This ground-floor unit can accommodate 4 guests at a time and comprises 3 air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, the second bedroom contains 2 single beds and the third bedroom has a double sleeper couch. Both bath and shower facilities are available in the apartment. All linen and bath towels are provided, however, guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.
The main living area on the ground level features an open-plan design with a kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as a dishwasher. A washing machine and a tumble-dryer are also available. Leading from the kitchen is a 6-seater dining table and the lounge has comfortable seating and a TV with selected DStv channels. Uncapped Wi-Fi is available.
Through the sliding doors, there is a semi-covered patio with views of the estate as well as an outdoor dining table, and sun loungers. The unit also has a JoJo tank which provides additional water during water delivery interruptions.
The estate is located close to the beach which has a lovely tidal pool and it offers guests communal facilities such as a large swimming pool with sun loungers, a restaurant, a bar, a play park for children, and a golf course as well as canoeing on the river.

The owners should look at equipment to prevent the power and water interruptions with e.g. gas.
Please note the following suggestions: 1. Bathrooms and toilets are extremely small and not suitable for older folk or senior citizens. A revamp should be considered to make them more accessible and modern. 2. Some of the utensils/equipment in the kitchen was old and worn out like the frying pans etc., the owner should consider replacing them. 3. The bedroom upstairs does not have any mats/carpets which makes it difficult for people that are coming out of the shower and need to use the rooms to change and get dressed as the bathrooms are extremely small to dress in. 4. None of the room doors or bathroom doors have keys and could lock - This is extremely uncomfortable for family members that are sharing the villa (or anyone for that matter) as there was no privacy, the doors for the bedrooms and bathrooms should at least be able to lock to give people their privacy. 5. The area to dry clothes and pathway leading to the house entrance, was extremely filthy. It was only swept and cleaned about two days into our stay, we did enquire with the cleaner and she advised that the estate cleaners were responsible for that areas and common properties. 6. The house had a stuffy and stale smell - it wasn't always possible to keep all doors and windows opened to air out the rooms due to the monkeys being around. 7. The Weber braai stand was extremely filthy - we could not use it as the moment the lid was opened it was just grease coming from all over the braai stand including the lid. I would suggest that the braai stand be given a good clean before each guest checks in so that they are able to use it. 8. The rooms are extremely small and not very spacious or comfortable to move around in. 9. The owner should consider putting a railing for the stair areas as guests with small kids would be considered of the dangers, even for elderly folks that need support when walking up and down the stairs.

House rules
The unit can only accommodate 4 persons as per estate rules.Additional fees not included in the quote and billed separately:
Entrance fees for 2 vehicles are included in the price.
Any additional vehicles will be charged at R100 per vehicle. Armbands for beach entrance are charged at R10 per person at reception.
Linen is provided and only replaced for stays of longer than 5 days.
Bath towels are provided and replaced every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Additional linen and towel changes can be arranged at an extra fee.
Guests need to bring along their own beach towels.

Housekeeping:
Low Season: Limited to Monday, Wednesday and Fridays only. Should you require additional days, please inform us as this can be arranged at an extra fee.
Mid-and High Season or Long weekends and School Holidays, serviced every day, except for Sundays and public holidays.
Estate house rules:
By booking this unit, our guest accepts the terms and conditions as well as the house rules of the estate that will be visited.
Motorcycles are not allowed on the estate and prior arrangement has to be made in order to park the motorcycles in the estate.
All December and January bookings should be paid one month prior to arrival. No payments can be made at the estate and should be settled before arrival.
You are not allowed to sublet the unit. Keys will only be signed out to the Surname confirmed with our agent.
South Africa is experiencing consistent loadshedding affecting all areas, including the South Coast. In the past, San Lameer has had occasions whereby the Eskom breakers in Marina Beach tripped and left the estate without power for a day. The estate is not able to predict these events and this is out of their control. Please come prepared.
Beaches are influenced by weekly tests to determine if it is safe to swim or not and therefore the owners can not guarantee that the beach will be open for swimming. The UGU Municipality does have seasonal problems with water supply in the South Coast, which might influence your stay. Although San Lameer has boreholes and reserve tanks, they are still reliant on the supply of the municipality. It is very important to note that water supply cannot be predicted, guests will be notified should there be an expected problem.
San Lameer can unfortunately not provide refunds on these instances, and advise guests to take the matter up with the related supplier of the service, or alternatively do not book the unit.
