Fantastic accommodation with everything one needs.
Very nice. Will go again.
Shebeth is a beautiful place indeed. We loved every bit of the house. It is fully equipped to cater for all our needs. The only downside we had is having security at our doorstep every few minutes and we were told we were making noise for the neighbours and animals. We were reasonable during the day as we were outside, and then in the evening we went inside. But we were told by security that we must go back to where we came from, which was rather very rude and unnecessary. We felt attacked, especially on Saturday, to a point that we all went to bed early as we just couldn't enjoy ourselves anymore.
It was very nice, thank you.
Hi, hope you are well. I just want to say thank you very much for your home. It had been so much fun, and everything was perfect. Your house is well equipped and we lacked nothing. We will only book your house from now on. I will definitely recommend your place to all our friends and family. We'll see you again soon. Thank you very, very much. Greetings, Marius.
Fantastic vacation! Will definitely recommend this place to others.
Service and location were very good, it's value for money.
Well-equipped house with an awesome view. More than expected.
Very well-equipped home, very tidy. Private and beautiful view of the bushveld. The owner is also very friendly and assisted with everything. We will most definitely book again.
Dear Claire Thank you very much that we had the opportunity to visit there in comfort, lovely clean bedding and towels. Would recommend your place as 5 star! Friendly welcome and enjoy the outdoors.
Shebeth was beautiful, neat and safe! We lived comfortably and had everything we needed! Saw a lot of wildlife, we even saw the leopard early in the morning from the balcony! I would definitely suggest it for groups and even a quiet getaway with your loved one!
Very nice place. Excellently well equipped. Everything needed and more was there. Had a great time. Will definitely go again.
It was great. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Think lights or power with loadshedding should be looked at.
We had a wonderful rest. The house is very well equipped good value for money.
Wow. Wonderful place. Nice and big. Nice visiting area. Where mom and dad can unwind, while the kids swim. Very nicely laid out and the whole place flows right from the kitchen to the braai and pool area. There is enough space to move. It's very private no one can see you. It's the perfect place for a peaceful, luxurious getaway. Very pretty.
Great everything good you can stay or spend months the vibe good apartment.
Would love to visit the place again!
Cleaner daily on premises before 8:00, can be disturbing if you want to sleep a little later or want an early coffee in night clothes on the porch. Maybe cleaner as an optional extra? Also just warn future guests to bring their own toilet paper.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The braai area and deck by the pool are lovely. Great view looking into the bush with regular visits by various animals: kudu, nyala, duiker, wildebeest, warthog and bush babies. We loved sitting on this outdoor area around the braai. We visited the Kruger Park daily too. The indoor lounge and kitchen is a bit small for large groups but it was fine for us and the kitchen is well equipped. Beds and showers were good. There is no plan to assist during the load shedding, but luckily it did not affect us at all. The large bedroom above the garage has an odd open-plan bathroom - we would suggest to stick some anti-slip tape on the shower base as it is very slippery. The shower head is a bit low too. Otherwise a lovely place and a perfect, relaxing getaway! Many thanks.
Away from the buzz. It was nice and quiet with other houses being far away. The pool was kept clean. The deck and swimming pool were the best. We enjoyed the aircon and fans. The towels and linens were kept clean.
Ideal place for friends and family. To have a quiet and private visit with a fire and swimming pool with a beautiful view of the area. Will visit Shebeth again anytime.
Very nice, neat and clean place.
We had a great stay, neat place, safe and clean. The power was out one morning, and this resulted in no hot water, and could not get hold of the owners at all. The R1000 deposit that was paid was only paid back a week later after I had to call just to get it.
The hangout area with the pool is fantastic and we hung out there the whole time. We could not use the one house because there were bats nesting and they flew around the room in the evening. The house also needs maintenance. None of the workers on site were wearing masks either.
