The fully air-conditioned villa can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen and living area. The main bedroom, located on the upper floor, has a queen-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet. A balcony adds to the privacy of this room and allows for a beautiful view of the lagoon. The other 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds, are located on the ground floor and share a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin and toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining area has seating space for 6 people, while the lounge has a comfy lounge suite and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with selected DStv channels. Uncapped Wi-Fi access is also provided.
From the living area, the villa extends to a covered patio with a braai where you can enjoy sundowners while relaxing with an amazing view of the lagoon. One covered parking bay is available for your vehicle. Additional vehicles need to park at the allocated open spaces in the Estate.

Great stay no problems.
We arrived on Sunday 23 April and abandoned the stay on Saturday 29 April less than halfway through the planned vacation. On day 2 the water supply to the estate was cut/ran out and we kept going for another 2 days on bottled water from the local shops for ablutions, cooking, and cleaning at which point the geyser for the unit packed up and was tripping the power so we were without power (in addition to any Eskom loadshedding) as well as water (the estate reception was notified of this problem). The unit and cleaning could due to the problems only be partially serviced. Subsequent to the stay I have been able to establish that the UGU local municipality has no water available to purify and pump for the South Coast consumers, from Southbroom down. Port Edward has had no water now for 4 week and other locations (from Southbroom) only has water available very intermittently (unsustainably) with residents resorting to "JoJo" tank storage of water. This problem will only be rectified once new dams have been built inland and piped to the coast for distribution which at best will take at best 5 years (if ever, given the state of National and provincial Gov bodies). I, therefore, need to discourage anyone from visiting this holiday destination, and anyone wishing to make a booking needs to be discouraged or at least made aware of the collapse of the water infrastructure in this area and which will be a long-term problem. The stay in short was an unmitigated disaster and given the structural problems that are not new in the area, I would have expected an advanced warning of the situation from the website as the agent.
Will come again for sure.
Accommodation was wonderful - nice beds, good rest, all facilities needed were there. We had a great time - even booked a day longer at the end.

Additional fees not included in the quote and billed separately:
Entrance fees for 2 vehicles are included in the price.
Any additional vehicles will be charged at R100 per vehicle.
Linen is provided and only replaced for stays of longer than 5 days.
Bath towels are provided and replaced every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Additional linen and towel changes can be arranged at an extra fee.
Guests need to bring along their own beach towels.

Housekeeping:

Estate house rules:
By booking this unit, our guest accepts the terms and conditions as well as the house rules of the estate that will be visited.
Motorcycles are not allowed on the estate and prior arrangement has to be made in order to park the motorcycles in the estate.
All December and January bookings should be paid one month prior to arrival.
No payments can be made at the estate and should be settled before arrival.
You are not allowed to sublet the unit. Keys will only be signed out to the Surname confirmed with our agent.
South Africa is experiencing consistent load-shedding affecting all areas, including the South Coast. In the past, San Lameer has had occasions whereby the Eskom breakers in Marina Beach tripped and left the estate without power for a day. We are not able to predict these events and this is out of our control. Please come prepared.
Beaches are influenced by weekly tests to determine if it is safe to swim or not and we can not guarantee that the beach will be open for swimming.
The UGU Municipality does have seasonal problems with water supply in the South Coast, which might influence your stay. Although San Lameer has boreholes and reserve tanks, they are still reliant on the supply of the municipality.
It is very important to note that we can't control or predict their water supply but will notify our guests should there be an expected problem.
We can unfortunately not provide refunds on these instances, and advise guests to take the matter up with the related supplier of the service, or alternatively do not book the unit.
