcome by owner. Security is reassuring and patrolled throughout the night. Tents and ablution beautiful and clean.
Camp site is neat and we felt safe.
Only stayed 2 nights.
Booked five nights. Was only able to swim in the heated pool 2 nights as it was having issues. No addition or credit given for the inconvenience. Would still recommend them as it is a lovely, peaceful environment to relax.
There is plenty to do in the area.
Could we leave our things safely and come back.
The resort is beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful.
Clean, tidy place. Will stay there again.
Very good customer service, people are friendly.
Die eienaar en mense wat daar werk was absoluut uitstekend en baie vriendelik. Was 'n baie lekker kuier.
My children and us love the place. Bar/restaurant facility was just closed down.
Can you just please cleaning trash cans at camp regularly. Thanks for wood.
We had a wonderful stay and visited with the river in the background.
Nice place to stay. Been there too.
The en-suite tent was beautiful, clean, comfortable and they even went so far as putting up lights for when there's loadshedding and some additional extras not mentioned on the website. Downside - they were hosting a group of roadtrippers who were super inconsiderate and made noise throughout the night. It felt like sleeping in a tavern or nightclub and management could not handle the crowd which was not in line with their rules which are written in big and bold in the entrance that music and noise are a definite NO.
Thank you to the owner, Raymond for being so helpful and friendly. The facilities are very clean and conveniently placed. Plenty of hot water for showers and dishes.
Very neat establishment with helpful staff. Will visit them again.
Very clean, safe and tidy. Ablution blocks were clean, kitchen area was clean.
Very safe. No person can enter without a wristband. Room and bathroom were nice and big.
Raymond and his family very hospitable and helpful. Love the dogs that come to visit.
Would recommend anytime for groups or families with younger and older kids.
Night watch was excellent. Assume it was relief person at reception, not very good. Night watch deserves better I think.
Had a great time with family.
The unit was not available when we wanted to check in after 14:00. We returned after 5pm and the unit was still not ready. The kitchen area was reasonable, but there is a huge infestation of ants. Food preparation is hard when you can't put anything down. The bathroom definitely needs a proper cleaning. It was full of cobwebs and the containers where products can be placed were really dirty, they need to be scrubbed. The mat in front of the toilet is creepy. The toilet floor gets wet when it rains. We tried to keep the bathroom clean ourselves, but the steps make it difficult to mop and sweep. I doubt anything is sanitized. Our unit No. 7's kitchen was impractically laid out. It looks different from the pictures. No music allowed at the tents (no problem with that), but there was rock hard music at the bar and pools playing until after 12 o'clock on the Saturday night.
The site is well maintained. The "lapa" area is dilapidated - perhaps in disuse. Please sit down stronger bulbs in the units - the light is really dim. No "loadshedding" generator. There is room for improvement - use the comments and let Sabie River Camp reach its full potential.
The place is by the river. But tents leak when it rains. And kitchen is outside and bugs in cupboards.
Virtually never had power, 1st morning already struggled with a broken geyser. No microwave to heat up food. 2 closets, but 6 people can sleep there. Shower tiles are completely inappropriate, dangerously slippery when wet. No mat to stand on after showering. No windows that can open for fresh air or light. Unfortunately, we will not be going back to Sabie River Camp again. We did sleep well at night, but we had to buy so many extra things ourselves. If they just indicated it on their FB or said in an email that you have to bring everything yourself, things would have been so much easier. We were offered a free weekend, but we live 1000 km away, it's not worth it to us. Raymond did say that he will refund us an amount, we are still waiting for it and how much, we don't know either.
Ablution block was not up to scratch. I was not happy using the bathrooms, dark, dingy and not cleaned regularly.
We will not stay there again, think the management is very bad. The management lacks attention. The sink area had no hot water for dishes and had to walk for another sink. Bathrooms did not have hot water.
The location of the place is very close to informal settlement as well as the road, so was awake all night from the noise. The place also falls apart and wiring is held together with insolation tape. Lights go on and off when wind blows. Grill is rusted through and dirty. Tables and chairs were dirty and we had to ask someone to come clean. Struggling with hot water and workers seemed very annoyed when we asked for help. Had to go and drag another braai myself. Putt-putt courses lack attention and sticks kids play with are dirty and sticky. Gas stove also did not work and is terribly dirty. Would not recommend the place at all and will not be back again.
