This 4-hour hike takes in both cultivated and indigenous forests in a mountain setting and ends on the bottom of the valley where you find a beautiful stretch of Bob's River with refreshing crystal clear water, large rock pools and waterfalls . A lazy sunny afternoon spent swimming in pristine privacy.

Service was fantastic, definitely worth staying at Sherwood the night or even making a holiday out of it. Rooms are more than big enough and the view of the mountains is just wow!
Wow! What a lovely and quiet place, slept well.
Beautiful surroundings and delicious breakfast with good coffee and fresh raw honey! Vusi was friendly and helpful. He is a star! Clean white linen, towels and bathroom. We were the only guests (as far as we could tell) and had reservations for dinner. It would have been much more convenient to enjoy it in the dining room than on our shots in the room. The milk tart and cake for dessert were old and 'off'. The upholstered chairs in the room need a good wash, the wooden walking areas outside are old and broken. The parking areas no longer have shade nets on them and the fishpond is empty and neglected. The driver was polite but not particularly friendly. This place could become five star accommodation with some restoration and a stricter eye!
The rooms are beautiful, the gardens are beautifully green and well maintained. The staff are friendly and neat, and very helpful.

Sherwood Country House is definitely recommended. The monkeys are unfortunately troublesome and you have to be on your guard for them.

Sherwood is rated a 4 star establishment. It delivers on every star. With all the amenities, facilities and hospitality associated with the best. Neat, clean crips linen and a country home feel. Breakfast was included in the package, a good wholesome English breakfast. I was seriously impressed with the COVID-19 protocols surrounding breakfast buffet. Rooms are spacious and the gardens big with spectacular scenery. Access to and from Sherwood is good, roads through the mountains and forests/plantations a good and comfortable drive (minus a few potholes). The only down side was our room (twin room) did not have a door or curtain to the bathroom, so no privacy. Wi-Fi is available from the house - as to cellphone reception, little to none.
With a good breakfast included, my short overnight stay was all I wanted for a reasonable price.
We quite enjoyed our overnight stay. The location has breathtaking views. Our room, setting and decoration were more than expected.

I have travelled the world but only once have I stayed in such a fantastic accommodation. Every detail in the spacious and cosy rooms is "made with the heart". Every detail of the service is perfect. Food is fantastic.We had the most wonderful time, and I will for sure come back.

Sherwood's is a lovely country guest house with fantastic views. It's not ideal for the very old or wheel-chair bound as it is quite stoney and hilly, but my parents enjoyed themselves very much indeed!
Sherwood has a lovely old world charm, surrounded by mountains. It felt like we had our own private garden. The place is well run by Derrick & Daniela who are both hospitable and friendly.
We enjoyed the stay. The house was very cosy the linen and rooms very clean. The children enjoyed playing in the lounge.
