Mike and Carol are amazing hosts. The cottage is clean, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. The perfect setting for a lovely break from city life.
Carol and Mike are wonderful people and it was truly a pleasure to be able to stay in their unit. The wildlife moving between houses like this and dropping in was wonderful. Shawu is definitely worth another visit and with the wildlife park only a few kilometers away, we are already making plans to visit again soon.
Slept 5 nights. Seen a lot of wildlife. For every day two words: Excellent past. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. You are tops as hosts.

Carol is an excellent hostess. We received a small gift and she welcomed us with open arms. The unit is neat and just what one needs. Will definitely stay there again. It's peaceful, quiet and almost on the river. The perfect holiday break.
Mike and Carol are wonderful hosts. You will go far to find more warm and friendly people. Clean and tidy accommodation with surprises here and there. Close enough for nice walks to the river. Lots of wildlife visiting the chalet and we saw the elephants at the river twice!
Nicely spoiled with a bottle of red wine and a mother's day gift from Carol and Mike owners of Shawu. And of course when we were driving, Carol again shared a packet of sweets for the road. It was very nice and the owners of Shawu made our trip special. Feel free to visit. Neat accommodation with hospitable owners. Near Crocodile River with gifts. The little things that made us feel welcome.
Carol and Michael were perfect hosts. The cottage was neat and clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary, Carol even left clean water, fresh milk and ice in the fridge for us. Definitely perfect for a single person or a couple.
We were super impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage. It is a cosy, safe and peaceful place and only a few minutes walk from the river. Carol goes the extra mile by leaving cold water in the fridge, putting out coffee, milk etc. and even spoiled us with a snack basket. We will definitely be back!

Quiet and peaceful, within walking distance of Crocodile River where you can have a nice walk along the wildlife park's wire and look for wildlife.
Beautiful, spotlessly clean, excellently located, much more than expected and wonderfully rested. Walking distance from the cottage to the border of the Kruger, without all the traffic on your doorstep.
Will truly recommend Shawu Bush Cottage. From our arrival we were greeted with friendliness until our departure. The place is clean, tidy and comfortable. Small gifts here and there shows the friendliness and willingness of the owners going the extra mile. Short walking distance to the river a bonus. We will certainly be returning soon.
