Sam’s Place @ Frog Mountain Getaway is one of six cottages located on a spectacular farm 18 km from Swellendam. Tucked away in a secluded green valley at the end of a farm road, you will feel like you have entered another world and are a million miles away from everything. The setting is truly breathtaking right up against the vibrant mountains.
This is the largest farmhouse and can accommodate up to 8 adults and 4 children as it comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a guest toilet. The first 2 bedrooms are both furnished with a queen-size bed, the third bedroom has 2 child-only bunk beds and the fourth bedroom has 2 single beds and a double bed. The 2 bathrooms are fitted with a bath and a shower, respectively.
The air-conditioned open-plan living area features a kitchen fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. A washing machine and dishwasher are available too. Leading from this kitchen is a dining table cosy lounge space with comfy seating, a fireplace and a TV with DStv which is a great spot for guests to relax with a book.
Outside is a private patio with comfortable seating. This patio leads down to a spacious lawn with a private swimming pool and a wood-burning hot tub which is the perfect spot for guests to unwind and enjoy a sundowner while the fire is burning.
This family farm is the ideal nature lover’s paradise with raw beauty at your fingertips. Some of the highlights of your stay will include swimming in rock pools, visiting waterfalls, hiking, and paddling on the beautiful Buffeljags River that meanders through the farm.
