This is a beautiful guest house close to the dam. Do note that the units are not located close to the parking area and that luggage has to be carried up and down many stairs. The Osprey unit is well equipped but has almost no dam view. If one is looking for a peaceful atmosphere, this location and New Year's Eve are not a good match. This reference is to the overall Hartbeespoort area and does not refer to the guest house in question.
I call it a little paradise because it is so beautiful! The host is such a lovely spirit; she made our stay extra special because it was my husband's and my 10th anniversary! I would highly recommend.

Water's Edge is beautiful, clean, well equipped and has the most beautiful view of the pond. an oasis. We were warmly received by the owners who immediately made us feel at home. a wonderful experience.
We enjoyed a warm welcome with Annelie. Felt right at home. We slept great. Very comfortable beds. The weather was wonderfully warm. My husband enjoyed fishing, and my boys enjoyed paddling on the pond. I would go back again anytime. It was a delightful and pleasant experience. Very definitely worth it! As a young couple celebrating our 2-year wedding anniversary with our infant son - Water's Edge Shabbat Guest House could not have been more perfect! Annaliese and Janet are so friendly and really went out of their way to accommodate us. The view from the room, balcony, garden and braai area were absolutely picturesque. We got to really relax and enjoy the beauty of the Hartbeespoort Dam and nearby boats. We wish we could have stayed two nights. Kingfisher Cottage is so beautiful to stay in. Location-wise it's perfectly situated close to shops, restaurants and the Snake and Animal park where we headed to. Thank you so much Anneliese for your thoughtfulness and faithfulness.
