We stayed in the two bedroom apartment with our 2 sons. The place was nice and spacious for our family and we had a great time swimming.
We had a really nice stay. The decoder just didn't work. It wasn't a big problem for us, but might be for someone else. I will definitely stay there again. There is enough space to keep small children busy.

Master bedroom and children's room with 2 single beds, nice and cozy living room and could make good use of the kitchen. Schroderhuis Guest House will see us again, then we will grill in the well-equipped patio grill.

Very neat place, rooms very good, unfortunately it is opposite the N14 and the front rooms only hear the road noise throughout the night, otherwise we highly recommend it.

I would like to see more braai facilities made available. Sometimes you have to braai early to accommodate the others and it's not always nice to braai early. But it was nice, will go again.
Hot water takes very long to come through and big negative point is no deodorizer in bathroom.

We had a great stay at Schroderhuis. A little noisy with the main road running pass the guest house with big trucks through the night. Maybe some update on self catering utensils.
Unfortunately, there was another group of guests who made a lot of noise and hung out until 03:00 in the morning. Tried calling but no one responded to the request to try and shut them up - get the idea no staff stay on site themselves and so requests go unheeded. The air conditioner in the family room also dripped onto the bed at night. Otherwise a clean facility.
Staff is friendly, pool clean, wood ready for the barbecue fire. Aircon was great! Clean and tidy, would definitely stop there again for a night or 4.

Our stay was really nice. The air conditioning was a nice extra to have in the heat. Would have liked to have been able to have breakfast, but as the guest house was almost empty, breakfast was not available. We were also "double booked". I originally asked for the 2 bedroom family apartment but upon arrival was told someone else got it. Would definitely recommend it. The pool's water was delicious and the pool clean!
All very well with 2 incidents that bother. My room was left open after it was cleaned and anyone could walk in. At 12 o'clock at night, another visitor woke me up in a drunken state looking for someone who had parked him. Sufficient parking is a problem.
The guest house is perfectly placed.
No provision has been made for load shedding; no flashlights or candles or anything. Since everyone is aware of the fact of load shedding, I would think the owners should have at least come and investigate after their guests sat in the pitch dark for 3 hours. Otherwise helpful.
My daughter and I did a trail trip and also went to visit family on a farm outside Upington. Upon arrival, we are told that we are booked in the other guest house, two blocks away. There was absolutely no mention on the internet of another guest house. We chose the place because of the interior and the pool. But the other place doesn't have a pool. The receptionist was extremely inept and didn't want to know anything about them who might have made a mistake. There was a heated argument and we just had to accept the matter as it was. At least later they allowed us to go swimming there and also offered a free breakfast. I would not recommend the place in any way. They will need to make their website clearer to indicate the distinction.
It's a modern place. The room is equipped with everything you need.
Although the accommodation was great, we expected more from the self-catering part. There was e.g. items such as a bread knife and other cutlery or plates are not available, only one teaspoon. There was also no fresh milk for the coffee. We chose not to have breakfast the next morning, so cannot comment on that.
We enjoyed walking into such a beautiful place. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, it's nice to cool down a bit in the Northern Cape's heat. The rooms are top quality.