Baie gasvry en netjies.
The ablution blocks were always clean and tidy. Garbage cans and grills were cleaned daily. The owner and his family are lovely, friendly, helpful people. Staff are always ready to help where needed. Our two-week visit with the caravan was really very nice. There are many beautiful sights in the area.
Nice clean and comfortable stay.
We had such a nice stay here. It was a bit cold, but luckily the tent house's beds had electric blankets on them. The staff were friendly and the owner also came to introduce himself and had a nice chat. Will definitely stay here again!
We had a good time with Raymond and his team. Very clean and neat place. Ablutions are spacious and clean. Quiet and peaceful next to the river. Raymond goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and makes a point of it as the owner to visit each and every guest. Thank you for your hospitality. See you soon.
Good welcoming with friendly staff who go beyond their job description. Beautiful stay. Thanks.
Friendly, tidy, well located, bedding very clean.
The rest was very nice, we didn't want to go home. Kitchen and ablution blocks are nice and clean and friendly help.
Neat, calm. Management very friendly. Hot pool is nice and the children's playground is great.
Wonderful place. Peaceful.
Good value and clean.
Reception was very friendly. Ambulance facilities were neat and clean at all times. Sleeping facilities were neat and sufficient.
Nice and safe playground for children.
Unfortunately, we had a little trouble finding restaurants in Graskop and Dabie with decent playgrounds for children. We decided to stay in a tent and use restaurants for meals but it was a disappointment, otherwise we had a very nice stay.
Power in our unit was a problem, and music until after midnight, otherwise everything was fine.
Small hot and cold pool, nice lawns for camping, pit-pit and small shop with wood. Ablutions beautifully clean. Only downside is there's a bar, so drinkers keep campers up late at night, and pets are allowed, so dogs were allowed everywhere on site. Enjoyable weekend.
Friendly staff who were very helpful. Owner personally went around and struck up a conversation and offered help. Ample wood provided for braai as well as picnic fires. Accommodation was pleasant, tidy, affordable - we lacked nothing. Located close to the town and surrounding attractions.
Love the tent house with its own neat shower. The following is what I think needs attention. Bedding and kitchenware and a microwave! The gas stove can also be replaced. Leaky taps.
Owner and workers were friendly and helpful.
I just think the unit needs some upgrading. I know water and electricity are out of the customer's control, but it would have been nice if there were candles or lights when the power went out and maybe extra water when we didn't have water. Had trouble with our geyser. Other units were neat and nice and spacious.
The owner was very friendly, he had a nice chat. It had been a nice relaxing weekend.
I got the impression that the accommodation is purely a commercial transaction and definitely lacks a sense of hospitality and attention to detail.
Everything is neat and clean, people friendly. It's just noisy on the road.
The photo in this advert is very outdated. There's no dam and the river is almost non-existent. The camp is about 500m away from an informal settlement leaving you feeling very unsafe. With no dam and river there's not much to do. The camp is right outside of town so there's no peace and quiet. The noise level was insane. We hardly slept the first night. We left the camp the next day booking in somewhere else.
Quiet place to rest, needs some attention upgrading. Hot water pool not hot at all and dirty. Putt-putt course also needs attention, wood for sale at office is wet.
Electricity and network is a issue.
Our camping experience at Sabie River Camp was exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable! The staff did everything to keep the campers happy and relaxed. The campsite, swimming pool and ablution facilities are top notch. Thank you for welcoming our puppies and enjoying them too! We would recommend it anytime to anyone considering the option.
They gave good customer service. The place was cleaned the next day. WiFi reception excellent. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic and hot water worked. The place is neat and clean.
What an awesome place. Everything is perfect and awesome place.
Struggled with hot water, but owner sorted it out quickly. Clean and neat. Staff were also very helpful and friendly.
Fun for adults and kids. Close to stores if needed. So relaxing.
Great place to take in the entire region.
Very cute and friendly welcome and very tidy. Nice environment. Would recommend for sure!
Very nice and different. River, green grass. Lots of trees. Secure and pet friendly which is great. Friendly owner and staff. Very helpful. The ablutions could be a little bit neater. Unfortunately there is a noisy township nearby (music till late at night).
It was lovely. Would stay here again.
The place is neat and clean and is impressed with the neat ablution blocks. Friendly people and very helpful.
