The host was great. Great house, awesome environment and very clean. The host was very responsive to any questions and took the time to come and see us and show us around. Nice and peaceful break!
The house is very well equipped for a nice relaxing weekend away. The fireplace is a great asset for colder evenings. The children really enjoyed the animals outside and safe walking routes. Just note that there is no microwave, something you miss with small children, but this is understandable since the power comes from solar panels. The communication with Herman was also very good, will definitely recommend Selah Strand Kothuis.
The house has everything we needed and more, very spacious. Deadly silence in the nights, only owls calling heard. Very few people on the beach. Really enjoyed the walking paths. Children could also enjoy cycling. Lots of bird life in the reserve. Feels like a home somewhere in a wildlife park.

Wonderful place, very safe for the children, with beautiful scenery and beautiful wildlife on the estate. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, and we had to stay indoors the whole weekend. Fortunately, the house was so well equipped that it was no problem. And the hospitality is excellent.
Selah Beach Cottage has everything we needed. Neat and clean. Definitely worth it.
We enjoyed it so much. There is a private beach clean, tidy and safe. The nature and tranquility around us made us just want to sit on the porch and not drive anywhere. The house is perfect and has everything you need. Herman provides the best service and is immediately available if you need him. We are coming back to paradise of a place for sure.
Selah is special. We had a lot of rain over the weekend and only really had a chance to explore on our last morning. This estate is a hidden gem, from the beautiful house to the animals grazing in the front "garden". Herman is top notch and has taken care of us, we'll be back soon!
What a great place for a getaway. Secluded and private. The cottage offers everything you need, with a picture-perfect view. It's an easy walk down to the beach and what a beautiful beach! Perfect for someone who loves beach walks.
Selah is a very modern house with all the necessary facilities. Beautiful view and can walk on the beach and in the estate itself. That's where you can truly rest and relax. We highly recommend it. DStv would have been welcome.

Special welcome with biscuits and a bottle of wine and excellent communication from the hosts. The house is well appointed with special extras like the outside jacuzzi!

The house itself is very nice and well appointed. I think in the summer it can be a lovely cool house, but in the winter or on cold days it's really cold. Fortunately, there is the most wonderful fireplace that makes the room feel cozy and a gas heater. The beach is really quite a walk from the house, it's better to drive to near the gate. But everywhere is very clean and the tranquility is incredibly nice!
Springer Bay is isolated from the crazy busy holiday spots in the area. It's exclusive, peaceful and private. You can enjoy cycling, jogging or walking. There are ibex, zebras, springboks and other small game to be seen - also many turtles. Very private beach - you are mostly alone there - sometimes there might be one other group of people. If you feel like going for a swim among many people, you can drive to Vleesbaai (or walk if you have a lot of energy), or to Mosselbaai or Klein-Brak's beach for the day. Selah is not facing the sea but you can see the sea. It's dead quiet and you rest well. It's an eco estate so all houses only have solar power so you don't even know about load shedding, but you have to work sparingly with the electricity.
Quiet, peaceful. Lots of hiking trails. Lovely for the kids. Definitely come again.

Reuben and his wife go out of their way to make their cottage as tasteful and welcoming as possible for their guests. We immediately felt at home and were terribly spoiled with all the extra surprises they put out for us. Even wood, flash and matches! The house is beautiful, stylishly finished with calm color schemes that blend in with the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it. There is more than enough to do for nature lovers and the whole family derives pleasure from a peaceful soul-renewing break! They will see us again for sure!
