Indoor fire in the evening for warmth and atmosphere (and a little smoke). A welcoming bottle of Shiraz and electric blanket to counter the cold nights!
The accommodation was extraordinary, with staff checking in on us from time to time and helping with any or everything. They also came to clean the indoor fireplace the next morning. The house is spacious and feels like home. The wine cellar is also within walking distance, and with the farm being between the mountains, the views are from a fairytale.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. At times, I was a bit concerned that we were bothering guests without kids, as there were 4 kids in our group, but in general, people were accommodating. It's important for guests seeking a quiet break that the accommodation does cater for children too.
The cottages are clean and comfortable and well-appointed. Paying extra for tea and coffee was a surprise as this is normally complimentary at similar places.
Our unit was easily accessible on arrival. . We enjoyed the peaceful environment and the mountain view from our cottage.

Very professional service.
Even though it was very cold and rainy, the cottages are so well furnished that you don't mind staying inside at all. The wine cellar at the cottages was also a big plus.
Luciana is extremely helpful and even relocated our friends to another cottage due to the geyser not working. Highly recommended and we are coming back. The bathroom was a bit tiny, especially when you are opening the door. The pots are very small, for a family of 4 it was a bit difficult to cook a full meal.

Wine tasting can be recommended in the beautiful tasting room with their art exhibition. Complimentary cheese board and bottle of wine was a lovely surprise.

We had a nice stay for two nights. The only real criticism we could give was the large amount of flies in our unit. You can forget about cooking or grilling meat. We realize that the accommodation is on a farm and it is difficult to stop nature, but when you rent out accommodation for a fee there should be a more concrete plan made with something that can spoil the accommodation.
Luciana was great in communication. We received everything we needed to make our weekend memorable. The pool area was kept neat and pleasant. We didn't even miss the absence of a TV.
The location is great and the cottages are well-maintained with everything you need. The complimentary one-night wood is so wet it takes the entire night to light. The walls are very thin and we were subjected to hearing our neighbors at midnight in their room. Cleaning lady is fantastic and stopped us to ask if we needed anything. Everything has to be paid for beforehand and when you enter there is a price list and breakage price list. The cheese platter was expensive and was tiny! Not worth the amount paid. Beds are comfortable and the layout is lovely. The wifi was off the entire two days we stayed there. Loadshedding unpredictable yet no alternative to gas has been provided therefore you can't even make a cup of coffee during loadshedding.

A very pleasant surprise. All the cottages is beautifully furnished, decorated and clean. Lovely braai area. 3 kinds of plugs in every room: RSA, European and USB.
Very cozy place. Girlfriend and I booked this place for our 2 year anniversary. We booked the 1 bedroom cottage, it had everything. Not included in the pictures was a beautiful large bath. There was a coffee machine with free pods, the WiFi is excellent. No TV, which in a location with such beautiful views, is perfect. No need for a TV, it would be a distraction. The place was super tidy, the king-size bed is really good. We booked in July 2022, so the included electric blanket came in handy, along with chilling in front of the fire place. The only thing I would advise, as a heads-up, is that there are no bedroom cupboards, there is place and included hangers to hang a few coats or shirts. Other than that, really recommend and would do it again. Besides the cottage, there is a wine tasting facility, a good size community pool, cows to look at, and a day spa that is literally less than 1km away. 10/10.

We booked 2 cottages for a family weekend away. The cottages were beautiful and very well-equipped and the team were very accommodating, making sure our every need was met. There is plenty to do in the estate and close by - wonderful for those who like to be active and those who prefer to just relax and take in the beautiful scenery.
We had a great time walking around the farm. The cottage itself is very stylish, comfortable and well equipped. The views of the surrounding mountains are particularly beautiful.
The check-in and check-out went smoothly and the cottages are equipped with everything and anything for a night's sleep. Unfortunately, they are not geared for load shedding, but we had a great stay.

The cottages are in a beautiful location. They have all the essentials and were spotlessly clean. A problem with the air-conditioner was promptly attended to. The artwork on the estate provides some interesting viewing and the outdoor wine tasting venue has a beautiful view. A lovely spot to spend a quiet few days to recharge.

The location is beautiful and relaxing, the cottages are clean and well equipped, loved the air-con (heater) in the rooms for at night, especially now in winter made a huge difference and staff are friendly and very helpful. There really isn't anything I would change and if we could go every weekend we would.

