11 guests' feedbackThoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Sedgefield Lodge. Warm hosts and their dogs are just as welcoming. The place has beautiful views of the river/lake. It'a quiet and secluded. The house itself is beautiful. You have everything you need. The bedroom is a spacious, electric blanket for cold nights, everything is clean. And plenty of books to read for bookworms. We have to visit again for a longer stay. Thanks to Michelle and husband for hosting us.
The dam and estate are special. Very nice boating and the accommodation was cute, stylish and very comfortable.
The beautiful scenery and its secluded location made our trip so worth while.
Very cute place. Will definitely book the boathouse next time for our family and friends. My 2 Jack Russels quickly became friends with our hostess's 4-legged children. Men could enjoy fishing. Butler was always helpful and friendly. View over the water in the morning and evening brings peace and calm. The best were the zebras that grazed peacefully on the grass in front of our little house. It's 5-star worthy for sure.

Very nice place with a very nice view, much more than we ever expected.
We were told we could bring our dogs, which we were very happy about, but we didn't know there were other dogs running loose. We had to keep our dogs in the unit and on the porch all weekend (we had to pack chairs on the porch to make sure they couldn't go out) and keep them on leashes. Every time we had to ask for the other dogs to be closed before our dogs could go for a walk. It really put a damper on a visit with friends we hadn't seen in so long. On Friday afternoon, after we had already unpacked all our things, the owner recommended that we might have to stay in another place because we now have a "difficult situation". If we had known these things we would not have brought our dogs with us. I think they might just have to explain to the guests who want to bring dogs that there are other dogs running loose and there isn't even a gate on the porch to keep your dogs away from the other dogs. Their dogs are cute and not aggressive and this applies to our dogs as well. Unfortunately, we and their dogs did not get along. One of the bedrooms is in the dining room/kitchen so to speak and they may need to think about putting a partition between the room and the rest of the unit.
We will definitely visit them again.
We had a fantastic time staying at Sedgefield Lodge. The rooms were very well laid out and had a great view of the dam. We wanted for nothing and were able to use our time enjoying the water and spending time with family. Thank you for a very memorable weekend. We will be back.
It's the ideal resting place, clean and tidy. The rooms are large with enough space. Our 2 Bull Terriers enjoyed it as much as we did, there was enough space for them to run and play. They also enjoyed swimming in the river. People with boats will also really enjoy it. We were there more for fishing, between 9 o'clock in the morning to 6 o'clock it was difficult for the fishing with all the boats, but after 6 o'clock it calms down. We did catch carp which were nice and healthy, and the river water is also incredibly clean. Sedgefield Lodge was really a nice place for us, and we will visit there again soon with our dogs and children
