Sanla Lake is a perfect holiday destination. I would advise that one just make sure about any construction work near the unit. Unfortunately, we booked during a time when the house next door was undergoing a complete demolition and construction. The noise is not ideal, but at least we were met and moved which saved the matter.
The estate is peaceful, clean and well maintained. Strict security measures are in place.
Yes, we did. With loadshedding and monkeys it was just a challenge to keep the unit closed in the terrible heat. Please replace the bathroom mat!
We had a nice stay. Except for the monkeys. Cannot leave doors or windows open for air. Love the scenery and roe deer, bird life as well as badgers.
When I checked in, the receptionist should have informed me about load shedding times. I was not prepared for load shedding, especially as I was planning a romantic dinner for my wife. No WiFi password was available, and there was insufficient lighting which did not last for 30 minutes.
Very neat unit with a great homely feel. Great proximity to beach and pool.
We had a great stay in Villa 2516. Very nice and clean. Good quality bedding. Unfortunately we could not connect to the WiFi that was available. The password was not available anywhere and reception did not manage to help. There was also no welcoming coffee/tea and refreshments on arrival that make one feel welcome and at home. Furthermore, we really enjoyed the Weber and grilled well, even though it was raining. Will definitely come back again.
Kitchen a bit cramped for cooking. Would like to see washer and tumble dryer.
The only disappointment was that we were not informed of the loadshedding on arrival at San Lameer. It is definitely value for money. I would however request that the owner invests in new bath mats. A disappointment when so much care has been taken with the other detail.

The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable and had everything that we needed!
My wife and I got away for our wedding anniversary for 3 days at San Lameer. We had a wonderful stay. We expected the unit to be bigger, but was still adequate for our time. Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire time we were there, but the facilities were neat and the resort in good condition. San Lameer's golf course is picturesque and they offer good facilities for a family holiday. Will possibly want to stay there again in the future.
Wanted to barbecue on the first day, the barbecue was out of action. I called and reported it, what impressed me was it was done after 2 hours and a new Weber was there. Many thanks for the cooperation. Will always use and recommend LekkeSlaap.

The layout and decor were very good and it was a pleasure to stay there. A few days was just enough because it got a little cramped. We were forced to stay indoors with our stay here because it was raining the whole time. Of course, it won't be a problem if the sun shines nice and you don't have to stay in the house. All things considered, it was pleasant to stay here!
We were off season and exactly what we wanted. Good escape from the cold winter and Gauteng.

San Lameer Villa 2516 was even better than in the pictures. Exceptionally clean and tidy and conveniently located. Can definitely recommend it.
Not enough hanging space in the cupboard and no place for your food. Was quite difficult to get out of the bath. Very comfortable bed and the linen was of excellent quality and the unit was very clean and tidy. DStv with all the channels was a bonus. We could watch anything we wanted.
It was peaceful, clean and provided the rest I needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to recharge.
The place is very cramped and the chairs and couch uncomfortable, if you watch TV. TV is located in such a way that one cannot lie in bed. Not near beach. No storage space for groceries. I had to store food in the wardrobe. Very clean and cleaned daily. Staff of the estate helpful and friendly. To braai is a terrible tamaletji. No roof, so you can't barbecue if it rains.
The place is wonderful! It's exactly as advertised, nice size for two people, with all you need. The kitchen is equipped with all necessities, spacious bathroom, beautiful open-plan bedroom and living area with aircon, that cooled the entire place. The patio is ideal for a braai and board games in the evening. And the undercover garage right at the front door. The owner was always very friendly and helpful and made the check-in process a pleasure. We will definitely go back - we really enjoyed it a lot. I've been to San Lameer a few times and Villa 2514 is definitely one of my favorites so far.
It was a lovely unit, convenient and within walking distance of the beach. The owner was friendly and helpful. We would definitely book this unit again.
All-round resort, good management, the shop needs some attention.
The unit is located just off the main street but the traffic didn't bother us. We were within 10 minute's walking distance form the beach, clubhouse, spa and hotel. The studio unit we stayed in was spacious enough for 2 people. It's well equipped and tasteful and the cleaners were always friendly and thorough.
San Lameer is a fantastic resort with everything you need for a great and safe holiday. Our booking through LekkeSlaap and San Lameer was handled very professionally. Werner was always very professional and made everything very easy for us.

Although the place was small, it didn't bother you at all. The villa was fully equipped and we lacked nothing. Every bit of space in the villa has been used effectively!

Excellent resort, small but very comfortable unit, and neat. Was great to just relax in a beautiful environment, but close enough to little towns and restaurants. Was just a bit noisy because they were upgrading some of the units and areas.
We found it very pleasant. Everything we needed was there for us to use. Nice central to get to everywhere inside and outside.

Motorcycles are not allowed on the estate and prior arrangement has to be made in order to park the motorcycles in the estate.
South Africa is experiencing consistent load-shedding affecting all areas, including the South Coast. In the past, San Lameer has had occasions whereby the Eskom breakers in Marina Beach tripped and left the estate without power for a day. We are not able to predict these events and this is out of our control. Please come prepared. Beaches are influenced by weekly tests to determine if it is safe to swim or not and we can not guarantee that the beach will be open for swimming. The UGU Municipality does have seasonal problems with water supply in the South Coast, which might influence your stay. Although San Lameer has boreholes and reserve tanks, they are still reliant on the supply of the municipality. It is very important to note that we can't control or predict their water supply but will notify our guests should there be an expected problem. We can unfortunately not provide refunds on these instances, and advise guests to take the matter up with the related supplier of the service, or alternatively do not book the unit.
