The best staff, very helpful. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The phone network around the area is not the best, but it's understandable why it's like that; the area is secluded.
Everyone was so welcoming and the food is so delicious! Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated.
We adored our stay. I've never been to that side of Langebaan, and it was idyllic. I just wish I booked a longer stay.

The villa is a self catering holiday home. The hotel's facilities are not easily accessible and the villa should preferabiliy not be advertised as part of the hotel.
The location is absolutely beautiful and outstanding, however the staff at the hotel were just not very friendly and accommodating to my partner and I. I felt like we often had to reach out to them for help/ assistance instead of them checking in on us and helping us out. The food service also wasn't the best. We were told that dinner ends at 9 but when we went downstairs for dinner at half 8 we were told that we only had 30 secs to order our meals. We felt rushed and the food was not great. The staff could have been nicer/ more accommodating to paying guests. The room was not the cleanest and the bathroom shower door was disgusting. I have videos showing the dirt on the doors which looked like it has been there for a long time. I did not think the room we stayed in was worth the price. It was really disappointing and we we're looking forward to checking out and leaving.

Spa provided great treatments. Staff did try to provide good service and to accommodate some unusual requests. Breakfast disappointing. Not offered fish/cheese alternatives non-meat eaters. Disappointed that we had to pay a lot extra for cappuccino or hot chocolate etc - already spending plenty on B&B. Loadshedding- especially doubles - was a nuisance- while there was always light - Toast, French fries, and machine coffee were not available. WiFi was weak and very inconsistent around the property - even within the bedrooms.

The family villa is actually a holiday home on the other side of the hill from the hotel. The hotel's facilities are therefore not easily accessible and it is somewhat misleading to describe the villa as part of the hotel accommodation. The hotel's facilities and view are used in the advertising photos but are actually relatively irrelevant because the house sits in a completely different location. The alarm system of the house was faulty and kept going off. There was almost no provision for loadshedding and the firewood in the fireplace was wet and unusable. The house is also currently between two construction sites where two other houses are currently being built. Not what we expected.
Unfortunately, there is no positive feedback.
On our way to the hotel I received a phone call from a staff member at the accommodation. The phone call was very unprofessional and not helpful at all. We stayed in a self-catering flat. The accommodation mentioned "villa," however it was just a 2-bedroom apartment shared in a double-story house. I cannot even give cleanliness a 1-star rating, but I have to give something for it to show. The towels were dirty with brown and black streaks. There were spider webs around the whole apartment. The bedding was not changed, and there was also dust and dirt in the beds and pillows. WiFi is non-existent, and the signal is not great. In the end, the price I paid was just for the view and nothing else.
We will definitely visit again in the future. Everything was beautiful and service was friendly and professional. Beautiful location and view over the sea. Could just forget about everything for a weekend and take in the beauty right before our eyes. Thank you to every person at Sharkbay Hotel & Spa. It was a lovely weekend.

The hotel was ideal for my stay because I wanted to be at regain my sense of peace. The restaurant serves the best meals, especially supper! There are great activities to do in the area.
No warm reception or greeting by name upon arrival. We arrived at 12:00 not realizing it was a 03:00 check-in. We waited and then checked at 01:00 with reception and they said "oh yes your room is ready". We were about to leave to go for lunch. Our room was a mountain-facing view but we looked onto the parking lot and the garbage bins that were obviously regularly ransacked by seagulls. Would not recommend this room.
Luxurious facilities. Loved the room and restaurant. Fabulous view. Excellent service. Loved it.
