Nice view of mountain from our unit.
Service was out of this world! Friendly, clean, excellent backup generator during load-shedding, beautiful view, and the after-hour call-out was solved in 5 minutes! Surely one of the best places to stay in Clarens.
We stayed in San Rock Guest House during the winter, and because of the underfloor heating in the loft's living area and bathroom, we barely knew the cold! Clarens is known for its cold winters, so in this respect I can highly recommend San Rock Guest House. The loft is very neat and extremely comfortable, and the balcony has a nice view of the mountain and offers enough privacy from the main house. I will definitely stay at San Rock Guest House again when I visit Clarens again.

San Rock is close to the Clarens conservancy where we enjoy walking, and isolated from the township in terms of noise at night. The loft is spacious and comfortable.
Attention may only be paid to the front at the entrance to the garage. Beautiful house. The entrance just needs attention.
San Rock's attic room has a beautiful view of the mountains and trees. The room was big and tidy. There were even cupcakes delivered on our first morning there. Booking in was easy with one Whatsapp message. The room is close to the town square and can be easily walked. (Note the roads are dirt roads.) We used the braai with ease, but there were just no salad bowls to put salads in. Also note that to get to the beautiful view, you have to walk some stairs. In the evening it is very quiet and you can even hear an owl! We would like to come and stay in the attic room again.

Excellent location. Neat, spacious and extremely comfortable rooms, kitchen and living area. Safe. Beautiful garden. The "blockout" curtains in the rooms are very welcome!
The place was great. Heated floors were amazing. Amazing garden for the dogs. Everything was excellent. The place does have self-check-in facilities , however we were told to wait for the housekeeper upon arrival. I ended up finding the keys and checking in myself.
Good service from staff. Pet friendly, thank you very much for that. Our dog children felt welcome. Room was wonderfully warm in winter.
The house was neat and clean. Rooms were large with a nice view of the garden. The dogs really enjoyed it and the house is walking distance to hiking trails. Would highly recommend.

San Rock Guest House is particularly well planned and offers great indoor facilities. The room is furnished and positioned to accommodate privacy with luxurious comfort. Outside, the guest house is built on a large plot which offers further space. The additional facility of electrical assistance (generator) during power failure was an added convenience. Dier erf's beautiful trees with the mountain nearby make the stay experience even better.

San Rock is very nicely located, just far enough outside the center of Clarens and close enough for a nice 10 minute walk into town. What you see is what you get, the place looks exactly like the photos. Enjoyed stay and would definitely recommend.

The room at San Rock is neatly and tastefully furnished. Unfortunately no air conditioning, but a fan on a stand. No breakfast, there is a small kitchen corner, and many places to eat in town. The guest house is equipped with a large generator in case of load shedding. We saw no host or hostess. Someone did wait for us and showed us our room.
Stylish, comfortable, everything you need is there. Only one inconvenience was the drainage system that overflowed.
The Loft was everything we expected and more. Will return anytime.

The accommodation was as it is advertised on the internet. Very clean, neat and tastefully decorated. We plan on going back with our families in the new year. We were utterly satisfied with everything. The only downside is that there is no WiFi available on the property.
Die "Main House" is gerieflik ingerig met pragtige meubels. Goeie beddens en matrasse. Ons het die stoep met die braaiplek geniet, asook die kaggel vir die koue aande. Die kamers het pragtige uitsigte op die berge. Die komplimentêre bottel wyn was gaaf. Selfs n paar bordspeletjies in die kas. Beauty was 'n ster. Die huis is in 'n stil buurt, baie naby die staproetes en dam. Ons het heelwat gestap in en om Clarens, asook by Golden Gate. Ongelukkig was die 2 gaste in die "Guest Room" nie baie bedagsaam met hul harde musiek, harde gepratery en aanhoudende gerook nie (ten spyte van kennisgewings dat daar asb. nie binne in die kamers gerook moet word nie). Die "interleading door" is dus nie baie klank- en reukdig nie. Behalwe hiervoor, was dit 'n heerlike wegbreek.

Well appointed and maintained home with excellent finishes and furnishing. Very spacious.The side roads leading to the home are in a bad condition and not suitable for normal cars.
We had a great stay at San Rock. We rented both the Main House and the Loft for the weekend. Both units have beautiful furniture and are very tastefully decorated. The bedding is clean and new. The kitchen is well equipped and there are enough choices of places to visit; dining room, living area and a large veranda with a braai area and table/chairs. There is also a large garden and the house is well located if you want to go jogging/"Trailrun" in the morning.
