SANParks Abrahamskraal Cottage is located in the West Coast National Park. A short drive out of Cape Town and one happens across the jewel that is the West Coast National Park. Against the backdrop of the azure blue lagoon, white dunes, rare fynbos, green wetlands and unbounded waves, there is much to experience. Just inland from the secluded harbour of Saldanha Bay, and only 1,5 hour's drive from Cape Town's City Centre, one finds the azure waters of the Langebaan Lagoon, focal point of the West Coast National Park. West Coast National Park boasts a number of attractions, suited to all ages in the family. This beautiful park is the perfect place to explore and get closer to nature.

Abrahamskraal Cottage is a self-catering cottage situated near to the Abrahamskraal waterhole. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests and contains 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first bedroom contains a double bed and an en suite. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds, 2 pull-out beds and an en suite. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, and a gas fridge-freezer. Electricity in the house is provided by solar energy. There are no points or plugs for electric equipment. There is a fireplace in the living area to utilize as a braai or fireplace.

Situated inside the West Coast National Park, you will find the Geelbek Restaurant, set right on the picturesque Langebaan lagoon; it offers spectacular views of the Park and lagoon and surrounded with breathtaking natural vistas of flamingos and other bird life, with a huge variety of game and wildlife. This Cape Dutch building is a national monument and is known worldwide for its distinctive African flavour. Under the new management of Rassie Erasmus and his team this magnificent restaurant brings a sensational fine dining experience to the table, with superb mouth watering dishes that will entice your palate and enchant your senses.

Please note: From 1 September 2017 all visitors over 18 years old will be required to produce an identity document, passport or alternative valid identification e.g. driver’s licence card for scanning upon entering/exiting the Parks.
A standard daily conservation fee of R440 for foreign visitors, R220 for SADC nationals with a valid passport, and R110 for South African Citizens and Residents with ID, will be required on entry to the park.

Vehicle fuel is not available in the park. The nearest fuel station is in the Langebaan Village (approximately 5 km from the park).
Accommodation is available from 14:00 on the day of your arrival and time of departure is 10:00.
No late arrivals will be allowed.
Guests should bring their own wood.
All accommodation is serviced and fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, bedding, towels and soap.
Sheets and towels will be changed every 3 days.
Tap water comes from a well-point and is safe to drink, however guests may not be accustomed to the taste so they are welcome to provide their own drinking water.
Electricity in the house is provided by solar energy. There are no points or plugs for electric equipment and guests are requested to use lights sparingly.
The are no ATM facilities available inside the Park.
No loud music or portable generators are allowed in the West Coast National Park.

The use of drones inside (and over) our national parks is strictly prohibited.
No smoking is allowed inside the accommodation.
Remember, by feeding any wildlife you are signing their death warrant, as they become aggressive.
As outdoor lighting in camps is limited, a torch/headlamp is required when walking outside at night.
Pets are not allowed in a National Park.