Stunning campsite. Clean and very nicely maintained. Owner lives on site and is involved with his place on a daily basis. Ablution blocks are very modern and are even cleaned on a Sunday afternoon. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You will see me again for sure!
See stars.
I enjoyed my stay I can recommend to anyone who wants to go for a camp holiday
100% meets all the requirements for what my friends and I need to zip around the area.
Ablutions very nice and clean!
We felt at home and made new friends.
I will never ever go to Sabie River Camp ever again. The showers are either too hot or too cold - or there is no water. False advertisement - There is no heated rock pool at Sabie River Camp.
It was very relaxing and nice. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very safe, peaceful family camp with good hospitality.
An amazing place to relax.

In the past few years, I've been camping alone or together friends a couple of times, or have used their tents and I have never been disappointed. The maintenance has always been good and the facilities are always clean. My friends and I usually play in the area with our motorcycles once or twice a year and the sites are perfect for exploring the area. You won't easily find the location and better value for your money. If the service is so happy I will certainly be back.
It was awesome. The location was easy to reach, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Volpunte in alle opsigte!
Impeccably clean, quite, friendly staff, facilities of a higher standard. Myself and my two teenage kids were very impressed by this camp site, certainly we will be returning again.
We camped for 2 nights in June school holidays. Received great service owner came around every day to hear if we were still satisfied and happy. Last night they came to drop off 2 wheelbarrow loads of wooden blocks for us to help against the cold. Bathrooms were clean and always hot water. They even came to open the pool for children when children wanted to go swimming in the afternoon.
Als had been very nice except was quite disappointed because on Sabi River Camp it is said that there is a restaurant on the premises and there is only a bar with a minimal selection of drinks. It is also said in advance that one can fish on the premises but one cannot.
Very clean, very neat and was a nice getaway. A place one has to stop at.
Very clean neat enjoyed it a lot. Very friendly people will definitely go again.
Very friendly staff and close to all major attractions.
It is always a pleasure to visit Sabie River Camp. The only problem is that there is a settlement nearby, and the music played all Saturday night and Sunday night. There's no way you're going to get a good night's rest. Just be prepared for little sleep on weekends and holidays.
Hands on management and service.
Very clean and even though the camp was full, toilets and common areas were kept very clean.
We had a great week and can recommend friends.
We had a amazing time at Sabie River Camp, we camped for 7 days and the camp kitchen was well equipped with a fridge, kettle and stove. The communal bathrooms were always clean and fresh, the hot water was a bit tricky but besides that I cannot complain.
Except for the discotheque across the road that was noisy until late at night, our stay was pleasant. Would recommend it any time. The people are very well mannered and hospitable.
The resort is very well run and ablutions and grounds are spotless. Very friendly staff and owner. The nice wood fire is a good bonus in the evenings. Would have appreciated it if there was a small shop on site, but Sabie is very close.
Pleasant and friendly reception. Neat accommodation. Very cold, but electric blanket available. Needs maintenance here and there like holes in bathroom wall.
See stars.
It was really a very nice place, but I suspect it was the location's music that played rock hard every night until the next morning. Sabie's lines are not music, but that music was so loud it sounded like a party in our tent.
Smoordronk en vloekende bure is nie aangespreek met lawaai na middernag nie. Ablusie was baie netjies, skoon en warm.
Tent was neat. Cold showers two mornings one after another - not pleasant as it rained and was cold. A hot shower would have been very pleasant. After being reported to the office, the comment was "This is camping." I don't think so: if I wanted to shower cold, I would have chosen a bush camp with no facilities, not one that I paid a lot for the comfort of hot water in the bathroom.
Clean, tidy and very cute.
It was absolutely worth it. It's neat and clean and food for your soul. Fresh air and Mother Nature made me experience an inner calm. Weekend was amazing. Thank you very much.
Sabie River Camp is beautiful. Everyone there loves to help. Very clean and the kids enjoyed the open spaces.
Many thanks Chris at Sabie River Camp for the good show around and bringing wood. It is a very nice camping spot and your tent houses are something we will go back for again.
The hospitality from the people there was top notch, we spent most of our time in your swimming pool and enjoyed a braai as it should be. It was easy to go to town if we needed something because it is not far away. The kitchen and the facilities wasn't far from the tent we stayed in. I want to say the tent concept is a very good idea and it is very neat.

