Guests share a bathroom fitted with a shower. The open-plan living area features comfortable seating, a dining table, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is well equipped with a fridge, stove, and tea-and coffee-making facilities. This unit also comes equipped with a fireplace and an outdoor bathtub and features solar water heaters. Guests can enjoy braai facilities outside and guests are afforded secure parking on the premises.
For an added experience, the host occasionally offers a dinner and breakfast option, featuring a unique African-Swiss cuisine prepared over an open fire and served by candlelight, adding to the rustic charm. Simonskloof Mountain Retreat offers a range of outdoor activities, including small rock pools, hiking, and mountain biking trails.
Guided adventures such as canyoning, wilderness trekking, and abseiling are also available. Since 1999, the owners have developed a 60 km network of hiking trails, including the renowned Gecko Trail, which is now part of the 750 km Rim of Africa, the continent's toughest and longest mountain traverse.
