Each open-plan apartment can accommodate 1 or 2 some even 3 guests in a double bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The kitchenette is equipped with a 1 plate induction stove, a kettle, a microwave, cutlery and crockery, and a fridge, and the lounge area contains a leather couch and a Flat Screen TV with Premium package DSTV channels. Linen is also provided. Each apartment has a private entrance, and guests are welcome to make use of the communal swimming pool and braai facilities availability in garden area.
The apartments are situated approximately 15 minutes from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport and Walmer Park Shopping Centre. Guests can enjoy activities such as scenic walking trails, water-sport activities, and visiting game reserves in the surrounding area.

18 guests' feedbackGreat spot had unit B with awesome view over the coastline. Very neat and large fridge and TV with all channels. For the price you can't get much better than this. Shops are about 20 minutes away; however, Spar does deliver. Nice restaurant close by. The first day I could hear the radio from the person staying in unit A as there is a door separating the two units; however, you won't hear it if you aren't on the upper floor. The bathroom is on the lower floor, and the bed and kitchen area are on the upper floor. They should use different photos for the different apartments, but otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

The host allowed us to check in earlier. The rooms at Schoenmakerskop Self-catering Apartments were clean, although a bit stuffy. The bedding was clean and fresh. The views were beautiful in a quiet neighbourhood. It was raining and we brought meat to braai, but we were told not to move the braai undercover.
Parking is a problem on site.
Advance communication was good regarding location etc, but when we got there you felt like a criminal. A photo of your ID and car registration was taken and there were forms to fill out. The lady couldn't really say why, other than it is used to load on the group, but other than that no explanation. There were two bags of coffee, 2 bags of sugar and 2 bags of cremora in one room and the other had nothing. The fridge had to be turned on first. Other than the above, the rooms were clean and the place has a very nice view, but that's about it. The nearest place to eat is 15 to 20 minutes away. It would be nice if there was full disclosure so you know what you're in for if you book there.
Disappointed with no visitors allowed. All units need maintenance, decay.
Schoenmakerskop Self-catering Apartments are beautiful. Make time for hiking up the mountain.
The apartment we had was neat, well stocked with a mini kitchen /TV and well maintained. The service was friendly and to the point. The shower however had one door panel missing which tend to create a water hazard on the bathroom floor. The apartments at the back are small and suitable for sleeping, cleaning and grabbing some food to eat but not for an extended stay. It served us well because we came done for a sport event. The sound proofing between the apartments is not up to standard, we had to listen to our neighbour's music and karaoke attempts from 6 in the morning. Complaining did not do much to keep the noise down. These guests fortunately checked out at 10. I suspect the front apartments with a sea view will be better suited for a holiday and most likely less noisy. It is certainly a nice coastline to enjoy.
Spacious holiday accommodation.
Upon arrival, place didn't look too bad. But oh my, when we opened the bed to sleep in it was white bed linen filthy dirty. Call Dellmarie and ask for new bedding. She sends a lady to come and see but so unfit. We then move on to the next unit. The next morning at 8:25 it sounds like someone wants to knock down the door. The very lady who had to bring us clean bedding the night before but arrived with nothing: "You have to be out by 9h00 I want to clean the unit". Rude is not the word. According to booking, check-out time is 10H00. The upper floor has no power but the lower section had power in the morning. When we left the room, the guests were enjoying a nice cup of coffee. How do you explain it? I would not recommend this place to any guests at all. It was a nightmare from start to finish! Extremely disappointing!

Really enjoyed it, can suggest putting a comfortable chair in room D, space is limited but I think it would be great.
At a place where water is scarce, the hot water takes ages to come out the taps. The photos of the apartments are very misleading, as there are more than only one type of apartment.

I would stay at Schoenmakerskop again anytime. The place is very neat and the area is one of the most beautiful areas in P.E. The sea is right across the road. The stay was nice and everything was clean and tidy when we got there. Mr. Mulder went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.
We were met by a lovely, friendly face. The apartments were smaller than I expected, but were clean and had thoughtful inclusions like the ceiling fan, a full size fridge and extractor fans in kitchen area and bathroom. The mattress was comfortable and we appreciated our toddler being accommodated. Collection and return of keys was easy. Thanks for the stay.
