Gharagab Wilderness Camp is an unfenced camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Located in the far northern region of the park, will provide guests with elevated views of Kalahari dunes and the thornveld savannah. Gharagab is only accessible to 4x4 vehicles and the one-way sand track is turned into from the main road, 20 km on from Grootkolk. Situated in the north of the Park close to Union’s End, this camp will give visitors the chance to experience this beautiful tree and grass savannah veld of the Kalahari.

The camp has 4 Log Cabin units, each containing 2 single beds, a bathroom with a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin, and an equipped kitchen with a gas fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The basins have solar-powered lights, gas for hot water, and braai facilities on the deck. The units are made from a combination of wood, cane and canvas and, like the other wilderness camps, are well-equipped. The water here is very salty, even too salty for cooking, so remember to bring your own.

Power in the camp is supplied by solar and gas, there are no conventional plugs. The camp also has a raised viewing platform. This camp is not fenced and a Tourism Assistant is on duty at all times. The camp is is accessible only to 4-wheel drive high clearance vehicles with no trailers, travelling on a 1-way access road.
