Very nice stay. All that bothered were the people above us. That they hung out and played music until late, which can be inconvenient. But the kids loved the swing and enjoyed their holes out.

I recommend this place to anyone on a business trip who just wants to stay overnight or if you are planning a family weekend getaway. It was really such a wonderful experience where you literally hear the silence. The view over Saldanha Bay with its lights and Vredenburg in the distance is simply breathtaking. The room I stayed in opens onto the lawn and the view at sunrise just makes your day. The room was clean and tidy.

In unit 4 we were originally booked there was a horrible stench, because of this I had a constant headache because there is no ventilation during the night, sliding door cannot be left open at night, the agent moved us up to the top floor on Sunday unit - what a nightmare. Refrigerator was rusted inside and not 100% clean, the 2 plate stove is old fashioned and ruined, the single bed mattress and mattress on sleeper couch are good enough to go to the ash heap, the bathroom cabinet is in poor condition and an eyesore . All in all, the unit needs a decent clean, upgrade and paint. Everything looked like it had been hammered together just to keep it standing or to make it look in usable condition.

Unfortunately the unit is not private, other visitors can use the garden in front of the unit, if there are people staying in the upper unit, the noise is deafening, and stairs are quite steep. The person on duty during my stay did go out of his way to help me.

Easy and quick drive to Langebaan Country Estate where the Weskus race started. Very friendly assistance and clean.
For small children can be quite a bit dangerous.
Although the setting is excellent, the interior is neglected and run down. Stove is rusted and you are worried that it will shock you rather than work. Pots need to be replaced, looks like my grandmother's pot cupboard where nothing fits together anymore. Attention can be paid to the bathroom - looks like a DIY job to save money. All linen must be replaced plus the mattresses. Alarms for safety, but if there are many people there will not be enough safe parking in the garage.

I was in love with Saldanha bay and the place itself. I will definitely go there again. Very very peaceful and lovely. I was very content.
We were in unit 3 and found the mattress extremely uncomfortable. Feel free to replace with a better quality one. My fiancé has a back problem and the mattress did her no good at all. She had to sleep on a single bed in the living area. The furniture needs an upgrade.
We could rest and relax without the noise of city life.
We slept in unit 3. The flat needs some upgrading, the microwave is rusted inside, the kettle's lid cannot close completely and the blankets/bedding were full of dust. I feel that for R800 a night the flat could be looked at better. Furthermore, we loved the beautiful view and our agent provided good service.
Photos can be deceiving! Inside the building, everything is old and shabby. The bedroom is cramped and no one can sleep on the bed. We will never want to stay there again!

Nice stay but it's not old people friendly. Ideal for younger people with a nice view of the bay.
I think the price for 2 people is too high for one night only and that for self-catering. The shower is in the bath and is not very convenient or safe.
If you have a larger vehicle - e.g. Landcruiser, it doesn't fit. Trouble getting internet. We wanted 2 double beds and 2 single beds but got 1 double bed and 4 single beds. Bath does not have a plug. The towels are not good. Overall, the unit is really not what we were hoping for.
Would recommend to anyone to stay there.
I will recommend it anytime to people, because it was easy to book and the reception was fantastic. I'm looking at making another booking for December. My wife was also very impressed with the house, because it had the most beautiful view over Saldanha and the sea. Once again, thank you very much.

Ideal if you looking for somewhere with no crowds where you just relax. Shop before arriving in Saldanha as stores are not great and pretty crowded.
Can recommend to people who want to take their dogs on holiday one of the few places that advertise they are pet friendly and when you book they still are unlike other places that advertise it and then when you book they suddenly aren't more pet friendly. Well done Marlon.

The furniture can be updated. The microwave, fridge, doors and couches, for instance, look very old. The place can do with a new TV, we are modern people and you pay for things that you do not have at home. Apart from that it was spacious, it had a beautiful view and the security was top notch.
We had a wonderful stay here. The views are spectacular. Not the most modern finishes but you have everything that you need. Marlon warned us that we needed to be vigilant but we did feel safe. We will definitely be back!

We had a very nice stay and all our needs were accommodated. The view over the bay is beautiful and in the evening a sea lies gently in front of you. We stayed there with 4 teenagers and they also really enjoyed it. It's small but definitely value for money.

On our arrival late in the evening, after we had been caught in a storm at Malmesbury on Friday afternoon on April 22 from Cape Town, we were received so kindly and warmly by Jannie. He went out of his way to help us quickly and professionally to unpack and feel at home. Likewise with our departure. It is rare that, even at the most expensive accommodation, a visitor is treated so warmly. The owner himself also came to meet us when we left, and inquired about our stay. This is super, super service. Thank you LekkeSlaap!
The house is spacious but needs a bit of renovation and especially another bathroom otherwise nice and could accommodate all of us without us being in each others way! The view is awesome from the house and I would really go back!
Unit provided very affordable and basic accommodation. Unit I stayed in was at different location and ideal for one person on business trip.
The photos on the website must be changed because it is not what we expected at all. The furniture is totally different. Old, neglected and dirty. The curtains are dirty and old and when you touch it it breaks. The single bed in the room is a very old and dirty sleeper coach with an ugly red velvet cloth over it with holes in. The biggest shock was the matres on the bed. The next morning I wanted to make the bed and to my shock I found the ugliest marks on the matres. I pulled the pillowcases off and found the same marks. I slept on the coach in the lounge for the rest of the stay. The apartment was very dirty and neglected overall. I played on the carpet with my baby and she put a handful of hair from previous people in her mouth. So the place was not cleaned before we came. Sorry but I will never go back. For the money we payed it wasn't what we received. I suggest the owners start loving the place again and make it look better before the allow people there again.

You really live up to your name. Worth every cent.
The unit was clean and the view wonderful. There was everything in the unit but lacked an iron. We had fantastic weather and were able to enjoy the outside deck and the outside barbecue. What is missing here is a swimming pool or Jacuzzi on the lawn.
The bed cover over the mattress had a blood spot in the middle which put me off right away! There was other people's tea, margarine, milk, porridge, etc. still in the place I didn't appreciate at all. The plastic bread/vegetable board was creepy, the cutlery wasn't clean and I myself, with the cleaning stuff I took, sanded the teaspoons, knives, plates and forks we used before we used them. The can opener is rusty. Table cloth dirty, had spots on it. Still, we had a nice stay, the place was generally clean - floors, bath, toilet, etc. The view made up for the rest, the sunrise and sunset were fantastic from our spot.
One can watch how the cargo ships are brought into the bay, how schools of fish swim in the water and the seals and seabirds catch them and how planes come to land. The weather was fantastic. We could have a nice barbecue on the balcony (We stayed in Unit 2.), sit at the table and benches outside and look at the moon and stars in the evening. The unit was clean and tidy (all that came up short was a vegetable knife!). We had a lovely time. Very nice view. Restful.

Unit 4 where I stayed is basically an outside room with a separate shower and toilet. The impression is created that it is completely private, but it is at the back of the owners' yard. No privacy.
