Leaks are relative. It's my first overnight stay in Lichtenburg for a long time, so I can't compare it to other places' leaks. By the way, good mattress and good sleep thank you. Suggestions: The water in the shower/sink/bathroom takes a long time to heat up, so a lot of water is wasted. The fridge may have been turned off, but certainly not cold enough.

Everything was so nice and clean, good quality bed, bedding etc. Kitchen nicely furnished. Sorry we couldn't stay longer and the sherry was "welcome icing on the cake"!
It's a neat and clean guest house in a quiet neighborhood, and it was the only one open just before Christmas. However, we are used to guesthouses that maintain the same standard for R 1000 per night less. Let alone the R 100 extra for air conditioning.
I can definitely recommend this guesthouse. Their hospitality is of high quality. We could not eat breakfast and they packed us the most delicious food parcels. This is a must for any guest who wants to stay. Absolutely worth every cent.
The guesthouse and garden are beautiful. Spacious rooms that are very well equipped. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Staff are very helpful and professional. Coming from Gauteng, safety is our priority and the guest house fulfills this perfectly. Would definitely stay there again and would happily recommend.
Although more expensive than most other accommodation options available in Lichtenburg (R1,280 per night for a single person), the suites are truly beautiful, clean and elegantly decorated and generously proportioned. As a single traveler, I felt completely safe and secure parking is available for vehicles. However, on arrival I was (incorrectly) informed that my booking/rate did not include breakfast, but that it was available at a further cost of R135. I received a note early the following morning confirming the error, but by then it was too late as I had made arrangements to check-out extra early as I wasn't staying and paying an additional fee for breakfast. Would I stay at Scott's Manor again? Absolutely.
Only problem with our room was that you pay R1600 per night and there is no air conditioning in the room, just an industrial fan that blows you off the bed.
Had a very pleasant experience. A very nice decor, an extremely pleasant hostess, a very good kitchen, extremely competent and helpful staff and an atmospheric pleasant room with all the luxuries. What more could one want?
