Few steps from the pool. Sea view from the porch and very clean and tidy.

Very friendly service.
Debbie received us warmly and immediately made us feel welcome. The Dolphins cottage was beautiful and well furnished with a garden where our dachshund could play safely. It is very safe. With beach access across the street we were at the ocean in no time! There are also several other beautiful beaches just a short drive away. The staff are friendly and considerate. We will definitely stay there again!
We would have loved to have had a sea view. Bits of it were visible. The photos on the web page show a very nice sea view, but this was not the case for our rooms.
The unit is well located, safe and meets all needs and requirements to ensure an enjoyable visit. Beautiful sea view from our unit.
The accommodation was up to standard, but the use of the swimming pool was not at all available to us as advertised and for which we paid and booked. The owner and family were all the time by the pool either doing garden work or on one side of the pool watching traffic. So will not be booking or recommending the place again anytime soon. Thank you.
Rooms are large, comfortable and well equipped with 5-star service! Definitely pet friendly. Management went out of their way to even put up a small fence for us to keep our two yorkies safe. Would definitely recommend a visit to Shaka's Seat!
Linen is old and needs refreshing. Kitchen equipment not up to standard. Not clean.

It's very nice and clean, but would like to have a sea view, and also not share my porch with the neighbor. It feels uncomfortable to sit on the porch and your neighbor is having a barbecue. So we who love to sit outside could not. The fact that they do not have credit facilities also makes it difficult. Would have liked to know ahead of time and had to go and withdraw cash specially on a busy Friday to pay the outstanding amount.
Friendly people and honest.
Will not go to Shaka seat again. Trash cans overflowing. Don't bring your new black bag for drum and can't delete. Had to wait for cleaner to come and clean. Tiny towels put there for us. It's a bed and breakfast, but they don't serve breakfast at all. Very few asked us what we needed. We paid cleaner too. No smoking in rooms and owner is not very friendly. Place don't see me again.
Janey is a very pleasant hostess and went out of her way to make the stay as pleasant as possible.
I was holidaying with my two dogs and Shaka's Seat has a cute, secure cottage with a private fenced garden. We had a nice stay.
It was a pleasant weekend and the accommodation met our expectations. We enjoyed the sea view and the balcony, although we had to close the balcony doors at night to be able to hear the TV in the Tiffany suite (maybe because of the rain and the wet road). Janet is a very friendly and helpful hostess.
Have a great time and rest assured for our few days. Beautiful surroundings and nice beach.
The pictures are misleading, it looks like it is right on the sea, but there are two rows of houses between Shaka's Seat and the beach. No aircon in the heat of KZN is unbearable, we tried to sleep with the door open (even though we were requested not to), the roof fan is just not enough, but the street is very very busy and noisy. There was a half used bar of soap in the shower, there was biltong lying around on the deck, there is a shower curtain which I think is very unhygienic. The neighbors on one side talked very heartily and on the other side smoked, so it was not pleasant with the patio door open. Overall very disappointing.
It was safe and close to the beach. We would highly recommend it to couples with a pet who wants to take it with them. We had the apartment which is also nice and private. It has a small garden and a fence so your four-legged child can run freely. It's not very luxurious, but it has all the necessary accessories. I'm a bit on the heavy side and think the bed may have felt it. The staff was friendly.
First the TV didn't work, after two days without TV we were moved to another unit. Power tripped frequently and it was a big problem for them to come and fix it every time, blaming us for overfilling the boiler. Last two nights they moved us out of desperation to one of the luxury units which were very comfortable, we were housed in the garden units. Would I stay there again? Not at all.
Shaka's Seat was neat, well located and a pleasure to stay at.