Beautiful environment, safe and great customer service. Will visit Sabie River Camp again for sure!
A lovely break in the peaceful surroundings next to the Sabie River. Fully equipped tent house with spotless luxury bedding. Friendly staff and management.
The tent was nice and tidy. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and beautiful. We enjoyed it very much.
It was lovely and bathrooms cleaned regularly. Water pressure in showers and baths is okay as long as everyone doesn't want to shower and bathe at the same time. There was "load shedding" but gas made it possible to have hot water all the time. We love the kitchens that can be used by everyone.
It was wonderful to be so close to nature again and to be able to see God's beauty again. It is peaceful and helps forget about everything. Would recommend anyone to stay there.
We had a wonderful time. Safe. secure and comfortable beds.

The booking was almost immediate. Reception was very friendly and helpful. The tents are very clean, comfortable and a very pleasant experience. It was cold and rainy, but we slept wonderfully warm. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a camping experience yet comfort.
We had a wonderful time.

A cost effective, clean establishment. The camp sites are equipped with a power box and tap. The tented chalets are equipped with a small kitchen, seating area, mini fridge and braai. They have a pool, deck, kiddies pool, clean ablution blocks, mini putt putt (bit run down) and a river which can be used for some light tubing. Would prefer a small shop/canteen or restaurant. All and all a great place to stay.
We had a nice stay in a very neat, well-equipped tent house. We would have liked a microwave there. We struggled with the hot water, which is then freezing cold and then boiling hot in the shower. The sink is also very small. We were in 9 Jaco, unfortunately at the recreation area and swimming pool, which you did not inform us about. It was very noisy on Saturday night. Otherwise, the site is very clean and tidy and we would love to stay there again if we are in that area.
Would recommend for travelers. Friendly service.
In the men's shower, only one shower has hot water most of the time. Storage space in shower limited, shelf on wall could have been a bit longer. Very nice camping. Will definitely go again.
See rating.
Dit was baie lekker. Alles was skoon en baie netjies, sal regtig aanbeveel vir 'n wegbreek. Baie vir almal om te doen maar ook vreeslik rustig!
We stayed here in a lovely place, although the facilities were very basic.
Very nice overnight stay for 1 night. Electric blankets were a winner! Beds are comfortable and sleeps six, tent very well equipped and comfortable. Sleep four tent has no crockery or cutlery at all, and it was a hassle. The shared kitchen, including fridge, is also not ideal in the four bedroom unit, but luckily we also had the six bedroom which has a small fridge and crockery.
The tents are very neat and the service is friendly.
Very quite place next to the river. Nice spot for backpackers as well.
Good value for money, friendly help, beautifully green and tranquil.
We stayed at Sabie River Camp for 4 nights. The tents are very close together, there is not really any privacy. There are no proper rules regarding rest disturbance. Was unpleasant some nights. The bathrooms are very clean and tidy. The kitchen facilities are acceptable.
Noisy till early in the morning. Can't sleep at all.
Not much to do for children. No shop for bread and milk. Facilities are in need of an upgrading, but is clean.
I would recommend Sabie River Camp to anyone.
Will recommend to any of my friends.
The facility was awesome and my son enjoyed every minute of the the pools with his new friends. The staff were all friendly and the family who runs the bar were awesome. They made us feel part of the family too. Awesome! The people in Sabie are great!
Had a great time away with the family. Go this far every year.
The tents are thin, so you can hear other people especially noisy children.
It was very special, would like to go back again anytime. The tranquility is WOW and cannot be described, they have to go there themselves to find out.
Value for money! Neat, friendly, helpful staff with the calming sounds of the Sabie River on your front porch.
Very nice place to stay and nice people.
Weekend was excellent, enjoyed it very much.
We really enjoyed our time.Thank you very much.
We enjoyed it again. And will go again next year.
Felt at home. Love the peace. Awesome.
We really enjoyed Sabie River Camp, the site is well maintained and the ablution blocks are beautiful, very clean. It is also very safe for the children to play and swim.
Peaceful and safe. Enjoyed our short time there. Location is very good.
The tented camps were very neat and clean and the ablution blocks were the neatest and cleanest I've experienced in a long time. Will definitely make use of them again.
