The staff are very friendly and provided clear directions to the lodge; however, the road leading to it is a bit bumpy. We certainly look forward to going back!

Amazing place for couples.
This is a beautiful place, lovely and quiet. The only issue we had was that we didn't have hot water the first night; someone forgot to turn the geyser on. But otherwise, it was lovely all around.
I would, however, recommend that they provide some kind of hanging or closet space in the main bedroom of the unit that we stayed in. We had to keep all our clothes in our bags.
A peaceful and pleasant stay.
Enjoyed our weekend away - 4 adults with the peace and quiet we wanted and everything was good - helpful and friendly staff all round - a great break away from the city and not that far away.
We camped on the caravan site with our Skipper Oyster trailer. The trailer handled the dirt road to the stand with ease. Beautiful location, clean bathrooms, friendly reception and helpful staff. Barbecue and bathrooms are cleaned daily. Pitches each have their own water tap, power (caravan blue plug type) and braai stand. The 5 pitches are very close to each other, so go as a minimum of 2 pitches next to each other as friends or family, or you will have to make friends with your neighbor very soon. The place is really worth it if you are looking for tranquility for a few days, in the forest under the stars and a stone's throw from the West Rand where we live. Will make a visit there again.

From the moment of our arrival, it was evident that Shamba Yetu had meticulously planned every aspect of our experience. The breathtaking views and a myriad of activities available ensured there was never a dull moment during our stay. Whether you're seeking a serene connection with nature, a chance to recharge, or simply wish to immerse yourself in a good book, Shamba Yetu is the perfect haven. The private tents contribute to a peaceful and quiet atmosphere on the farm, making it an ideal retreat. We're already looking forward to our next visit to Shamba Yetu, and our heartfelt thanks go to the team for making our stay truly memorable!
We will be returning bi-weekly to this wonderful place. The images do not do this place justice. When staying at Shamba Yetu Mountain Lodge, the friendly resident Nyala named Bambi is always around for a visit. We were visited by a muster of peacocks, which was absolutely beautiful. Having your own private plunge pool and fire pit is exactly what every couple needs on a quiet weekend away. Enrica, the host, is so friendly and accommodating no matter the time of day or reason for a call. If I could give Shamba Yetu Mountain Lodge a 10-star rating, I absolutely would.

Both tents are beautiful with everything you need. The 5 campsites are open and close to each other, it will work well for friends or family visiting together. The ablution facilities are also beautiful and clean.
Very nice location. Tent houses are very well equipped, comfortable and beautiful. There are lovely outdoor recreation areas and walking trails for children. The staff are very helpful and came early every morning to clean the braai and service the cottages. I will definitely go again!
The place is pleasantly beautiful, affordable and close to Gauteng for a quick getaway. There is enough field to keep children busy with a nice farm pond/swimming pool to cool off in.

Tranquility at its best.
We were upgraded from a caravan site to a luxury tented home. We were welcomed with open arms and received friendly service at all times. The grounds were clean and tidy at all times. The braai facilities were cleaned early every morning and new wood was brought every day. We were on nice hiking trails and really enjoyed our time at Shamba Yetu Mountain lodge. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Shamba Yetu is very still and peaceful, exactly what we needed. The campsites are nice and clean and you can camp under the wild olive trees. The staff and owners are very helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Will definitely go again!
I like to zip around and always use the website to book. This was one of my personal favorites for sure! My two daughters (12 and 14) and I just wanted to get away from the city. 2 days before we arrive they call to make sure I know the way and have all the numbers I need. When I got there there was a bridge with water overflowing (after the previous day's rain) Heather and Viona came with the bakkie and picked me up, drove me over the river in my own car, no issue. We drive up the mountain to the tents. They show me and the girls around while Joseph unloads all our things (3 girls can fit). Heather asks if we like walking and offers to take us for a walk the next morning and meet Bambie (the tame Njala ewe). So we walk and Viona tells us about the farm, trees, history and how their dream became a reality. They listen to my children's stories about Anime, friends, their weird views on life. When we finished there, Heather called the neighboring farm and arranged for us to go look at the lions. None of this was part of their job, but they chose to sacrifice their personal time for our sake. I haven't met two such amazing, real people for a long time. It's weird these days. Apart from the hospitality, the stay in the tent is something else. It's glamping. You hear the foxes and lions sing to each other through the night. The birds wake you up and you can greet the day in the fun-beautiful forest. You are part of the painting. Joseph even came to save us from a frog. Peace of mind, a piece of heaven that I would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the city. Shamba Yetu, you will see us again for sure! Thanks for the beautiful memories!

