118 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful stay. The host is very friendly, and the accommodation is on the very bottom level on its own, so you don't feel like you're moving into each other's space. And of course the lower level has the lawn with the beautiful view of Glencairn's beach! The host's Yorkie, Blackberry, who occasionally comes to say hello, was also a nice "treat" for our children.
From arrival to departure, an absolute pleasure. Beautiful setting and close to everything you need. Definitely going back.

Sweet and spacious flat in a wonderful Glencairn location with an amazing view. I wanted to sit on the patio all day and stare at the ocean! The owners were friendly and welcoming, and the flat contained everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it!

Wonderful open plan accommodation, very clean with all accessories. The view is incredible. Vehicle does have to stand in the road, but it is a dead end street and very safe. Will definitely come back.

On arrival, we were greeted by an employee of the establishment. What a friendly-natured lady with a very welcoming smile! After offering to take our overnight bags, she quickly headed downstairs to ensure we could enjoy the wonderful view on offer, which is amazing. It's a shame our stay was only one night, but it was a perfect night indeed.
The beds and linen were comfortable and inviting. Only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel provided for a family of 3. Would be nice to have matching crockery and more cooking utensils. A TV in the bedroom would be an excellent addition. Did have a few fleas on the outside couch which needs to be resolved asap.
We made it work, it was comfortable, and the views are stunning. Otherwise, no formal greeting or showing around, only a domestic worker who was not aware of our arrival or which room. Dusty blinds on windows. Some pots, pans and crockery not there or not properly cleaned. Odd collection of crockery & cutlery. Dstv signal intermittent. No heater of any kind. Sticky and difficult to open and close bathroom door. No light on outside approach steps at night. Once beautiful garden now sadly neglected. No braai. No floor mop. No lid on bin. No visitor booklet or instructions. Wifi slow and weak, only good for cell phone and ordinary internet browsing. No streaming or cloud work.
This is the beauty of life. The best holiday accommodation ever.

We were warmly received even though we landed late. Had a wonderful stay. Unit is very neat and clean and well equipped. Would love to visit again.

Very cute place. All that one needs. Note that this is a completely open plan unit - kitchen, dining room and beds are in 1 room. Incredible view, couches outside are lovely to sit on and watch the sea. DStv didn't work, and after reporting it to owner twice, my messages were just ignored. Although the unit is very close to the beach, it is located against a very steep hill. I didn't see a chance to walk up.
Slept three nights. Well equipped. If I have to criticize: need new patio furniture. Will stay there again.
When required, was most ready to assist with help and advice. Views of the bay are spectacular.

Safe location with a good view, very peaceful, comfortable bed and furniture, but needs some maintenance work on the terrace in particular and a general coat of paint. Host was not there to welcome us and show us the entrance and there was no courtesy call. Spoke to the wife about cleanliness who took a defensive/aggressive line. Not a big issue but with a bit of extra effort to the overall look and feel and cleanliness the place could be very good. Nice sized apartment for 2 people.

I booked on short notice. The place was neat and the chocolate was delicious with my little wine. Best view of the sea.
I really enjoyed my 4 days at Seascape. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Only problem I had was that the lady who opened the door didn't know about my booking. I had to wait outside until she could get hold of the owner of Seascape to confirm.
The mountain road there almost gave me a heart attack, but once you ride the ups and downs a few times it gets better!
View was amazing, but was a bit disappointed with accommodation.

Seascape is exceptional. In hospitality, views, value for money etc. I often live in guesthouses in the area and can definitely recommend Seascape.
Breathtaking view and tranquility.

The owner sent us the following message: "I will put you in a large apartment. The apartment has a double bed. There is a sea view. Front door braai. DStv and WiFi are free. The apartment is cleaned free of charge". I booked and paid. We arrive at 16:57, check in time is 14:00. There is no one at home. I call Altus and he does not know that we are checking in today, and asked in which room we stay. I take a screenshot of the discussion and send it to him. He comes back to me and says it's just a misunderstanding, but he's in traffic and will only be able to be there in an hour, and that there is someone else in the apartment and that he has to move the person first and clean the apartment. So we have to go somewhere and wait for them to be ready (that's now after we were on the road for 500 km). They were ready at 18:46. On Thursday afternoon, Altus came to hear if we were going out the next day, and that there was another outstanding amount (we made the payment immediately). We confirmed the payment upon which he just let us understand what bargain we got, and that we weren't supposed to stay in the apartment, he had to move people to put us in the apartment and we also need to know that we won't get the apartment for that price again. It was advertised like that on the site. I did not ask for the apartment, he offered it!?