The friendliness of the staff was noticeable. We were impressed with the neatness of the premises and especially the ablution blocks. Will definitely recommend this resort.
We enjoyed our stay. It was quite pleasant. Bathrooms nice and clean, kitchen facilities clean and tidy. Owner is very friendly.
Nice, convenient and very neat accommodation. Will definitely come again.
Third time around making use of this facility. Always clean and safe to stay. Friendly staff. Nice located next to the Sabie river.
Rustig, wonderlike natuurskoon, skoon, netjies, flinke diens, so baie dinge om te doen. 'n Wonderlike wegbreek vanuit stadsgewoel.
The stay was very nice, very clean, all the staff friendly, helpful, even if they were under pressure with the workload that Sabie has, will go again and will recommend the place to everyone. Thank you very much for all your efforts, you are great!
Entrance from road to resort is really bad, needs attention. Hope they can look into it.
We were at the Sabi River Camp for the tube race. It's clean and good value for money!
Wish we could stay longer.
Was lovely to be down in the area again have been going back there for the last 33 years.
The host of Sabi River Camp drove around the camp in the late afternoons to enquire if all is still well with us and if there is anything he can help us with. We felt so comfortable and safe there too. The ablution blocks were kept clean at all times. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so relaxing.
It's a neat campsite with good facilities. We had a great time with friendly staff at the pool and bar. We will definitely go there again.
Relaxed, it was neat, clean and good value.
Thank you very much Sabie River Camp for a wonderful visit! You tried your best to make the cold warmer.
Access road needs attention. Office lady was very helpful. Even though we were 3 hours early we were allowed to check in since the tent was already clean and tidy. Owner paid us a visit to make sure everything was in order. We weren't aware of the fact that there was no cutlery which caught us off guard. Informal settlement close by - loud music bothered us, especially the first night. Loose items at the bar area, looked untidy. Premises neat and well-maintained. We had a good time overall.
Accommodation was very neat and clean, for that we definitely give them a gold star! We were just unhappy and disappointed that we were not informed in advance that the hot rock pool was out of order, we chose Sabie River Camp for the hot pool because our 4 year old son is not too keen on a cold pool and much prefer a warm pool instead. We were not even informed about it on arrival, we later went to ask why the hot pool was so cold and the caretaker said it would be repaired by the next day. The next day it was said that they had to find a part in Nelspruit so the pool would then be ready the day after. Two days later, pool was still not operational. Unfortunately, I have to mention: If we were informed about it ahead of time, we would have preferred to go to another place. The photos on the website feel to me like years old photos because it created an expectation that led to a disappointment. The cold pool in photos is an infinity pool which in reality is not one anymore. The deck by the pool needs attention, the lounge chairs on the deck need even more urgent attention, the peeled chairs make you a little scared to lie on them and when you get up you're going to be covered in paint chips. Staff confirmed that they were aware of the problem with the power, when it rains the power trips in some tents and then it doesn't come back on, we had a fridge off for almost more than a day but we nowhere noticed that this problem is being worked on. Our stay was really pleasant, even if there are a few things that definitely need to be worked on, it's quiet, the staff is friendly and the place is centrally located for attractions.
Neat ablutions and the children really enjoyed the lawns and animals.
Ons het orraait gebly. Bietjie gesukkel met die geyser en warm water en ek sal aanbeveel dat hulle na die eetgerei kyk, daar was net 2 groot potte en die vurke se tande was omtrent elkeen in sy eie rigting.
We had a lovely stay. The electric blanket is lovely to have for the cold evenings. They clean the tent every day and the people are very friendly. It's really a beautiful area.
We could have easily upgraded our accommodation to enjoy an en-suite bathroom. The weather also played a part, as it would have been very uncomfortable if it had to be very hot, as there was no provision for a fan, but electric blankets on some of the beds. Owner may seriously consider purchasing a generator as loadshedding occurs on a regular basis.
Comfortable bed and spacious deck in front of the tent. The mat in the tent needs some attention. Little space to put 4 people's stuff, so for us ladies it was a bit crowded. Comfortable with the power point in the tent. Ablution block super neat but hot water and water pressure was definitely a problem. Would go there again.
The facilities are good and value for money. Campsites close to each other you hear every conversation when people socialize! People are supposed to only play music until 22:00 but no one follows the rules and there is no one to make sure that the rules are maintained. We left a day early and they didn't even care or asked us why!
