Overall disappointing. Our booking was for 4 rooms and 2 nights. Checked out after 1 night. The sheets are stained. The towels are stained, old and unravelling. Asked for new towels and received them. In 1 room, the aircon remote is nowhere to be found and the TV is not working. The windows don't have burglar bars so cannot be left open for fresh air. There was a cockroach running over the 1 bed. The vehicle (quantum) did not fit in the parking bay and was partially in the street. Noisy neighbours. There were cigarette ends lying in the walkway upstairs and an ashtray full of cigarette ends. Reception was asked to clean up. Upon return to rooms several hours later, nothing had been cleaned. My group decided to rather check out and find accommodation elsewhere.

Other than the cockroaches and ants, the accommodation was amazing. It was a perfect night for a couple's getaway. I will definitely go again. They only need to work on the kitchen, as it was a bit messy and untidy, and they need to do more fumigation in the rooms for cockroaches and ants. But further on, it was a very nice stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but they need to present themselves a little bit more professionally. Thank you so much, Sikelela Guesthouse. The stay was amazing and we'll see you soon. I'll definitely advise friends and family to visit this guest house. It was definitely good value for the money I spent.

It is a very nice place - you do have to share the kitchen with other people and there is only parking inside for two vehicles.
I saw a huge rat outside the kitchen.
Vehicles have to park in street and there is not enough space for clients. Kitchen cupboards need an upgrade. Pest control is needed for cockroaches.
We had to make our stay joyous, but the place itself is filthy. The ladies living there light their hookah coals on the stove plates in the kitchen, which leaves a very dreadful smell in the building. The glass doors were filthy, there are no doors to the bathrooms, and even the walls inside the rooms are dirty. The kitchen drawers are dirty, and cockroaches are roaming in the kitchen. The ladies living there brought their friends, who visited long after 22h00. Doors are shutting and opening, the bell rings in the early morning hours, and the cupboards are a mess. The relaxation area is also filthy, with broken stuff lying everywhere. The washing lines are broken, and the place is just a mess. We received only one towel for 4 people. The only upside to the place is the location, and that's it.
The room had no cups or small spoons. Had to ask for everything. You have to close the door's lock, otherwise it will keep opening. The room is very small and has no room to move. The staff park their vehicles inside the secure parking area and the guests' cars are parked outside on the pavement. The owner says he is not responsible for your damage because you signed a disclaimer. Which we didn't get. There are rats the size of cats running around in the lounge area.
Probably the worst accommodation I've ever booked! None of the bathrooms had doors, the sheets were dirty, the house was constantly smelling of hookah from the host lady smoking in her room. Entering and exiting was so annoying because the lady had to manually open the gate for you, and she got annoyed. Turned on the TV and wow - the previous people's things were not cleared - porn was displayed in front of my kid - absolutely disgusted.
Rooms had cockroaches and shower doors broken. Remote access to the gate is only available to the hosts.
The place was filthy, inside and outside. There were cigarette remains next to the stairs when I arrived. In the 9 days, they were never removed. Cockroaches! I had to do laundry before putting my luggage in the house. The attitude of the lady is on another level. I will never go back. Dirty linen.
We only stayed 1 night. It was convenient. The only criticism I can give is that there were no cutlery in the room, and that the toilet seat was loose. Furthermore, everything was perfect and we were very comfortable.
Since we were traveling with young mixed gender students from the age of 10 years the cameras helped a lot.
The place is not that big but the people there is very friendly and its a very nice and decent place for sure. I'll stay there again, thank you for an awesome time.
The balcony at the from room was nice, it's very big and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was disturbing was the ants on the cupboards. We couldn't leave our food out cause then the whole place was full of ants. But further on it was great.
