The living area opens onto a covered patio with a built-in braai and the patio connects with a large lawn in front.
The estate opens onto the blue-flag Marina beach. The estate offers an 18-hole golf course as well as a 9-hole mashie course. Guests can also make use of the 3 squash- and tennis courts, 2 pools or visit the restaurant at the hotel or the spa.

This unit was ideal for six people with comfortable modern furniture, a large screen television, WiFi, water tank, soft towels, new kitchen appliances and a fantastic location. 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk along the footpath to the hotel and shop. There was good communication between us and the letting agent and their maintenance team responded quickly to defects. We used 2 parking spaces and both were very close to this unit. The bedrooms are on the second floor and the steep stairs may be a problem for older persons and small children. The kitchen utensils, vegetable knives and pans can be replaced. The inverter gave problems and we could not rely on it for power during load shedding.
We had a very nice stay. I will mention that there are things here and there that need to be replaced in the villa, for example the kitchen bins, as well as the toilet holder in the main bathroom and then the tumble dryer's door is also broken (still works, but part of the door sometimes falls off ).
This was our 5th stay at San Lameer and always very enjoyable. This time my brother and sister-in-law accompanied us. Just a pity that some villas are been neglected and old dark cane headboard and pedestals etc. in main bedroom of villa 3502 very scruffy looking and duvet covers could do with replacing.
No parking numbers, just get a final warning for wrong parking after the workers ordered us to stop there. Looks like a construction site with all the construction debris.
The place was clean and its was safe, we had everything we needed and more.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in a beautiful location. The children loved the slide in the main swimming pool. Convenient walk to the beach.
Comfortable place to stay, close to everything.
The house was very clean and tidy. Bonus that it had a working washing machine and tumble dryer. We will definitely visit San Lameer again on future vacations.
The unit is a bit tired - it needs a fresh coat of paint and maybe some modernisation. Both sinks in the bathrooms taps don't close properly so you have to turn them very tightly to avoid spilling water. Otherwise, no complaints. Nothing to do with the unit, but I really think that San Lameer needs to look again at their access control at the gate to the sea. The process they used when we were there (January 4 -11, 2020) was not sufficient for me - anyone could take more than one bracelet and then give it to any other person (not necessarily staying in the resort) and then they could enter. They also weren't consistent with their rules - one day you have to return the bracelet and other days you don't - so I don't know if it was just after the peak season and that's why they weren't as strict, but it did make me feel uncomfortable I think the previous process where you had to pay for the bracelet and then get the deposit back was much better for me and you could check it better.
The service of the website was exceptional. They were accommodating, helpful and very friendly. They provided information the whole time, from check-in arrangements to emergency numbers to information about power failures at the accommodation. All their arrangements and assistance were extremely appreciated. San Lameer as a holiday destination is special. Safe, clean and convenient. A lot of beautiful beaches and all the activities you want. I only wish I could play golf.

The apartment has its own JoJo tank for backup water supply and an inverter.Additional fees:
Entrance fees for 2 vehicles are included in the price.
Any additional vehicles will be charged at R100 per vehicle.
Linen is provided and only replaced for stays of longer than five days.
Bath towels are provided and replaced every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Additional linen and towel changes can be arranged at an extra fee.
Selective Dstv channels included.
Guests need to bring along their own beach towels.
Housekeeping:
Low Season: Limited to Monday, Wednesday and Friday's only. Should you require additional days, please inform us as this can be arranged at an extra fee.

Estate house rules:
By booking this unit, our guest accepts the term and conditions as well as the house rules of the estate that will be visited.
Motorcycles are not allowed on the estate and prior arrangement has to be made in order to park the motorcycles in the estate.
South Africa is experiencing consistent load-shedding affecting all areas, including the South Coast. In the past, San Lameer has had occasions whereby the Eskom breakers in Marina Beach tripped and left the estate without power for a day. We are not able to predict these events and this is out of our control. Please come prepared. Beaches are influenced by weekly tests to determine if it is safe to swim or not and we can not guarantee that the beach will be open for swimming. The UGU Municipality does have seasonal problems with water supply in the South Coast, which might influence your stay. Although San Lameer has boreholes and reserve tanks, they are still reliant on the supply of the municipality. It is very important to note that we can't control or predict their water supply but will notify our guests should there be an expected problem. We can unfortunately not provide refunds on these instances, and advise guests to take the matter up with the related supplier of the service, or alternatively do not book the unit.