Beautiful cottage. Very well equipped and an oasis of green. The perfect location for a wine tour break. Special extras such as Saronsberg's olive oil and coffee for the Nespresso machine were available. The cottage is well laid out for privacy and each cottage has a beautiful view of the mountains.
Very comfortable acccommodation and private for a one bedroom dwelling. Their cellar is a must and is very close to most of the other wine farms. Nice and cosy even though we were there during a cold front.

I'm used to a king-size bed. There was only a double bed and a single bed in the chalet. I didn't sleep well. I couldn't tell on this website that it is only a double bed. Just said sleep 3.
Beautiful place. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the unit, it was absolutely beautiful accommodation inside and outside of the unit. At first we were disappointed not having a covering over the patio of our unit, but the pool and cool inside of the cottage definitely made up for it! The tasting room is also beautiful and wine exceptional, walking distance from cottages so a definite must. Everything was very clean, not one thing we can complain about. (Okay maybe one thing: include a complementary wine tasting with the stay) Keep it up!

It was a weekend organized as a surprise for my wife who is turning 60. The communication with Luciana Raimondi who manages the cottage facilities was outstanding! The cottages were neat, well located and all instructions, also for the Lapa we booked, were good. I would definitely like to use Saronsberg and the accommodation again. Definitely a gem!

Saronsberg is a beautiful, wine estate nestled between mountains (covered with snow), near the historical little town called Tulbagh. Everything about Saronsberg was perfect. Communication via e-mail or phone, friendliness, accommodating, cosy chalets with fireplaces, aircons in rooms, squeaky clean bedding and bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, lounge area and then of course the surroundings. Mountains, vineyards, dams with ducks, wine-tasting, art room, snacks on order, exceptional wines and much much more are to await you when arriving at Saronsberg. You cannot make a better choice! We will see you again Saronsberg!
We visited Saronsberg during a hot January to be greeted by the lovely air conditioning when we entered the cottage! The accommodation was first class, quiet and quiet despite a working farm! The area is beautiful and a good variety of restaurants to choose from in the vicinity. We will definitely come again.

Clean and very well furnished with all the kitchen equipment you need. No TV, which is an absolute blessing. Indoor and outdoor barbecue and firewood delivered to your door. Air conditioner in the bedroom, good king size bed with good linen. Guests can explore the entire farm.
The cottage was comfortably and tastefully equipped - choice of an indoor and outdoor barbecue was ideal for the 2 of us who like to throw a little meat on the coals in winter and summer. The breathtaking view when you taste wine at the cellar or just sit and stare at the mountains with a glass of sparkling wine, is enough to invigorate body, soul and spirit. Definitely worth another visit!

The person at reception wasn't informed well enough about the area. Information of activities was vague. A big plus was the indoor braai, seeing that it was very cold the night we stayed here.
Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but enjoyed it very much. The location is perfect and the facilities very good. Many people want to get away and just rest, but we were surprised that there was no TV or WiFi in the cottage.

Very nice place and "setting". Rooms very nice and good air conditioning. I was in Chalet 9 which faced west and asked for a chalet that faced east. I was told they were fully booked and couldn't move me. There were several units open that evening - specifically Chalet 8 opposite me with an eastern front. Place fantastic, service not so good!

Very nice stay at Saronsberg! The cottage has everything that is needed to cook and a sack of wood is provided. A little cold in winter but with the inside braai the house is heated well. Saronsberg itself is very beautiful with delicious wine and is very close to the place for olive tasting as well. Lovely stay!
Hot water in the shower was boiling hot, you can turn it down a bit, just in case someone burns. The shower mats can also please replaced every day.
Would recommend to anyone just looking for a weekend getaway, not far from the city either.
Really enjoyed the accommodation, very neat and equipped with all the necessities.
When we arrived we saw there was no wood in the unit. We called the 24/7 number to talk to the manager on duty, but she didn't answer. It is a cellphone number so I also sent a message. I tried calling 5 times and decided to drive to town and buy wood later. The manager called back the following morning and told me she left the phone in the cellar overnight. The units are clean and neat, but smaller than they appear in the pics. And the units area also quite close to one another so if you need privacy this is not the place. The hot water also ran out on the morning we checked out. We tried saving water by taking quick showers, but the second person couldn't enjoy a full warm shower.
The weekend at Saronsberg Vineyard Cottages was exactly what we were looking for: tranquility, relaxed location and beautiful scenery everywhere you look. The cottage was perfect, clean and everything you need for a lovely weekend away. And of course Saronsberg has some of the best wines.
