The bed and bedding could do with upgrading. Cheap linen and a bed that is too small make you feel like you paid too much for the stay.
Definitely. There was a problem with the hot water, but it was quickly sorted by providing us with another bathroom and accommodation.

This is already the third time we have stayed there.
The location is perfect as it is walking distance from the beach. It is also central close to the shops and harbour.
Perfect area, sea view and very comfortable apartment. Across the road from the stand and the indoor grill is a winner.
There are just a few maintenance issues. The light in the corridor where you have to find your room is not working. The feeding tube light does not work. The braai's light does not work. Two tongs are broken. Please give just for each guest a new sponge at the kitchen sink. It's creepy to use someone else's with old food on it. Otherwise nice stay and will come again.

The apartment is well furnished with everything one needs for a comfortable holiday.
Ideal for 2 people and their children, as the living room is part of the master bedroom. We had a great stay, central, tidy and right by the sea. Our hostess was very friendly. Would like to suggest that a little more provision should be made for power outages i.e. rechargeable light bulbs in the rooms and a Wifi UPS.
The bedding in the double bedroom smelt slightly of smoke but otherwise, everything was lovely.
A little attention to a non-working shower head and the replacement of the outdated internal grill will make See-Struis's character unbeatable. We will definitely use See-Struis' accommodation again.

The cupboard under sink stank horribly, had to wash everything before use. Sadly the entire flat smells of braai when we walked in, supposedly not much can be done about that as the braai is in the main living area. Towel racks should be moved to wall next to shower and a shelf and mirror where electric shaver plug is. No Wi-Fi password to be found.
The apartment has a fantastic location and the view over the sea is very beautiful. The apartment is comfortable and quite well equipped. What bothered? Apartment was not clean at all upon arrival. It was dusty, windows were not clean, etc. There was nothing to clean the apartment with, and we first went to buy cleaning agents, sponges, etc so we could clean. I recommend that the owner/responsible person make sure that the apartment is clean, everything is there, and also that all the lights are in working order. We replaced some of the bulbs that were broken on arrival. Despite what bothered me, I would love to stay there again and would also recommend Sea Ostrich.
The place has a very good location and beautiful view but: The shower lacks a door or curtain. The whole bathroom is wet after you shower. The toilet keeps running after you flush it. The WiFi is of very very poor quality. The TV remote wouldn't work and no one tried to help us. The bin was full of rubbish when we arrived. The charcoal maker in the braai is broken. The wine opener was very old and broke in the bottle. No Tupperware in the kitchen. The light in the living room always stays on even through the night, not sure what type of light it is but very impractical.
It was nice to have a sea view. It's very peaceful and it's good for the soul. People are friendly in Stilbaai.

It was breathtakingly beautiful, more than we expected.
Especially liked the fact that I didn't have to walk far to the beach. My wife loved the location. It's just over the road then you're on the beach. The only problem is that it is a bit far to a cafe. But you can live with it.
The place has a very good location in terms of view and the beach/river.
The owner/Manager should send out the WhatsApp message either the day before guests arrive or the morning they are expected. That way guests don't have to call to find out which unit they are in or ask for the WiFi password etc. Would be a good idea to put the WiFi password on the fridge or somewhere so guests don't have to ask for it. I only gave cleanliness 3/5 because the dustbin was dirty, the fridge inside hadn't been cleaned from the last guest and the shower door was still dirty with soap marks from the last guest/s. Plates had to be re-washed before using as they still had food bits on. The cleaning team needs to be advised of this, even more so with COVID rules & regulations. Coffee should be supplied in sachets as the Ricoffy in the tin was congealed to the tin due to the moisture. Sealed sachets will prevent this and guests can have coffee. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay in a nice big spacious apartment. Good value for money.
Perhaps a packet of biscuits in the kitchen would add value.
Good pet-friendly option for a quick visit (two nights), as long as your dog listens, because it's on the road without a fence. A few minor maintenance issues that could be looked into, otherwise good value for money for a studio apartment. Amazing view and everything just like in photos.
The unit I booked was neat. The view of the sea is unbeatable. The unit had everything I needed. The location of the house is such that you are close to everything. There are a few things that could be improved to make a stay at See-Struis even better. Because the shower does not have a door, the bathroom floor gets wet after every shower that is taken. The bath mat is not enough to handle the wetness. I had to go buy a towel to keep the situation under control. During my stay, it was rainy and cloudy all the time. Because the bathroom does not have towel racks, there is no place to hang towels. There is also no laundry rack or something similar that can be used to dry towels. This caused towels to start smelling very musty after a few days. If these things can be addressed, it will make the stay so much more comfortable and better.
Maybe two wine glasses in the unit and the internet was not great. Perfect unit and very comfortable/convenient.
This is a comfortable 2 bedroom apartment with a beautiful view. Comfortable indoor braai with open patio.