It was worth it and will refer family, friends and acquaintances there anytime. Keep up the good work Sabie River Camp staff and management.
Must stay for longer, very nice.
The place is really recommendable. It is very neat, clean and the staff are friendly. It was very pleasant.
We had a great stay, and the camping was lekker. The kitchen shorts nothing. Everything in the camp is clean and it's safe. The pool is also nice and clean.
Thanks, Sabie River Camp. I can't say much about the camp itself seeing as we arrived at 10:00 in the evening and departed at 6:00 the following morning. But the electrical blankets were lovely since it was so cold and we were freezing. The bathrooms just need more hot water.
Pleasant experience. Good location.
Peaceful accommodation with friendly staff.
During the winter you get wonderful electric blankets. And there is a heated pool. Everything else was also very good. The bathroom and kitchen are well equipped.
We were upgraded to a better unit because an electric blanket did not work. During the icy cold night I was grateful to have a warm bed. We were running late with breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed us to finish our breakfast, even if it was past departure time.
Very good and friendly staff.
Without management being obtrusive I could admire the effort being put in behind the scenes.
We loved it there, quiet, safe and a real bushveld feel.
Nice stay and very beautiful with a clean ablution block. A shop with the basics could be considered. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot.
We popped in at the tourism office and the lady assisted us with a map of the area and also recommended a few places to go. The Mac Mac Falls were stunning, it was a bit rainy, but still worth it. We also went to God's Window, it was beautiful, but we couldn't see anything, it was too misty. Will definitely go again. We also strolled around in Graskop and bought delicious biltong at Biltong Land. Another place we visited was African Silks where we were shown the silkworms and how the tapestries are made. It was amazing. Will definitely visit it again. The woods are beautiful and the nature is breathtaking.
The weather was rather disappointing. God's Window was covered in mist, for example. But in terms of accommodation we have no complaints ─ it was a pleasure!
Very quiet, clean and tidy. Love the view and everyone is friendly. Definitely a place where I will be able to blow off steam and enjoy a nice time with my family.
Friendly service at reception and by owner.
Lovely, warm electric blankets are provided on all the beds. Facilities and gardens are clean and well looked after.
Very pleasant and a relaxed environment. Will definitely stay there again.
Our stay was short and I cannot really expand on it.
Good location, excellent service. Would definitely make a pitstop at Sabie River Camp again.
The electric blankets got us through!
Was very nice. Nicely close to attractions and sights. Very peaceful and beautiful.
Great value for money! Client service is very good! Camp terrain is neat. It's located right next to the river, wonderful! And yes, we felt safe at all times! Children will also really enjoy it!
The tent was neat, clean and comfortable. Plastic chairs can be replaced, they look quite old. Ablutions are clean and tidy and the gas geysers mean that there will never be a shortage of warm water. There was a group that was busy till late and made some noise. The resort didn't tell them to be quiet as stipulated in the rules. It wasn't unbearable but still an irritation. The resort can implement the rules in a better way. There was a group of children too (field school type thing), and they used the same ablutions as the tents. It was quite full. We used the campsite ablutions further down and they were quiet. Despite the two problems that we experienced, I will go again and recommend it as an overnight/weekend option while you explore the environment.
Lovely atmosphere. The bunk beds, however, were not sturdy. The one fell off the other while the children were sleeping. Mattresses are very hard and not very comfortable.
We have stayed over at Sabie River Camp a few times now. Affordable, neat and clean.
Lighting in bunkbed area could be improved. Freezer capacity very limited.
Was lovely. Even though there was a protest, you kept us informed. They let us know we could enter camp. Road is safe. Sorry about that, wanted to visit other places but will next time.
We slept wonderfully warm thanks to electric blankets. The following shortcomings spoiled it a bit: Microwave to heat anything. Bathroom: There is not enough storage space for your things. When you take a shower, the whole place is under water. The room has one small closet, but there is room for 6 people. I will mount shelves of pipes in the wall so that you can put your bags on them. Back break for older people to work on the ground from a suitcase.
Place itself excellent but opposite place noisy.
We were very surprised by the cleanliness and the view of the resort. We would go back again anytime.
Not recommended in high season if you are looking for peace and quiet. Too noisy with backpackers and motorbikes, otherwise lovely getaway with beautiful scenery!
