It is beautifully clean and tidy. Wonderfully quiet even though it is close to the main road. Just walk to the store. Place is very spacious. Erika is amazing.

Sable's Rest is a delightful, well-equipped home with absolutely everything you need. We also have a son in a wheelchair and the lower floor is definitely wheelchair friendly. There is also a lovely kitchen, lovely patio and boma and also animals that come to visit every day. The customer service was excellent - we accidentally bent a key in the door and Erika immediately helped with a new key. We will definitely stay there again in the future!

Stove oven not working. Water leaks from upstairs bathroom through floor to downstairs. Was not properly cleaned outside area. Advertises king size beds but is not.

Was a very pleasant stay. Enough crockery, safe and clean. The lady who helped us was very helpful and helped us where needed. 100% value for money. Will book there again anytime. There are also many animals that come up to the wire to say hello. The private house is also brilliant. You can hardly see anywhere else. The unit is very close to the shops and bars. About 1.4 km from everything you could want for a peaceful getaway.

Would have been nicer if we didn't have to do without the master bedroom's air conditioning for the duration of our stay. Not one night without any air conditioning, the stove's oven part working and the braai not having holes in it and the coals falling through! We broke a sliding door's key (due to a defect on the door that had no stop), but had to cover the full bill for the key as well as additional labor to prevent it from happening again... believe and trust the defects will be fixed!

"If it wasn't for Erika going out of her way to assist us, this would have been a terrible experience."

Erika was very efficient and came to our rescue when we realised there were no towels, letting us use towels from her own home. She was there to meet us and assisted when we broke a key in the door. If it weren't for her, our stay would have been a complete disaster. No towels and no toilet paper were a real concern. On re-reading the full details of the house, I picked up that no towels would be provided. I suggest that the agents should remind lessees of this or get the owner to actually look after the guests as this is really a bare minimum. This is our 5th time booking for Marloth and the first that we have experienced this. Dishwasher - present but no soap or mention to bring your own. Laundry - we have young kids and need to do the washing - the washer and dryer were locked beyond the reach of paying guests. Geyser - house can sleep 10 yet geyser can only provide hot water for 4. On the last day, we had no water at all! The house has zero gear to assist with loadshedding. No rechargeable lights or candles or anything so we had to use our cell phones as torches. The one chargeable light charges from a mini solar panel that didn't work! Stove element was broken and so that was not available for use. Security gates need to be closed because the sliding doors don't close properly. Security gate and sliding gate are very close to each other and so if you close one without removing the key from the security gate, it will break off! The furnishing was pleasant. The kitchen was well supplied with cutlery and crockery. Living space was comfortable. But for the issues above, it would be an ideal location and property.

We were there with our 3 children and my grandfather and grandmother. Would not recommend at all! The rooms were dirty, under the bed it was full of cobwebs, the bedding was not clean. If we had power due to the loadshedding then the power kept tripping because there is no maintenance and the electrician could not work on the power because the wires were open and it is a thatched roof and it could cause a fire . We are not people who moan but if you take your old people with you you expect at least the TV and the WiFi to work, especially in the evening if they want to watch their soap operas. But that didn't work either. The locks on the gates cannot close properly and have difficulty opening and closing. The woman who helped us with the place and the keys was really excellent with her service and we are grateful to her but her hands were cut off so I would suggest the owner come there himself and fix his place because it wasn't ' not a good experience.
