"Struisbaai pampering - the lovely long beach of Struisbaai!"

It's a cute little place that is nice and close to the sea, you can hear the sound of the sea. The Kolkol hot tub makes for a wonderfully relaxing time. Also very nice that it is pet friendly with a large enough area for the dog kids to run.

"Relaxing bliss."

The stay at Shoreline Cottage was very relaxing and got the batteries charged again! Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need, beds are comfy and the backyard is perfect for kids. Security is good too. Only complaint would be the Jacuzzi that was only producing bubbles from one jet, the rest is blocked because of the "hard" water, jets would have to be descaled regularly. Everything else was beautiful! Thanks Jacques for your help with the Jacuzzi and hopefully next time we will be able to enjoy the Jacuzzi fully and without loadshedding! Thanks again!

"Overall was a good long weekend stay."

The kitchen was a little small. Would've like a potato peeler but none was available. Overall it was a good weekend. The house was sufficient for our stay. I don't really like complexes but at least this one wasn't too busy. I believe it's a different story in December. The wood fired hot tub is a nice idea but you can't control the temperature and there are no bubbles / jets.

The cottage was very neat and comfortable, with a kitchen lay-out better than average from our past experiences with accommodation of this price range. The only two inconveniences that resulted in a lower score for value for money and customer service were the fact that the hot tub was not functional (also flagged in a previous review), and that the kitchen ran out of gas minutes after we switched the hob on. While the letting agent later stated that the gas would have been replaced if we contacted them, I feel that you do not hand over a unit to someone with insufficient gas to prepare a single meal. The reason why the hot tub is specifically raised during the review was that it was specifically required in the search during booking, and that I was willing to pay more for this unit than one without the additional feature. We reported the problem immediately, but no attempt was made to remedy it. We simply got a reply that we should try to ensure that the order in which we switch the tub on was correct. The order in which faulty equipment is switched on does not matter as it is the heat pump that tripped the cottage's earth leakage, no matter the sequence of activating the tub components. We tried. I feel that we therefore paid a little more than what we otherwise would have. This, however, does not detract from the fact that it was a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the country.

"Very clean and comfortable."

In general, the facilities were very good and clean and tidy. All we struggled with was the jacuzzi. We couldn't get the 'jets' or bubbles to turn on, which was a shame.

"The kitchen equipment is very limited, the Jacuzzi could not be used at all as it was not clean when we got there. I took photos of it. Very nice and cozy cottage. From a safety point of view it was very good!"

The wifi lost connection often. No extra bedding were in cupboards, and the cottage is rather cold. We had to use the bedrooms' duvets to watch TV, but we really like the layout of the house. Very child friendly, and pet friendly, and safe with high walls at the back.

Shoreline Cottage is very well-equipped for a nice time with friends. The enclosed backyard makes it convenient for small children to play on the grass and for their parents' peace of mind. The Jacuzzi and braai area are the best places to socialise. We wanted for nothing and will definitely book this again.

We as a family had a lovely time at Shoreline Cottage. Very well furnished, we read a good book, played board games and the jacuzzi was an extra treat. Would definitely recommend it for family with kids as well. The courtyard makes it safe for children/puppies and the rest can visit with peace of mind. The whole complex is safe and very close to the sea. Great weekend!
