The campsites are all situated near a dam with nice grassy spots and lovely large gum trees. There is no electricity in the campsite, and warm water is generated by gas geysers. The communal ablution block has separate ladies and gents facilities. Both fitted with showers, toilets and basins.
Wood and ice is available. Braai packs and fresh farm bread is also available on request.
Activities on our farm include milking the cows, driving with the farmer to check on the sheep and cattle in the field, or swimming in the farm dam to pass the time.
Many photo moments with all the bird-life on the dam, mountains all around, horses roaming the farm freely. Black Bass in the dam at the camp site. Mountain bikes and 4x4's are welcome. The road up and over Elandsberg to Elandskloof is for the more adventurous.

26 guests' feedbackWe had a great stay and will come again, love the nice area and all the facilities. Thank you very much.
It was so good to get out of the city and to be able to just enjoy the surrounding mountains, the farm sounds and the night sky.
Enjoyed it a lot. Camped on the grass under trees. My two boys really enjoyed the farm and the outdoors. Boer and his family are very hospitable. Could see how they milk the cows on the farm.
We had a great camp. Flies were a bit redundant, but that is to be expected on a livestock farm. Amenities are great, especially the lovely pool.
For people who can appreciate nature, this is the place to visit. The peace and quiet is what makes the place worth it.
Yes, I enjoyed it. I got delicious fresh farm bread and also nice firewood.
Very nice place to stay, nice location under trees or nice grass to camp on. Hot water on ladies side wouldn't work, and sink wasn't very clean, other than that the experience was very good. Will definitely stay here again.
Good location, real farm atmosphere, basic amenities.
We spent 2 nights at Seweweekspoort Op-die-Plaas Kamp to enable us to explore the area and to cycle Seweweekspoort. It's a quiet site but the mountain views across the small dam (usually dry) are stunning, as are the night time skies. The ablutions are very neat and new, with 3 showers, 3 handbasins, and 3 WCs in the men's section. The same applies for the ladies, except they also have a bath. There is plenty of gas-heated water. We did struggle initially to find the place due to subtle differences in the names on the roadside signs and the booking confirmation. There is no mains power. Braai stands are provided with grills, and a dustbin with a plastic bag is also provided.
We will have to put the visit at Op-die-Plaas on our Top 10 list! We are grateful that the Hunluns share their farm in the remarkable Seweweekspoort so hospitably with visitors!
Well appointed facilities.
We were looking for something out of the ordinary and wanted to travel on back roads - definitely got what we were looking for.
Basic camping gear, but sufficient. Ablutions clean. Communal kitchen with fridge/freezer which can be used by anyone seeing that there is no power.
It was very cold. We really enjoyed the fire. They brought us Wood to make a nice fire for the cold. They also gave us the option to sleep in the hall should it be too cold to camp. It rained, and we could stay longer without difficulty. It was very nice even though it was cold.
We were received very kindly and what is a plus point is that everything is available on the farm and that you do not have to drive kilometers to a shop.
Beautiful campsite with a lovely swimming pool and other facilities. Very beautiful under the trees. All the facilities are clean and tidy.
We arrived on the 17th August and the snow started to fall at about 11:30 that night. We woke up in the morning to a white blanket over everything. Truly amazing! We were able to build a nice fire in the lapa where we spent the rest of the day and where we prepared our evening meal. Jonel and Frits were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for the whole week. Went out during the day. Visited Calitzdorp and other places of interest. Really enjoyed the stay.
See stars.
We had a great time camping here. Such a pity that the drought is emptying the little pond, but all in all everything is set up well here. Feel free to buy the sausage too, it's delicious!
We had the whole campsite to ourselves, it was really nice. Will just bring poison for the lakes next time. Sorry we couldn't swim or milk cows.
We enjoyed it, the owners were very friendly and had a warm welcome. Nice camping. Their idea with hall where you can make purchases and just write on the book and wood supply is great. They also came over the weekend to see if we were okay. The time of the year was bad, pond is empty, we chose the best "summers" camp spot, re. lovely trees, but was cold. I only experienced one hot shower for 30 seconds, for the summer it will be stunning. The other campers were calm and even though they brought their dogs along, it was a pleasure. All complaints we have and I mentioned it to the owner were campers with a "drone" that started bzzz after 7 and it's illegal in public areas for privacy. So that one person had no respect for 2 days, but yes, otherwise we enjoyed it and drove out through Seweweekspoort. Think for summer campers with children and if the pond is full, this is the right place.
Thank you Johanel for an amazing stay!
Very neat, friendly and rustic people.
Friendly owners. Neat place with grass and shadeing trees.
We enjoyed our visit however we were the only folk in the camp, so it is probably not as peaceful when it is crowded! The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Drought has taken its toll all around the country and it is visible here as well. Dam empty, but it was still a pleasant evening with a fire and the stars out in droves. Great early morning view of the mountains and sunrise. Ablutions great and extra effort was apparent. Directions to campsite could be a bit better with two or more additional signboards. Friendly people, as most farm people are in South Africa.
