28 guests' feedbackGreat hosts. Good location in Cape St Francis with nearby shops and restaurants. The property has been slightly weathered by the sea air over the years. There is vehicle access right up to the door.
Sandown is situated on the beach with a nice wooden path leading down to the beach. The unit is very basic but has everything one would need for a weekend getaway. The village is quiet, safe and has cute places to eat, lookouts and walking trails.
The bonus of the path straight from the property to the beach - saw our boys grab their boards and disappear. Beautiful views from the top unit - wish our stay had been longer.
Sandown is really close to the beach - just a short walk down a path to the dunes, and then the sea!
Owner even arranged cake for us for a birthday party! And on top of that for our evening meal at a restaurant booked on request!
Very nice stay. Very well located.
Did not stay in Sandown Self-Catering due to pets. Their ad said you can bring pets if arranged. But on hearing it moved to another unit. It is suitable for young people. A bit cramped. Was a bit scared with car that had to be parked outside during the night. Attention can be given to linen (pillows and beds).
Hillary and Dave are friendly and lovely hosts. Really enjoyed the local knowledge chats and advice.
We had a great stay.
We had a wonderful stay and simply took the opportunity to explore the area. The power was out due to stormy weather but the hostess was kind enough to bring us boiling water early in the morning.
We enjoyed our stay with beautiful sea views and an easy walk to the beach. Close to shops and gym. Excellent food at restaurants. Worth a stay with Saint Francis, just a short drive with so much to do and experience.
The place has everything you need.

Off-season best time to take advantage of accommodation for just 2 people, or to book all the units as a family for more privacy. Very good location. Nice stay!
Stayed as B&B and had excellent light breakfast overlooking sea. Just felt our room needed a bit of attention, but it was a most enjoyable stay and we would definitely be back.

We stayed in the 1st floor apartment and the views are to die for. It is open-plan kitchen, dining and bedroom with a separate toilet and shower. The kitchen facilities are adequate, but would have liked a bigger fridge. It borders a large and bushy open space with a path leading down to the beach. We loved it there and highly recommend it to any couple looking for a relaxed stay in Cape St Francis.
Management are very hospitable and accommodation is ideally located. Comfortable and neat.
Very friendly reception and very neat and clean accommodation. The host has a lot of knowledge about the area that he shared with us. Very short 200 m walk to the beach. We will highly recommend the accommodation.
The owners were not prepared to receive me when I arrived at 14:45. Room and bathroom were still not ready. The alternative was an outside building/apartment. The TV is controlled by the owner from the residence and you will just have to be content to watch when and what they watch. Upon arrival the owners disappeared and were not seen again until departure.
Peaceful, clean and neat. Really a lovely place to sleep. We got directions to nice restaurants and the breakfast was nice and light.
The wooden deck is an ideal place to hang out and Hilary and Dave are very nice people
Lots of attention to detail, plenty of toiletpaper, lots of bath soap.
Hilary is very hospitable and the extra effort she made as our flight was delayed is very nice. It's a lovely place. People hospitable!
