15 guests' feedbackThis was our second stay at Scalarhoney Lodge. Love it for its remoteness and off the grid living! You have time to explore the hiking routes or just chill next to the river.
What an awesome destination, free from cell phones, TV, and WiFi. If that is your kind of weekend, you need to get away from the city life, it's here. You are right next to a river and the water rushing over the rocks will put you to sleep. The water from the river is the best drinking water I have ever tasted. Andre, the owner, with his second in command, takes care of everything. Thank you for everything. See you soon. PS: We need a few more markers for directions to the lodge.

What a wonderful privilege to be able to enjoy this "piece of heaven on earth". Breathtaking scenery where you can find yourself again and André's hospitality is a winning combination. We would definitely go again and can recommend it to young and old.
All I can say is if you need a good break to recharge, come here. Beautiful nature, peaceful and lots to explore. Winding down by a gorgeous babbling river and fire with stunning moon rises.
Now this is a location everyone should experience at least once in their lives. It is more off the grid, so come prepared. No signal, which is great as it allows you to fully be present and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views. Although there is WiFi access closer to the owners' relaxing pad, this is created for the people.

Little cabin in the woods with the best bed you've ever seen, cosy and cute and very hidden away.
Couldn't have asked for a better place to switch off. The waterfalls are a must to hike. Lots of climbing and wet. Still very nice.
You will not find more right in the middle of nature. Far away from everything. Stay by the river, go hiking, go swimming, barbecue, sleep snugly. Great place for couples! Owner incredibly friendly and helpful.
What an experience to be among the trees, right next to a rippling river in nature. Basic but neat accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The flush toilet among the bushes was now an experience like few. Thanks also to Brian for all the help.
Water! Tsitsikamma - place of many waters. Whether it's walking past the door of your place of residence or cooling off in one of the many pools of water. The waterfalls. Delicious!