It is a nice, quiet and safe place. One gets to be one with nature. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the city noise. After the visit felt so refreshed. Enrica is hospitable & welcoming. We felt at home.

The tent we lived in was large and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Enrica was an absolute star. She stopped by just before we left, and kept time with when we were supposed to arrive. She helped us with wood and ice, and was particularly hospitable. I am in the industry myself, and it was nice for me to experience it a bit from the other side. The game drive was wonderful and we saw and experienced so much of nature. We went for a walk every day, it was safe and the nature was beautiful. Even our neighbors were friendly. It was my little girl's first time experiencing a farm pond, so she enjoyed herself, we all did.
If you go for wildlife, rather not, all we saw were 3 spring goats, 4 donkeys and 1 zebra, if you want to go just to rest and do nothing, definitely the place. Unit was well equipped and tidy.

There are not many units so it is absolute peace and quiet. The Samburu unit looks all brand new. It is very neat and clean with the most beautiful view. Can absolutely recommend to break away and rest.

We really enjoyed relaxing by the campfire every night, the sleeping facilities were also very nice. The weekend was just too short, will have to go back in warmer weather.
The place is breathtaking and incredibly quiet. The perfect getaway in the woods. Everything you need is already there. The people are incredibly friendly and happy to help where they can. Unbeknownst to us, their staff cleaned the place every morning and made the bed. One really doesn't have to do anything except rest. I also got engaged to my partner this weekend with the most beautiful view. Would like to thank everyone at Shamba Yetu for the wonderful time.
All the amenities were present, and the owner was in constant contact to make sure everything was fine. Michael was very friendly and helpful, and cleaned the braai early every morning, replacing the used wood with fresh wood.
Wow we were so blessed by Enrica and Shamba Yetu. Everything from start to finish was as good as it gets. 6 star service, friendliness, hospitality, scenery, nature walks all over the farm, peace and tranquility, spending time and cooling off in the water at the river picnic spot, birdlife at the spruit and much more. Enrica went out of her way to accommodate all of our requests. Everything exceeded our expectations, really. Thank you and very well done Enrica and Shamba Yetu. Just remember to bring mosquito repellant/spray during the summer months.

Beautiful lodge with friendly staff and owner. Super clean and has great kitchen utensils for basic cooking and food prep. Beds have electric blankets for winter nights, which is a nice gesture from the lodge.
Enrica and the rest of the staff are the friendliest people. They get 10/10 for hospitality! Enrica is ready to help you with anything you might need. We camped and the ablution facilities are very clean and tidy! The view anywhere on the farm is breathtaking! We will definitely visit Shamba Yetu again. Really value for money.

The staff are salt of the earth people. Incredibly friendly and genuinely care about the happiness and comfort of their visitors. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful with a view over the Magaliesberge. We stayed very comfortably in the fixed tent and had everything we needed. Nice sitting area with a braai and a fire pit. Chef Heather arranged a romantic picnic for us by the river with a large selection of food to choose from. Overall a great getaway with luxury and comfort.
During our arrival we were kindly received by Enrica and her staff. We immediately relaxed and the beautiful surroundings were beautiful. Enrica checked in with us in the morning, prepared another unit for us. It meant a lot to us. There are many birds just everywhere around you. Beautiful viewpoint that ends the day on a high note. Highly recommend.

I was very pleasantly surprised that the workers and management were available to help at any time. The ablution block is the cleanest ablution I have ever seen at a campsite.
We really enjoyed our short stay. Accommodation was lovely and had everything we needed. We would have loved to have seen more animals, but were unfortunately unlucky in this department.
