The place was dirty. Linen stank. Feeling unsafe.

"Misperception, got different rooms than booked with only hot bath and good bed - the rest disappointing."

Upon our arrival at Savanna, I immediately realized that we were not being checked into the rooms and lodge that I had booked on the website. We were taken to another house behind the double storey. Guests who were there before us were checked into the rooms we booked. The house we were in is nice open and spacious, but without any cutlery, fridge, trash can or a set of keys for each. There are 3 rooms in the house, enough bathrooms and good beds. Lots of potential, but at this point I wouldn't recommend it at all. We got cold, it was -1 degrees, no extra blankets or heaters. Not enough towels or toilet paper. No attempt from the owner to attend to our complaints the next day. We were brought dirty cutlery the night we checked in, when we asked where the cutlery was. After that we never saw the owner again. The house's rubbish bags (our own Checkers bags - because there were no bins) - were not cleaned or thrown out at all in the 3 days we were there, also the dirty cutlery was left like that for 3 days they brought, after I requested that they wash it and bring enough for everyone. We could wash it, but there was only water, no rags, no nothing. If only we had been informed in advance, we could have known that we should have brought our own cutlery etc. Really hope the owner makes a plan, this could be a really nice guest house if they just put customer service first. It's definitely not a lodge, no breakfast that I know of, nor self-catering, as all you do have are bathroom facilities, a bed, bedding (just what's needed) and a kettle. We didn't want to use the stove either, didn't really have time or chance, because it was also dirty.

"Worst stay of my life."

Poor service provided by owner. Self-catering accommodation without a fridge, cutlery or any bins in or near the housing unit. Bathroom without a door. Dirty stove. Wall plugs that don't work. Dirty. Accommodation that looks nothing like the photos.