The camp and facilities are awesome, but the deafening party music every night until after 03:00 in the morning is really bad. The question is why does the local SAPS not get involved? Goes beyond my mind. Sabie River Camp will have to report the situation to the authorities.
I will visit Sabie River Camp again, but not in winter. The safari tents are well furnished and tidy. A good option for an affordable holiday.
Very friendly staff. Very helpful.
We will definitely camp with them again, the "unisex" ablution facilities were a bit strange for us, but no complaints. Was very nice for us. It's central to all the attractions in the area, the rates are reasonable and the facilities excellent. The green lawns and pitches are well maintained, we will definitely come and camp here again. It will just have to wait a year as our first born is on the way this year.
Beautiful facilities, incredibly neat ablution blocks ─ cleaned all day. Very good and neat kitchen facilities. The resort is very neat and clean. We had a great time. Owner was visible daily and very hospitable. Would definitely recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bathrooms are extremely neat and clean, we will definitely visit again.
There were a few items on the inspection list that weren't present in the tent, but that didn't bother us as we were only there for two nights. Thank you very much and we have already recommended the place to our friends.
Because we were only 3 ladies, I was a bit worried and didn't know what to expect. We felt very safe and at ease. The staff were very friendly and very very very helpful. The campsite is neat and very beautiful. We took some of the most beautiful photos. We stayed in one of the safari tents and it was very nicely equipped with everything you need when camping. We only took our food, clothes and own towels. Because it can get very cold in the area, we took extra blankets with us. Believe me it was actually not necessary. To our surprise there was an electric blanket for every bed in the tent. I will definitely stay here again, when we visit Sabie again.
It was absolutely value for money. Everything was beautifully clean and tidy and we all had warm blankets on our beds. It was a huge treat. Raymond is a very good host and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely visit Sabie River Camp again.
Beautiful and clean. Very relaxed.
Had a fantastic, peaceful time in a safe and clean environment. The tent was very comfortable and adequate.
The ablution pads are so neat. It is the first place any woman looks. Really terrible neat and always clean. The pools I think could use some attention. The hot water pool is not really very hot, but some people like warmer water more than others. The staff and management of the resort were really very considerate and friendly. The owner a nice person who mingles with his guests and makes sure everyone is happy. Really a cute little place.
Only the showers' hot water had been scarce in the evenings and mornings. We weren't sure when to take a shower to get hot water. Also very nice
Neat, clean and value for money. Owner very friendly and personally came to ask everyone if they were happy or if they needed anything.
The place is beautifully and conveniently located.
It was just nice to wake up with the pigeons cooing, the river babbling and the nature around you is Heavenly. Truly a place to rest. Feel free to go!
The accommodation is very clean and offers good value for money. I will use it again. The only negative was that the light from tent was out of order and so it was difficult to see in the dark with only the bedside lights. The problem was reported at the end of stay. I could not be registered on night of stay as the office was already closed.
I'm just not sure if the camp is that safe, there have been shots fired a few times. We understand people come from the river's side to steal and loot.
It is a very nice camp and our stay there was pleasant. I would just suggest that they make the pools bigger. The main pool is way too small to accommodate all the people. We didn't get a chance to get into the pool at all. The hot water pool is a little better, but also too small.
There are a few small things that could use attention.
We (family with 3 adults) stayed for five nights in a safari tent (en suite). We used the camp as a base to visit the Lowveld's attractions. The accommodation is located at the Sabie River campsite where there is also a cold and hot swimming pool, as well as a mini-golf course on the premises. The accommodation was fully equipped for self-catering, complete with a bathroom (shower), kitchen and a standing braai outside, but no microwave oven. Furthermore, the lighting in the tent is also not sufficient. We will visit the accommodation again provided the proposed improvements are considered.
Very centrally located.
A wonderful holiday! Facilities excellent and green lawns and plenty of shade, clean facilities and friendly management! Oh no - there I go again soon! Many thanks to LekkeSlaap for all your help and to Sabie River Camp for the wonderful holiday. LekkeSlaap - you are tops!
The tents are comfortably equipped with everything you need, and are very tidy.
Not too bad at all, but they really need to look at the hard mattresses on all the beds and then the fridge that doesn't work too well.
The facilities are clean and tidy.