Door lock not in good working order. Thrifty with detergents, hand washing soap that foams, especially in Covid-19 conditions, would have been more appreciated. Long-handled charcoal tongs can be replaced.
A sudden decision to sleep over somewhere, and then I found this place through Lekkeslaap. Price is right, and the accommodations very satisfactory. Sorry for the covid challenges, I like to at least discourage my host, which didn't happen in this case.
There is no better location in Stilbaai. Unfortunately, See-Struis, precisely because of this, does not offer any extras. Having a barbecue right in front of the apartment while looking at the sea is special. Since our last visit, the bathroom has been beautifully redone and the linens improved. Unfortunately the bathroom still has a smell. The 2 big black dogs on the top floor barked with every coming and going, it even annoyed the neighbors. The front door doesn't want to unlock from the inside, you have to go through the sliding door, unlock it from the outside, then lock the sliding door again from the inside and only then go out the front door. I suggest installing clear bars on the bathroom windows then you can leave them open and ventilate the bathroom. Also, replace the shower head with something durable that won't rust. Bed is comfortable, kitchenette well equipped and TV works well. Remember there is no fan.
About half the lights were out. No window trim at the window above the bed and the blinds are fitted.
We had a nice time. There is only a large crack and paper jam above the sliding door, which can be fixed. Everything else was neat and clean.
Was very nice. Only one problem: The owner was moving furniture around in the middle of the night which was very disturbing. And the 1 bedside lamp's bulb was blown as well as the kitchen's. The braai and grill were also very dirty.

The residential unit was certainly built on one of the best positions in Stilbaai. The unit is very spacious, neat, clean and very well equipped. Across from the main beach and yet very peaceful. It was great, thank you.
Cold, impersonal, no WiFi, barbecue not working, small place but very dingy, right on the street, no umbrella for outside, kitchen old and very small. Only get afternoon sun. No outdoor barbecue area. Simply just "too" on the street, maybe a good stopover if you're not an outdoorsy person.

The key was not available on the way in - had to call around first. They forgot to turn on the geyser - didn't have hot water to shower - was horrible. Thirdly, we were not aware that our room was a self-catering unit - thought it was bed and breakfast included.
Place is ideally situated. Room was clean however every light bulb was different, not all worked and the blinds did not meet in the middle allowing anyone walking past the room a view inside.

Keys and access can be better managed. There are bunches of keys and doors with no numbers on them. Quite a challenge to figure out where you need to go home and which key fits.

See-Struis is next to the river mouth. Modern feeling and comfortable. The rooms area comfortabe, well-planned living area and built-in braai. The kitchen has everything you need for a short or long stay. Just bring clothes, drinks, food (and wood if you want to braai).
Room very spacious, lovely view of the sea. Kitchenette was sufficient and the bathroom too. Location was excellent.
On arrival was not able to get hold of owner on the contact details supplied to gain access to the unit, eventually had to arrange alternate accommodation for the evening. The next day we had got hold of owner and gained access. The DSTV decoder was not switched on, after numerous requests and promises never happened.
Upon our arrival at See-Struis we called the owner who gave us instructions on how to get into our unit. Our unit was very spacious with two bedrooms and a nice balcony overlooking the sea. However, I will not book here again because we could not get any WiFi access - no instructions left and no feedback from the owner in this regard. We received no feedback whatsoever from her, including regarding breakfast. Unfortunately the place wasn't very clean either, we didn't use the kettle because it was too dirty inside, and the towels weren't clean either. I would understand if there were circumstances beyond control, but then I would still expect communication.
We were booked for 17/18 Sept at See-Struis and paid the full amount for accommodation. When we arrived everything was closed and no one to receive us. After a struggle we found the owner who then motioned for us to come in, we agreed that she would refund our breakfast money as there was no one to make breakfast. So we will arrange for breakfast ourselves. Now, after over a month and several attempts, our agreed amount has still not been refunded, extremely disappointing!

Just as you see on the web! I enjoyed the time at See -Struis and have told all my friends where to go in future! Clean towels, good bed linen ,lovely view, oil heater, even rusks, coffee and tea to welcome you... The balcony was the best ─ sitting in the sun, drinking tea, reading, relaxing, looking at the sea... There is a lot of places that makes the most divine home made food for lunch and dinner. No need to cook, the only thing that boiled in my flat was the kettle. Dont forget to go to "Die Lapskuit" for the best fish and calamari in Stilbaai. I will definitely visit See-Struis again.

See-Struis is charming, the view is something amazing, accommodation everything and more than what was expected. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet our host Heinzetta, but she was constantly in contact with us, making us feel at home. Sarah who came to clean the units, when required, was very friendly and made sure we were not short of anything. We highly recommend See-Struis and will definitely be returning!

For the price you pay, we would have liked a top sheet and not just the duvet on the bed. Although it was neat, our feet were full of dust from walking barefoot. The bathroom is very small and old and has no bath in it. Some of the breakware was "cheap" and again not acceptable for the price paid.

We only stayed one night in See-Struis's small apartment. The sleeping/living area is very spacious, but the bathroom is tiny. The apartment offers everything needed and was neat and clean and it offers a beautiful view of the river and sea. We did struggle to gain access to the apartment at first and when we left there was no one to hand over the key to.
Our experience at See-Struis was not so pleasant due to cold showers. We contacted the owner but the next showers were only lukewarm and especially in winter it is not very pleasant. I just think if you get paid that much, you should at least make sure you turn on the hot water cylinder well in advance and make sure the water is hot.

The luxury 2-bedroom unit was spacious and tidy, and looks as the website portrays it. The balcony overlooks the river and sea and is a lovely place to visit even if it rains. The sea is really just a few steps over the road in front of the unit and down a flight of steps. Definitely good value for money!
