Centrally located, neat and comfortable. There were only a few coffee bags, no sugar, tea or milk. Busy with renovation work and workers started working in front of our door and windows at half past 8 without warning, it was annoying and frustrating. Otherwise nice stay.
We had a sports weekend at Hartenbos Primary School and the place was very centrally located, we could walk everywhere. We didn't realize that there wouldn't be bath towels but luckily packed swimming towels. The unit, although centrally located, is very noisy due to the main street but given the price we paid the unit was perfect. May I suggest possibly adding a pan and scissors to unit.
Comfortable holiday accommodation. The unit offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. Big plus is the location. Walking distance to the beach, shops and amusement park. I would definitely recommend Seavwiew Lodge.

Seaview Lodge might consider paying more attention to security gates. People can easily walk into the gate and access the cars parked outside the units. Unfortunately, the first night we barbecued outside we had a beggar who upset us a little. The children were also quite restless that night about the strange uncle who came to ask for money.
What was nice: The location is fantastic, it's walking distance from the Hartenbos Seafront with everything you need. The place is newly redone so everything was nice and modern and clean. Secure parking, secure with anti-theft and a gate at the sliding door. The shower itself is nice and big, but the water pressure is weak. Furthermore, it is nicely furnished with everything we needed with the exception of scissors and barbecue tongs. There are even tupperware bowls and glass bowls and a braai bowl, porridge bowls, glasses, wine glasses. There was even a sponge, Sunlight, some coffee goodies, a small container of salt and pepper and so on. A big positive was that we never had loadshedding, there is some form of backup so everything runs even if there is loadshedding. To an induction stove with a kettle. Then, if you are not going to be at the apartment much, this is the perfect place for you, but for us who wanted to do something of everything outside the house and then want to be quiet at home and drink coffee on the porch, then unit 6 (where we stayed) not for you (not all units seem to be the same so maybe try one of the others). And then, what was not nice: The gate used by all the rear units is directly at your front door and porch. It was like a train station during the day. Between the cleaners and other guests there is always up and down and in your face and the gate is being thrown shut all the time. It was not private at all in our experience. The apartment is also dark except for the sliding door and bedroom window that faces the road because you have to keep the curtains and the front door closed because you have people walking by or looking in all the time. And if you sit on the stoep there are always people walking right in your face because the gate is right next to the stoep. If they had just built a small wall or something that at least separated the gate and the porch a little, then it would have been a little better and more private. We were there at a busy time (Matriek Bay on Mossel Bay), so that didn't help.
A lot of noise due to repairs being done. I had to go out at half past 12 in the evening to silence guests among us who were hanging out outside. Unit needs a new bed. (Layed out) Vehicle not safe outside either.

Beautiful apartment and walking distance from all the fun things! Aunt Cornel was very friendly and made us feel very much at home.
Quality and cleanliness are top notch in the apartments. Only the iron is short in the apartment. Quite necessary for general holiday accommodation. Or mention it for the future and guests can bring one with them.
The road was busy, especially at night and in the morning. Other than that, it was very nice.

Just renewed in a modern jacket, we immediately felt at home right on the doorstep of Hartenbos' heart. We could walk where we wanted to be without having to look for parking. In the evening, if you close the doors and draw the curtains, you don't hear street sounds at all, only the sea. Apartment is very well equipped, although at the time of our visit a stove had not yet been installed, we could see they were in the process of doing so. We didn't use the private braai area, but definitely would have liked to have stayed longer.
Will make sure that all electronic equipment such as fans cord can reach the electrical point otherwise it is pointless to mount it on the wall. Consider a drop box for keys since there is no office on site, especially for guests who want to leave early. Also avoid apartment units 5 & 6 the people above have no respect for those below them. It sounded like every day when they are there until about 10pm the furniture is moved around and from about 6am in the morning it's just their day.
I gladly recommend the accommodation.
We have stayed at Seaview Lodge before. I think there are new owners because everything has been redone, brand new, so it was really nice to live there. The hostess may be able to pass on the arrangements to guests such as where to get key and where to leave key with just 1 message. I had to call each time for the information.

The ad is misleading. We were under the impression that the house is rented out and not rooms. We were also in the back of a small corridor down to our rooms, as I call it in the back of the backyard. There were people checking in next to us on Saturday and they were loud. Ugly talking and loud talking and laughing while they barbecue outside. We had to keep our kids inside the room because there was dirty talk. In general, the accommodation was very neat, but very small. There was no secure parking for our cars and no allocated parking.
People (suspected to be home owner's children) were making noise until what time of night.

Apartment is not child-friendly, there are many stairs. Kettle was leaking, so we couldn't make coffee. No detergent or cloths to clean the kitchen.
I was just concerned about the safety of our motorcycles. Motorcycles are being stolen on a large scale and the parking at Seaview Lodge is open to any miscreant to do mischief.
Seaview Lodge is extremely well located, walking distance from everything. Children just can't play outside as all entrances are open, no car gates that close. Felt a little unsafe. Our sliding glass door was not attached to the frame either. Furthermore, everything was nice and clean.
The place was very neat and clean and the location is great, walking distance from the beach front. The kitchen cabinets, although clean and tidy, did look like they wouldn't last very long. For us, who basically just needed a place to sleep, it was ideal.
The name Seaview is misleading, there is no sea view. You can tell it's budget accommodation, but hell, at least there are standards! It should actually be advertised as backpacker accommodation. The building will definitely not pass an electrical inspection.
Key broke in lock,first night, contacted owner, still waiting. Our door stood open Saturday and Sunday.night.
The apartment was clean and comfortable. But there is where the convenience ended. The shower is a problem. The water keeps getting cold and hot. I recommend that they install separate hot water cells for the units. The parking was also a problem. I suggest that they rotate the shade net so that the vehicles can park directly. If they are still upgrading, advertise it as such. In this way, the guests can know to expect a noise.

I didn't look carefully at the ad beforehand, so we were a bit caught off guard because there were no towels. It was also a bit noisy because there was a large group of people having a barbecue just outside our bedroom window. Nevertheless, the sleeping place was tastefully furnished and very tidy, thank you.

Although we had a great time at Seaview Lodge, there were a few things that bothered us. The stove in the unit's plates took an awfully long time to get hot enough to cook, placing the stove on the cupboard right under the other cupboards didn't work for us either. It was uncomfortable to make any food on it. The microwave placed on top of the fridge was also very impractical. I'm very short and couldn't reach to warm anything in it. We really enjoyed the indoor barbecue, seeing as it was cold and rainy.
Very nice stay. Attention can be paid to cockroaches in the unit concerned. It was nice to watch the KykNet channel. A security gate would be an asset at the front door. Still a neat place to stay with all the basic things you need.
Standard self-catering facilities like coffee, sugar, towels and soap, was not available. There were nice pots, pans and braai equipment.
