What a fiasco: On arrival there are no directions where reception is. The wrong room is allocated, the bathroom floor is 30% wet, the toilet leaks, the aircon doesn't have a remote (it's apparently broken), no face towels, the sink faucet is loose, it looks like it's going to fall out at any moment. After we finished unpacking, we are moved to room 2. We move you soon, the "we" was my wife and I, no help. The face towels were soon "stolen" from another room, different colors, quite battered just like the place, it needs serious attention. The bathroom's exhaust fan is noisy, completely rusted. No problem, we fix it soon tomorrow morning, the wind turns then the fan turns with the most horrible noise, 3 days later we leave and the fan is still whirring, simply ignored. The food and service in the restaurant makes up for a portion and the great service of the restaurant manager who does everything herself - kudos to her. The Friday night steak special was extra tough, not her fault, nor the mass of fat on it. Pieter, the manager, has no idea about driving, much less about repairs. No storage or hanging space for clothes or towels in the bathroom. The sliding door's wheels have been done and therefore cause the door to be ruined - clearly no maintenance is being done. The cleaner uses an old broken cloth to wipe the grease from the pan and then washes the dishes with the same cloth and dries them too, it looks like she wiped the mirror with it too, it was full of grease streaks. From our booking agent there was no language or tidings, how does one manage such a place? Summary: Extremely weak! You never see us again. I understand that our roads are a mess, but if an infield road is worse it just shows poor management and ownership. Yes, you are actually responsible. Pathetic. Have you ever spent an evening yourself as a guest in each room with your food and luggage? A clear no! We were in the hospitality industry too! Our place was a winner because we controlled it ourselves and were personally involved. Sis, I'm ashamed of you. We were in Mthatha in a much more professional place and then we got this shock.
