The view is breathtaking to say the least. The cottage was clean and exactly what you need to get away from life for a few days. It is equipped with everything you would need to use at home - very homely feel. Shops are within reach with a decent range of groceries. I didn't feel like I had to travel far to get essentials. You are close enough to sightseeing destinations to go on a day's outing and still return to your little slice of heaven. Extremely quiet surroundings and a lovely space for my little furbaby to be in the little garden out front.

The location was beautiful, a few short steps from the dunes and beach. Watching seagulls dropping mussels on the road to open them was very entertaining. The apartment itself was very cleverly planned out. Perfect for 2 people with a lovely view of the ocean. The bed was very comfy, as was the large couch. Our hostess was friendly and kind. We will definitely return to this little gem.

This was the best holiday stay ever. With the morning sea breeze/birds singing was awesome. Just a suggestion. Some of the plants in front of the window are a bit high - takes the beautiful view in front of the window away. But overall this was my best holiday destination!

Private apartment on ground level of private house. Beautiful view over a nature reserve on the sea and Dasseneiland. Walk the path all along the sea to the port. Good base for visiting West Coast National Park and Darling. Free WiFi and no load shedding.

Items such as blitz, coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper which are usually minimally needed are usually available at other institutions and would have made the stay easier even if it is minimal especially if you arrive at the accommodation late at night. Egg spatula and cutlery can be upgraded. The stay was very nice and the solar and DStv are a plus. The weekend away was still great, thanks to the friendly team.

No dishcloth in the kitchen. A top sheet on the bed is a must when the weather is warm. The bed was too soft, but I accept this is a personal preference. I'm not used to sleeping on a foam mattress that has become very soft. I'd definitely book this studio again for its location and amazing views. We saw the most spectacular sunsets on both evenings. The price was also reasonable.

Inside the studio, replacing the armchair with a small table with two chairs for a meal would be great during the winter months.

They could replace the 1 couch with a dining table with 2 chairs, my vehicle is basically in the way and, yes, loadshedding was a headache but you pay R1700 basically just to sleep.

We really enjoyed the two night break at Sea Cottage! The owners received us very kindly. The cute apartment consists of a spacious room with a kitchen corner. It has a large double bed and plenty of seating. The entire one wall is made of glass, so that one has a nice view of the sea and the beautiful garden. However, the curtains are thick if one wants to keep out light to nap. The separate bathroom is spacious, with a large bath and shower. The kitchenette has a large fridge with a freezer compartment. We didn't use the stovetop, but the spacious microwave is very useful. There are all the necessary cutlery and kitchen accessories. Two cute rechargeable lamps for load shedding are provided. Near the outdoor barbecue there is a table and chairs under cover overlooking the sea. The parking is on a part of the plot which is located against the road. However, there are bright street lights in front of the house. The apartment is also pet friendly - arrange in advance with the owner. The biggest advantage is the beautiful view of the sea - even when you are lying on the bed. Diagonally across the road there is a short footpath that leads through wildflowers to the small beach with two couches. We had a great time staying at Sea Cottage and would definitely like to go again.

I loved the French doors opening up the full width of the front so that I could lie in bed and listen to the waves, smell the sea, and gaze out over the ocean. I felt very safe there too. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is good (water takes a while to heat up). I like that there is a good size fridge (not a bar fridge). The braai is a decent size but a good idea to bring your preferred braai tongs. Sitting inside or outside, either choice is lovely.

The studio flat was ideal for our purpose, comfortable bed, a braai, good quality self-catering equipment, lovely bath and shower, and within sight, sound and smell of the sea. Jenni was always quick to respond to any questions via WhatsApp, but we enjoyed total privacy - we barely knew that anyone else was on the premises.
