We were so happy with Salt Water House as it was stylish yet comfortable and clean and it was so close to the beach. Great to have the gas hob and LED light for load shedding and the braai on the veranda. We did miss having a clotheshorse or wash line to hang up towels. The outdoor shower would be the perfect location for this. Safe yet sunny. Even some hooks outside would help. We also had an issue with the oven door which we struggled to close and which later broke but thankfully didn't really affect our stay.
We really enjoyed staying at Salt Water House for the weekend. It was so peaceful and we hope to go there again soon.
We had a great weekend in Paternoster. Salt Water House is clean, tidy and fully equipped. There is enough space for four people to stay very comfortably. Will book there again with our children.
There is no indoor barbecue which creates a problem with Paternoster's afternoon wind. The current outdoor grill is impractical. It is located in the wrong place with a whirlwind hitting the braai. There is also no shelter like a roof or full wall. This makes barbecuing almost impossible unless the weather is perfect with absolutely no wind.
Absolutely beautiful and just being able to walk to the beach, my favourite part was definitely going to sleep with the sound of the waves and waking up to it too. Definitely going back.
It is an ideal break away for a couple or family.
Wonderful location, very tidy, exactly what you need, modern, very safe, well equipped and love the bath and outdoor shower with hot water!

Was a very pleasant scenery.
Very nice. Free wi-fi and full dstv great. Everything you might need already in the house. Neat and near to the beach area.
The upstairs shower doesn't drain properly and consequently the floor gets wet and slippery. A washing machine and tumble dryer or washing line would be helpful. The drains of the sinks in the downstairs room don't smell too nice, so some proper cleaning in all the smallest corners would help. Nonetheless this is a great place! We even extended our stay with 3 days.
We were very impressed with the service we received and of the overall accommodation. All in all, we had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again. Thank you TravelGround and Stay in Paternoster for the excellent service we received.
The house was full of dust as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. The house has no air-conditioning and not even a fan. We were there from the 7th December and it was very hot. All the windows were locked and the owners would not give us keys to unlock them. We complained about the trails of ants that were all over and got into everything even our luggage but they did nothing about it.

House rules
The balance is payable 7 days prior to arrival.No check-ins or check-outs are offered on Good Friday, Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
Key- and breakage deposit:
Key- and breakage deposit is payable with the deposit for the booking and refundable by bank transfer within 5 - 7 working days after departure, once the house has been scrutinised and all found in order. Please note that the key deposit will be retained and additional charges imposed if more guests than booked are found to be utilising the premises. Please furnish us with your banking details on arrival. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances unless the key and breakage deposit has been received.
Minimum stay required:
2 nights in low and mid-season
3 nights over long weekends
4 nights over Easter weekend
7 nights in high season
Guests must first visit our offices to check in and get their keys.
When entering Paternoster, turn left at the four-way stop. The 'Stay in Paternoster' office is situated about 75 m further, on the right-hand side of the road, at 87 St. Augustine Road.
