Excellent amenities. Most beautiful view. Very cozy. Nice barbecue.
Linda and the host were exceptional hosts. Unit 2 was very neat, clean and tidy. Apart from the usual amenities that you would expect from a self-catering unit, the hosts went the extra mile. From the iron, ironing board and clothes horse to the extra toilet paper and hairdryer. Except for the usual tea and coffee available, there were 3 brands of coffee to choose from, not to mention the filter coffee and plunger, the 500ml milk instead of the usual pods. 2 bottles of water in the fridge plus filled ice trays. There was Doom, Peaceful Sleep spray and spritz and a wall plug-in. Everything in the unit matched and was in sets, no odd bits and pieces. There was more than enough warm bedding provided. The braai area had your grid, stand, tongs, brush, fire starters and lighters plus braai wood to get your fire going. I would definitely recommend Sea La Vie to anyone.
Life is dirty - you just have to be a dirty person who lives in dirty places. Of everywhere we have ever visited, this place is tops - friendly people, excellent location, spotlessly clean and oh yes - the view over the West Coast - sea as wide as our Dear Father's grace!

Linda and Berlouw are extremely pleasant and let you do your own thing. Everything in the two units is brand new, spotless and working. We experienced no load shedding. The location and accompanying view of Sea La Vie is absolutely incredible! The unit was clean, neat, and very comfortable. The host has thoughtfully provided all sorts of kitchen utilities, and we had everything we needed and more.
Waking up every morning to the peaceful sound of the sea and singing of little birds. Easy blissful walks along the sea. Paternoster about half an hour's drive for a delicious meal by the sea. In the evening, the sun sets right in front of the person who makes the most beautiful painting while the fire crackles in the background.
Linda welcomed us kindly. Excellent accommodation, 5-star quality. We got more than we expected. Will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I spent two nights at Sea La Vie and had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the en-suite bathroom had everything you needed although it was on the small side. The covered braai area was great and had a beautiful view of the sea so we spent a lot of time out there.
A nice break away for no more than 2 to 3 nights. Unit is a bit small and staying on the same property as the landlord. However, more suitable for an older couple. On arrival, we were told to keep an eye out for strange characters roaming around and breaking into cars, but our stay was safe.

Our host and wife received us very kindly in a very neat, well located unit. The blue, sea view and beautiful walking paths with the background of the West Coast's beautiful sunset almost surprised us. Good advice and lots of help made our stay an absolute success. Got full marks from us.

Sugarbills in the garden, flocks of seabirds on the rocks by the sea, diver tracks on the sandy paths between the endemic fynbos.

Two wonderful days on Jacobs Bay in Sea La Vie. Beautiful ocean view (even saw whales from our porch). It was lovely to explore the many footpaths along the sea in peace. Will definitely be back. It was great not to be shrouded in darkness during load shedding. The village has its own solar power that provides power 24/7! Conveniently close to all the West Coast attractions.
Cleanest establishment we have ever stayed at. Every nook and cranny was impeccably clean- not a grain of sand on the floor, and that's what it should be like for a beach property! Linda and Berlo are engaging and friendly hosts. The place is private, safe and lovely close to the sea. Delightful getaway for 2 - with peace and quiet that is missing in a resort or larger place. The silence and tranquility was wonderful for us. Will definitely stay there again if we go there again.

This is a return visit. Sea La Vie has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The bed, shower and all kitchen equipment are of high standard and good quality. Thoughtful, helpful touches (iron and small ironing board) really helpful as we had come up for a birthday event! Will stay even longer next time.

Not only is the location of the rooms fantastic, but they have gone to great lengths to make it feel comfortable and homey. There was milk and water in the fridge. Coffee, tea, sugar and even biscuits! The bathroom has soap (and think shampoo) and 2 layers of toilet paper available for guests. a hair dryer was in the closet. The king bed was heavenly. There was even wood, flash and matches to make a fire. It is so peaceful there. I will definitely go back there again. What an incredible time we had.

Sea la vie is a beautiful weekend getaway, so beautiful, clean, equipped with everything we could ask for. It really is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. Will definitely go there again and stay longer. The unit is walking distance from the sea, has its own barbecue area on the veranda. Linens are soft and clean, and there was plenty of storage space for all our luggage. Such a special place, fantastic owners and management.
One of two neat and modern self-catering units with own braai facilities in Jacobsbaai (Bamboosbaai). Excellent sea front location with views to the sea. Enjoy delicious seafood and also pizza at Weskusplek Restaurant which is within walking distance along the coast or only a short car ride by road. Weskus Mall in Vredenburg is conveniently close for shopping at Woolworths, Pick n Pay, restaurants and so on.

The accommodation has everything one needs and is modern, clean and very comfortable. We were received very well and were immediately made to feel welcome. Everything you need from milk to braai wood is provided. The beautiful view of the sea is wonderful and immediately relaxes you. There are several footpaths that run along the sea and which are wonderful to walk in the early morning and late afternoon. The environment is quiet and really rests for the soul away from the city rush. We stayed overnight for two nights and not only explored Jacobs Bay, but also the surrounding area properly. We also visited Paternoster, Saldanha Bay and Velddrif. We will definitely recommend Sea La Vie to family and friends and will definitely go back..

Nice stay, just a bit small for a family with 1 child. It is perfect for 2 people. They may put an extra set of kitchenware in the room. E.g. an extra knife, fork, spoon, glass and plate. When you cook you still need a knife or a plate to work in.

The unit (2) is incredibly beautiful and tidy. Everything we are used to at home and therefore the reason for choice. Want to say again the unit and setting are fantastic, but very disappointed that the sea is shown on pictures, but there is no beach. Furthermore, the grill was terribly dirty and did not enjoy cleaning other people's grease and dirt.

It was our first visit to Jacobs Bay. Our pleasant experience of the stay, makes it the forerunner of more visits. The tranquility of the surroundings and the location of the house make it a choice place for a rest, walk and observation break.
The place was very neat and clean with all the right equipment. The location was perfect. The internet connection was only slightly delayed, but that's not a complaint because you're not supposed to be on a mobile phone on holiday. It was a very nice visit and I wish we could have stayed longer.
The location and style of accommodation suited us well, and we enjoyed getting to know the area, particularly driving the surrounding little roads to view the flowers or to get to the sea.

Quaint village with many paths along the waterfront on which one can walk, run or ride. Clambering on the rocks is fun too. The bird life in and around Jacob's Bay also very good.

We booked both units. It was perfect so that we could hang out as friends when we wanted, but also have our own privacy when needed. The units were well equipped and comfortable. But the best is the location - nice sea view with green strip between the housing and the sea. A nice getaway place!