I think the self-catering flat is quite comfy for a family of four breaking away to the sea for a few days. It's neat, clean, well equipped and even has DStv for the kids while the parents sit on the stoep taking in the magnificent view of False Bay. The pleasures of Simonstown and Kalk Bay is minutes away. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. What else can I say? It's a real good deal.

Beautiful sea view. Calm and quiet. Owner, Altus very friendly and stopped by often with his evening routine of watering plants. Apartment spacious and ideal for two people. Tasteful, well appointed with the basic necessities and even cleaning supplies. Cleaners were in the unit regularly and towels were changed. Problems: Kitchen sink faucet is loose. Shower curtain needs to be cleaned regularly (unfortunately the downside of a shower curtain). Bath and sink exhaust pipe must also be cleaned regularly (hair and tackle). No bathroom mat. Suggestions: Brush to clean fryer. WiFi would be welcome. Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing sea and mountain view. The guesthouse is very comfortably situated. Kalk Bay, Simon's Town and other beaches and restaurants are just around the corner. The owners are very hospitable and we will definitely go back.

The cottage is conveniently situated with a beautiful view. Everything that is required is supplied. The cottage is secure and the safety gate makes it possible to sleep with the sliding door open. The stairs to the cottage are rather steep and may be a problem for people with a walking problem. We only spent one night at the cottage and will consider staying there again.
Parking in the street, but safe. Whales right in front of us were special. All we wanted as we were out during the day and only slept there in the evenings.

The view over the sea is breathtaking and the cool breeze made sure that we didn't get too hot. It is also well located and close to the other small coastal towns, Simonstad, Kalkbaai etc. I would recommend it anytime.

We were very pleasantly surprised when arriving at Seascape. Altus offered us a warm welcome and was available for any questions during our stay that may arise. The beds for our little children were already prepared. The kitchen was very complete. The house is small, but we felt at home. The location is very good if you want to spend a few days exploring the Cape Peninsula (close to Simon's Town, close to Noordhoek/Hout Bay and close to Cape Point).

No parking facilities but car quite safe. Apartment very well equipped. Unfortunately no TV after reporting it 2 times. Altus just saw when we got there, there were electrical problems that needed to be sorted out. Then only seen again in the morning when we got into our vehicle. Second unit terribly cramped. Couldn't sit there and visit at all. Luckily we had fantastic weather. Just one day of rain.
The management of the guesthouse leaves much to be desired. Reservations and requests are not priorities for management. Parking is outside on the street. There are numerous developments in the adjacent area with dust, noise and builders everywhere.
Altus let us know, a day before we had to check in, that he would have to move our booking to a different location. He prioritised another longer booking of 10 days over our booking that was already made 3 months in advance. We never saw Altus while we were there. The place we stayed was behind a sand dune close to a busy traffic light. The paint in this accommodation was so fresh that we could hardly bear it. I tried calling Altus, but he never answered his phone, poor service!

Altus communicated with us the entire time leading up to our arrival. The flowers, coffee, milk, biscuits and a chocolate for each of us when we got there made it extra special. The hospitality and personal service and view was breathtaking. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

We lived in the bottom unit. Was worried at first that the visibility wouldn't be good, but all our fears were gone when we got there. Excellent sea view. Neat and spacious living area for four, but unfortunately open plan. We additionally rented the small apartment next door for the children and Mom and Dad's privacy problem was solved. Altus came by regularly and if there was anything wrong it was addressed immediately. The guests' comfort is always put first. Thank you for the snacks and small gifts that brightened our day every now and then. Already booked for next year and God willing we will be back same time, same place!

The location of the house is very nice. On arrival, the place was still not clean and we had to clean it ourselves. The second sleeping place is in the living room and makes it very cramped. A cupboard for the guests would be of great help.
