Located on the premises of the main house, the second-floor apartment has a private entrance, and comprises 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a lounge. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the second bedroom contains 2 three-quarter beds. The rooms share the use of a bathroom with a shower, and a toilet. For convenience, linen and blankets are provided, and guests need to bring their own towels.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a 2-plate mini stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table.
Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with Openview and has a view of the ocean. Please note that there is no DStv, but free Wi-Fi is available.
Braai facilities with a grid are available in the entertainment area and a shaded parking space under a canopy is provided.
The apartment has a solar backup system in case of power outages.
SandyPaws is just 500 from the river and 900 m from the beach. Visitors to Gouritsmond can go walking on the beach, visit the tidal pool, go fishing, surfing, or watch the whales between July and November.

Even though we went in the colder part of the year, the accommodation is surrounded by walking paths through the fynbos, which we enjoyed and could still sit at the beach and watch the waves.
Very pleasant place. Spacious, clean and tidy with everything needed for self-catering. Delicious braai area and parking under a shade net canopy.

It was everything we wanted - nice private entrance and exit to the apartment. It is beautiful and neat and comfortable to stay there. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Nice close walking distance to sea and sand. Very well equipped with more than enough especially in the kitchen. Overall a lovely visit there. Will use the accommodation again.

Matty and Johan were very friendly and the accommodation was clean, modern, very safe, very attractive and a bargain price! The only negative is if you are elderly or have very small children you will just need to watch the stairs. But other than that SandyPaws is strongly recommended!

The perfect break from busy city life. 5 minutes walk from the beach. The living room's windows face east, so you get the sunrise on the sea side and to the west you get the view of the sunset over the countryside. The owners are very friendly and it feels like we have known each other for years. They were very helpful. There is no WiFi and DStv, so it is also a nice break from the electronic devices and a nice place to sit and read. I will definitely come back here again.

We were three mature ladies who stayed one night. The unit was very neat, clean and comfortably furnished. The unit can accommodate 4 people and we feel it is certainly big enough for 4 adults. The hostess received us kindly and shared necessary information, e.g. hiking trails, etc. We were sorry we couldn't stay a little longer. Sandy Paws is highly recommended.

I came to Gouritz to work and not to have a holiday. My days were filled with stress and busyness, but I knew, that at the end of the day, I was going 'home' to a neat and tranquil space, where I could rest and recoup energy for the next day. The accommodation was clean, comfy and super quiet and the views from the various windows lifted my spirits and helped calm my nerves. The apartment had everything I needed and my hosts even had a generator, in case there were long stretches of no electricity. Matty went the extra mile to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely stay there again! What great value for money! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Before our arrival, Matty was already very helpful with information we needed. Upon our arrival she received us very kindly and made us feel welcome. The apartment looks new and is very tidy and is better than we expected. We really enjoyed our one night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely visit again.

Me, my wife and daughter slept there for 3 nights. Matty and her husband went out of their way to make our stay there as enjoyable as possible. It is a new unit against their house with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It is completely private and it feels like you are on your own. Everything is perfect. Clean and tidy.
The weather did not cooperate during our visit, the wind was blowing hard. The ideal destination for fishing, walking and cycling if the weather cooperates. There is not much else to do.
