Seas the Sun is a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom self-catering beach house situated on a peaceful nature reserve 15 minutes from the centre of Hermanus. It's a 2 min walk to the beach and lagoon or swimming pool. Ideal for couples or families of 4, very well equipped and comfortably furnished. It has a private garden and parking, and the secure estate offers a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a kiddies' play area and a convenience store with delicious meals.
The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, its own flat-screen TV and a large en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has 2 single beds that can be converted to a king-size bed on request. The second bathroom has a bath with hand shower and toilet.
The cosy kitchen is very well equipped with an electric stove and oven, microwave, and fridge with a freezer. Complimentary tea, coffee, rusks and chocolate on arrival. The open-plan living and dining area features another TV, couches, comfy chairs and a dining suite, plus free uncapped Wi-Fi at 2mbps. Netflix and YouTube are available or bring your own downloaded entertainment. A gas heater is available for chilly winter nights and mobile fans in summer. The veranda has a built-in braai area, with outdoor chairs and a table to enjoy the view, sound and smell of the sea, and our friendly garden birds.
There is a small inverter that will keep the lights, TVs and Wi-Fi working during load shedding. Please do not use any other appliances during this time.

Had so much fun. Will definitely go back with my children. They love horses, and the wild horses around there will make their day every day!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The setting is just perfect. Most incredible scenery and especially the sunsets, they will not be forgotten. We had the most relaxing time. Lori was a fantastic host. Really recommend Seas the Sun.
Nice close to the Estuary, can walk through to the other island at low tide, but keep your towel high and glasses high. Saw many horses.
I had a great time, the house was perfect and the views was amazing. Owner Lori kept in touch the whole time and made the stay very warm and welcoming.

A very cosy and comfortable cottage. The host is wonderful and close proximity to the sea. Very good for children, horses and ducks.
Seas the Sun is definitely value for money. Felt welcome from the moment we walked in and felt like our home away from home. Very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the birds that came early in the morning to say tomorrow and the children enjoyed feeding them. Really a lovely place close to everything. We loved walks and the beach, bird life, kayaking and slow evenings. We had it in abundance at Seas the Sun. We will definitely be back. A two-night weekend was too short.
We had a wonderful time. The space was neat and adequate. It was our first holiday with our 3 month old baby. We had no regrets. Everything we needed was there, a lovely space, nice pool, secluded and tranquil. We definitely coming back.
Everything is clean and tidy. Kitchen has everything needed and the location is good for beach, as well as pool.
The accommodation is located in a good location. Atmosphere very nice and peaceful. Could see the sea from the porch and there are many birds that we fed. Would recommend anytime.
Our stay at Seas the Sun exceeded our expectations. Located near the mouth of the Bot River estuary on the eastern side, the chalet is in a secure, well-maintained estate. We spent a long weekend there with our daughter and son-in-law. The chalet had everything we needed, with two bathrooms, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, two lounges and a covered patio with a built-in braai and shelter from the southeasterly wind. The garden was full of birds that we fed with the supplied birdseed and very small pieces of cheese! Favourites included a very tame fiscal flycatcher, an olive thrush, two Cape robin-chats and a family of Cape spurfowl (francolins). The clear water of the estuary was a five-minute walk away, as was the beach. Although the beach is not suitable for swimming, Onrus Beach is just a 15-minute drive away. We arranged through Lori, the owner, to hire the two waveskis that are kept at the chalet, and members of the group enjoyed paddling on the estuary. Each evening we walked down to the estuary to enjoy the spectacular sunsets. We would unreservedly recommend Seas the Sun for people wanting a restful getaway in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
Lori, welcomed us after our booking was cancelled by another place. She really went out of her way to accommodate us at a really bad time. The place is on a lagoon and the sound of the ocean was so peaceful. The accommodation itself was more than I expected it was just the right size for a family with young children.
The property has all you could need to have a relaxing time with your family. My boys loved it!
The house is is cosy and has everything you need. It is safe and the location is great. My 5 year old twin girls enjoyed feeding the birds and going to the play area. The beach and lagoon is in walking distance. We really want to go back. Thank you, Lori.

Had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Seeing the ocean and hearing the waves was so relaxing. Our kids enjoyed the beaches and activities.
Lori was always assisting and communicating to ensure all is in place. The accommodation was very clean and even bird seed provided for all the birds that were so tamed that they came within meters of us relaxing on the porch.

The cottage is well equipped and ideally located. (Especially for bird watchers.) Lori, the owner and Jenny, the caretaker were very friendly and provided us with everything we needed, even bird seed to feed the birds.

Beautiful place with everything you may need. Extra blankets and towels even heaters and electric blankets for the winter chill! Safe area. Close to the beach. Private braai and wi-fi. Sleep with the sound of the waves in you ears. You will not regret it!
