We really enjoyed staying there. It is safe, peaceful and we were able to relax wonderfully. The owners checked in regularly to hear if everything was still okay. Will definitely stay there again.

Very nice stay, thank you. However, I would have felt safer if my motor vehicle could have slept inside the yard. Nicely located near the beach. Takeaway meals were within a few minutes drive. We would definitely recommend this place and use it again in the future.
Beautiful view, short and easy walking distance to the sea. Apartment itself is beautiful and well furnished with the porch which is sheltered from the wind. Only criticism is that the description has secure parking as one of the features and you park on a patch of grass opposite the unit which is open to the public. There are cameras and a CCTV monitoring sign, but I feel the parking situation just needs to be highlighted more clearly for travelers to make their own choice as to whether they consider it safe. Otherwise, both Seaside Shambali and Gonubie are just a festival.

Gem of a place. It was the perfect stay. Beautiful view of the sea and beach. Our apartment was perfect. Everything we needed and more. The owner went out of her way to make us feel at home and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very quiet, private and clean. The most beautiful little private beach with rocks on both sides. We love the place and will definitely stay here again.
Well equipped unit that is pet friendly with a beautiful view.
A positive was that the unit was very close to the beach. Some negatives were: there was an unpleasant smell in the unit, the couch in the lounge smelled like a dog, the kitchen cloths smelled like spoiled milk, and the toilet smelled like urine when flushed.
We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. Pleasant hosts and so good to fall asleep with the sound of waves breaking.
Seaside Shambali is at the sea. Not only do you hear the washing of the rocks, you also feel the love of the ocean.
Nice stay. My only comment is that the bedside lights did not work and that the curtain in the bedroom is a sheer transparent white, and the morning sunshine glares through it. I would put a dark curtain there. Also, quite a few small cockroaches in the utensils drawer. The beach needs a clean, there is a lot of debris on the beach including glass.
The place has so much potential! We enjoyed a beautiful view from our room and the host is very helpful, she checked in all the time. Our unit just felt a little neglected. Some of the cutlery was unbreakable or rusted and the wooden bench on the porch only had a seat on one side. The other side was broken off, so we couldn't use the bench together. These are small things, but they still have an impact on the experience. This comment only applies to our unit and I just want to emphasize again that I think the place has a lot of potential.
Very unfriendly hostess. Keys of gate and doors in extremely poor condition. Sink plug in flat 1 broken. No duvet, no barbecue, 1 wine glass, TV not working in flat 3.

We booked 2 flats, they're both a lot bigger than expected. Beautifully done out with everything you need. No. 1 has the best braai area. Location cannot be beaten, right on the shoreline.

Went for walks and runs along the beach front to the main beach. Water was dirty only because of all the floods - but otherwise a beautiful area. We fished and caught / also have shells on the beach in front.

Owners were very friendly and hospitable. The only negative was that the front patio at the entrance of the unit was very dusty upon arrival and could not be used. It was cleaned 2 days later.

Clean and tidy with everything you need in the kitchen. All problem was that there was no DSTV available. As we are elderly persons, we prefer DSTV and not Netflix etc. no, but it wasn't a big problem.
Our week at Seaside Shambali was fantastic. Everything was incredibly neat with privacy that can be found in few accommodations. It takes you out of the busy part of town where you can sit and spend quality time with loved ones while looking out over the sea. We could see whales and dolphins from our porch. Seaside Shambali will definitely see us again!

The place in East London was in a really poor area and Sharon immediately helped us with a place with them when we contacted them through the website out of desperation. Thoroughly recommendable!

Having the sea view was definitely a benefit of the unit.
Lovely place to stay. Silver clean, comfortable, modern. A stone's throw from the beach, with beautiful shells. Concerned hostess who made sure everything was ok and allowed us to check in a few hours earlier. Parking not behind a gate, but right in front of a security camera, had no problems.

Ideal for young people and fishermen.
There was no coffee, tea, sugar or milk put out. No soap or shampoo in bathroom. There were small bottles of shower gel and hand wash cleaner in the bathroom for less than one use and only one roll of toilet paper. There was no personal meeting with the owner. Someone did meet us in the street to tell us to drive around to the back of the house and said the keys were under a rock when we got there. We had to find our unit ourselves using the keys. No meals are provided as the owner informs us. communicated in a WhatsApp message. Her assistant who she said would help us with any help was nowhere to be seen. Otherwise the unit was clean and tidy. We were quite disappointed.
Customer service was great. We immediately felt at home. It was like our own home for a few days in another province.