We stay in Marloth a lot and booked December Shebeth as a family. On our arrival we were surprised - the house looked much bigger on the web photos, as well as the pool. It's a wonderful property but is definitely not set up for 12 people. There are only 2 pool loungers, ACs didn't work, remotes didn't have batteries, the house has 3 fridges of which only 1 worked, at the end of the week they came to fix the garage fridge which then the apartment upstairs the garage's power trip so we had to turn off the fridge. We had to keep our food cold on ice and had to throw it away. The technician mentioned that this is an existing problem. The house and apartments were not clean, there were grease marks on the fridges and cupboards, an awful lot of dust and cobwebs. Vent star handles are broken, sliding door above is very difficult to get open. The garden tap was broken and spilled water very badly, we reported this to the cleaner who contacted the owner although the cleaner knew about the leak and just left it. The main bedroom's bed was broken, it looked as if the support beam of the bed was put in after the time so I suspect the bed was broken beforehand. The pots are mostly burnt and some rusted, there are not enough champagne glasses for the number of people to take home. The DStv was not on, I contacted the owner and after about 2 days he was on. As expected, the house really looks much bigger and more impressive than it is on the web. The house really has a lot of potential but needs urgent attention from the owner especially when it comes to maintenance and cleanliness. We paid a lot of money for the week and we had a great time as a family but the problems with the house were very disappointing especially considering what we paid and the inconvenience it caused. The fact that there were swimming pools was really great, not many houses offer that.
See stars.
Great Experience. A lot of Game surrounding the home. Fireplace and swimming pool makes it even better.
The accommodation is lovely for a big group. There are a few improvements which can be made: upstairs cottage needs proper curtains and the toilets need doors, there was not enough crockery and cutlery for the number of people staying in the house and the upstairs cottage needs maintenance. The pool and braai area are stunning and relaxing, kitchen is well sized and is comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay, everything that was described was available. And more. We highly recommend Shebeth to anyone, we'll definitely be back.
The place was neat and clean, with a beautiful view of nature, peaceful, just everything we needed for a break at an affordable rate. Will definitely use them again and also recommend to our friends and some of my clients who may move in that direction.
Aircon and the small room's remote is without batteries. Shower and sink in the same room were clogged. Sent someone the next day to unclog it. Sink in large room also clogged. Unclogged it myself. Aircon in big room does not cool (room too big for such a small aircon). The power was constantly tripping. After the municipality came to do this a couple of times, we investigated and found a hot connection to the municipality's power box. On the third day they replaced the cable and everything worked better for a while. In the big room, the power continued to trip. The wall plug is broken and taped closed. Someone tried to make a plan there, but it kept tripping. We switched off the bedside lamps to make the aircon work. We have to switch off the refrigerators to reduce the power consumption to make everything work. I think for that amount for 4 days one expects to have amenities that work.

A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.Check-in/check-out details
House rules
R1000 refundable key deposit needs to be paid into the establishments account before arrival. The stove works on gas & the oven needs to be ignited with a lighter inside, push the gas knob in and ignite with the flame. Please ensure that you take a lighter along as these go missing often.
If the power trips (out of load shedding) - there are 2 DV boxes, one in the garage and one in the spare bathroom, please turn all breakers up and down to reset. If that still doesn’t work, there are 2 boxes outside that bring electricity into the house. One is in the drive way and one is across the road - please turn the breakers on and off and see if that corrects the fault.
Please try not to leave the aircon running during the day when you are not present in the room, as this draws a lot of power. The fans alone keep the house cool during the day.
You can download the Eskom Push app to track the loadsheding schedule. Keep in mind that the hot water runs off gas, which requires electricity to ignite. There are a few solar lights outside, a portable light or 2 and rechargeable globes in bedside lights and they need to be charged while the power is on.
There is firewood available at the house, at R35 per bag. You can pre-order this or give the cash directly to Petrus.
The water cooler is available and there are spare bottles which can be filled at the water shop next to the bush centre.
Please remember to pack mosquito spray, charcoal/wood/firelighters, torches, and toilet paper.
